The snuggliest, most people pleasing, sit on your lap (even though she doesn’t fit) dog you will ever meet. She loves to chew bones and play with toys, but what she loves the most is being with her people. She sometimes gets over excited, forgets her manners and will jump up to get pets. Consistent reminders and training are what this sweet girl needs. She is learning how to go on walks. That Catahoula tracker nose is always going and causes frequent stops. She is very active and fantastic with older kids and adults. Very gentle and sits well for treats. She loves cats. She has had a traumatic experience with other dogs, so can be particular about the dogs she feels safe with. When exposed to younger kids she got stressed and had to go in her kennel. Overall, Buffy would be a phenomenal member of an active house with older kids (teens) and cats where she can get lots of exercise, play and attention. Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
