ADOPT MARCO &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 This incredibly stunning man came to us from our local shelter as a frequent flyer there. We say it over and over, huskies do not belong with inexperienced owners.  No more visits to doggie jail for this boy!  Marco is ready to move in and provide endless laughs to his new family.  He will serenade you with the songs of his people. He LOVES playing with other dogs. Mealtime is his favorite time of day… He hasn’t met a treat he doesn’t like Marco is super sweet and enjoys naps after play sessions with his pals. He is house and crate trained. Marco would love another doggie sibling. No kitties for this dude. Typical of the breed, his prey drive is strong.  Have a squirrel problem? No worries, he will chase them away. Adoption application:  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NARP/DogJune 3, 2023, 2:53 am

Story
Foster needed for a very special boy.  Polar is 7 months old and in need of a foster asap.  He is currently in boarding, which is no place for this most special boy. Polar has both visual and hearing deficits, but, he does have some vision out of his right eye and some hearing. Polar exhibits some neurological issues best seen in his wonky bunny hop when he gets excited and starts to run around in a yard. Now, for the good stuff! He is such a sweet boy who is both dog and cat friendly.  Due to his puppy mouthiness, no small kids. Polar needs some work with basic training such as using a leash to take a walk.  We have secured the services of a trainer to help Polar get used to walking on a leash and the best ways to redirect his mouthiness, given his deficits. Polar displays typical puppy behaviors such as getting the zoomies, chewing on his rubber toys, and cuddles. Since Polar is not really treat motivated, finding the perfect aid to use in his training will be key. This sweet baby needs out of the kennel and into a home setting so the training techniques can be reinforced. Foster app: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/NARP/DogJune 3, 2023, 2:53 am

Story
You may have heard the phrase “ a man of many mysteries “, well meet Preston, the dog of many names. What happens when you are a frequent flyer at the open intake shelter, you get several names. While Preston may not be our first choice of a name for a husky, he knows it, so, we go with the flow. Preston is a young, (estimated to be 2-3 years old) 75 pound hunk of handsomeness. He loves other dogs and can live with a dog savvy cat! Typical of the breed, this goofball loves every human he has met.  He is house trained, crate trained, has learned basic commands, and just an all around sweet boy.   Shortly after joining us, Preston had a minor seizure, to err on the side of safety, he has been placed on anti/ seizure meds.  This derp thinks they are just another treat.  These meds are rather inexpensive, and Preston has not had any further episodes.  If you are an active family looking for fun, this dude is for you. Preston is utd on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.  He is ready to pack his bags and join his fur ever family. Story
This 2 1/2 year old has no shortage of good looks! Dasher came to us with absolutely no boundaries or manners. Found as a stray in our local area it was clear that no one had ever worked with him. Over time he began to realize that life has rules and he was not exempt. With positive reinforcement, he has made significant progress but will require a home that can keep his sharp mind and very athletic body occupied. He is quite charming and loves to interact with his humans. Dasher will need daily exercise with no exceptions and will do best in a home that establishes a routine that he can depend on. He loves scootering and brisk walks. A securely fenced yard will be best which will provide another outlet for play and physical activity. When Dasher was initially brought in to rescue he did experience a few seizures. No underlying condition was identified and we put him on daily medication. He hasn't had any seizures since (over a year now). This handsome young one is not for rookies but will thrive in a home with a dog-savvy (preferably breed savvy) owner. He would not do well in an apartment setting or in a home where he is left alone for long periods of time. We expect Dasher will continue to make progress so check back frequently for updates. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully vetted No cats or small animals Needs an active home Canine experience necessary We provide adoption services to homes within a 100 mile radius of our West Chester, PA office. Story
This sweet-natured senior is searching for a low-key retirement home. Nikka easily makes friends and appreciates the finer things in life. She loves taking Foster Mom for leisurely walks - sometimes more than a mile a day! Nikka understands the importance of activity and has been working hard at losing a few extra pounds she had been carrying around. After her walk, she's content to take a peaceful nap. Nikka loves playing with toys, especially the ones that squeak....and squeak. True to her breed she can often be heard singing (a.k.a. howling) whether there's an audience or not. She is currently being fostered with a young Siberian and although Nikka will tolerate him we suspect she'd prefer a more quiet home. She might enjoy a more mature canine companion of similar size. Nikka loves people and can frequently be found at our Meet and Greets where she's always very popular. If you're looking for a friendly adult Siberian Nikka might be the one! We provide adoption services to homes within a 100 mile radius of our West Chester, PA office. If you are outside of that area please contact a shelter or rescue group closer to your home.
