Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Meet Hassan (ACCT-A-250493)! This sweet and goofy fellow is ready to find his perfect match. Hassan is a friendly and playful pup who quickly becomes the life of the party. He’s a big fan of enrichment activities, showing just how smart and curious he is. Hassan already knows how to "sit" and is a complete gentleman when it comes to treats. He takes them very gently, with pepperoni being a clear favorite! While he can get a little jumpy when he’s excited for some one-on-one attention, he’s easily redirected and loves to solicit pets from his human friends. He's also shown interest in other dogs, wanting to say hi through the fence and enjoying some calm greetings and sniffing time in plagygroup. When it comes to playtime, Hassan loves bouncing around the yard, including chasing toys (and then leaving them there - he's working on it). On the leash, he can be a bit eager to get going at first, but he settles down once he's had a chance to sniff around outside. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion to add some joy to your life, Hassan is waiting to meet you! 📽️VIDEOS Hassan meets Grace https://youtube.com/shorts/jHOrVjBOnWM?si=aKiTqQm5hqJKp3UM Hassan meets Pepper!: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JGZH97-lsFI Playing with Hassan https://youtu.be/Tt54kl4pGoE Playgroup 5/19 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfMCm6kgAGI6s6aQeJHHdu2D8PZQ57sOm ⭐BEHAVIOR Per volunteer 5/31: Hassan was very easy to leash and walk. I threw pepperoni in his kennel, which enticed him to gob back in. In the yard he was very playful playing fetch, he loved being pet and overall had a great time. Per volunteer 5/25: Hassan is the longest husky I have ever seen. He's a little bit underweight, so that is part of it, and has a fairly big frame, long legs and it's all narrow. With proper weight and muscling, he'll likely be a very impressive dude. As huskies go, he's very quiet. He didn't make a peep the entire time I was there, and while he was a little apprehensive about entering the grooming room (where we do the massages) huskies famously do not like baths, so this was understandable. Once we were in, though, he settled nicely for his massage and was very excited to have snacks! He responded very nicely to his massage and went from unsure to very happy and confident with a happy husky tail and some prancing and those happy husky eyes--if you know the breed, you know what I'm talking about--they get this like, cartoon sparkley eye and a kind of smiley face. He is a very, very sweet guy and I really enjoyed hanging out with him. Per volunteer 5/23/2026: What a fun guy! Hassan is playful, easy on leash, and takes treats so nicely. He was super interested in other dogs through the fence and loved chasing toys (although he hasn't quite mastered bringing them back). Sweet, goofy pup! Behavior eval 5/23/2026: Kennel Presentation: Sitting in his kennel crouched against the door. He took a pepperoni very genty through the door and stood calmly to be leashed. Leash Skills: Easy to secure with moderate pulling through the kennels. Peed immediately outside, pulling calmed down after that. Sociability: Jumpy in the yard for attention, easily deterable with a treat scatter. He took treats nicely and knows sit. Allows handling all over and solicits pets. Play: Loves chasing toys, does not take possession Dog Interaction: Very interested in Brown Butter through the fence. Loose body and vocal wanting to say hi. Return to Kennel: Hesitant to go back inside. Tossed pepperoni on the ground for him to sniff while I clipped him. Returned to the kennel with a half step. Color Level: Exp gold Recommendations and considerations: Playgroup 5/19: Not steerable, 0 with both water and can. Loose at the gate, high tail with greetings. Shook off after greeting and moved away on his own. Tolerant and mingled around. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
