Story
Jake and Gracie are a deeply bonded pair of senior dogs who must stay together. Affectionate, loyal, and low-maintenance, they thrive in a calm, predictable home where they can relax near their people. Gracie, an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, is gentle, independent, and very low energy. She’s happiest resting somewhere warm and enjoys companionship without needing constant attention. She’s food-motivated and easygoing. Jake, an approx. 8-year-old mixed breed, is affectionate and loves cuddling and praise. While he has moderate energy, he does best with short bursts of activity and settles well at home. He can be reactive on leash and has a strong prey drive, so a home without other pets is important. They do well with a secure yard, don’t require daily walks, and are happiest in a quieter adult home. They simply want to stay together and be loved.

Story
✨Meet Vixen!✨ Vixen is a 7-year-old Husky mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Vixen had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Vixen loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a mill mama, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
Our family has had Sasha for a little over a year. We got her when she was two months old her birthday is April 22, 2025. Sasha is very sweet and playful dog. She’s extremely food motivated. She loves to play tag with my child and she also loves to cuddle. She knows a few tricks (sit, lay, paw, speak, say “i love you”) and she can be very obedient. She will come with her crate and bed and a crate cover. I also have a brush vacuum for her as well. We call her crate her room so she knows to go to her room when asked. She sleeps in her crate she is not a free range pup. Chew toys are better than plush because she tears through those in a few minutes. We love her dearly however the shedding has become unbearable for me.

Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Hello, my name is: MikaDOB: 1/18/2023Sex/Breed: Spayed female Husky/Hound mixWeight: 37 lbsRescued From: Owner surrenderMika is the life of the party and the center of attention. She loves to have fun, whether she’s roughhousing with her doggy pals or playing with toys. She’s athletic, intelligent, and affectionate – checking most boxes for “world’s best dog.” Mika seems house trained, is forward-friendly with people, and is eager to please. If your family loves the outdoors, Mika is your girl! She’d be the perfect camping companion and avid hiker. Her ideal family will have the time to tweak her manners and love a dog who doesn’t understand personal space (picture face kisses and climbing in your lap any chance she gets). She would also like a doggy brother who loves to play as much as she does (she`s a tomboy herself, so she prefers to hang out with the guys). She has the most unique look with blue in her eyes and a sleek reddish coat – Mika is truly one of a kind! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
