They are working on being house trained and to go potty outside. They are both new to leashes and are getting better at taking small walks in the neighborhood. They are being Fostered at a home with a 4 year old and they do great with him. They enjoy playing in the rain, splashing around and just being around everyone. Hi everyone! It's me, Bettee! I just celebrated a wonderful birthday and am now 5 years old. I arrived at Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue with a lot of other scared dog friends. I am feeling much safer now and have learned a lot. I still need some practice walking on a leash, and going down stairs makes me nervous, though I can run up them really fast. My foster mom is helping me get used to going down steps with gentle training. I also know how to use a doggy door. If your home doesn't have one, I will need a strict schedule for potty breaks outside since I am still learning what is expected of me. I love my foster mom and all the dog friends here. I even met a cat, but he doesn't like me, so I leave him alone. I also live with a 6-week-old puppy and am very patient with them, though I prefer to be left alone when I have a toy. I am current on my vaccinations and scheduled for my spay surgery on August 24, 2026. I am looking for a forever family that I will never have to leave. I have not met any children yet, but I think I would do well with them if they are gentle and kind. I am currently being loved and cared for in Delavan, Wisconsin. Meals: she is a good eater and not food aggressive. She sits behind her pack mate waiting to see if they leave a little bit for her. Grooming: she has been to the groomers several times and they reported that she does better each time. Leash trained: does well with a harness Children: unknown, probably would do well with 8 and older. Nala is a breeder release who is successfully learning how to be a house dog. She is very sweet and has a fun personality. She loves to cuddle and attaches to her person quickly and becomes their quiet little shadow. She enjoys playing with toys, ruff housing with her foster brothers and sisters, and running in a fenced yard. She is approximately 90% house-trained but does best when on a strict schedule. She needs her person to have time to work with her on her potty training and socialization as she tends to bark when new people come to visit. She would do best as only dog, cats unknown. Shelley is a 8.5 yr old, 9 lb, black, white, and silver Shih Tzu. She is a puppy mill survivor and is looking for a loving adopter to give her the best life. The free world is new to her and she is adapting nicely, however she will need a fenced in yard. She is mesmerized with surroundings whether inside or out. She's taken to cuddling with zeal. She is a stealer 🙂 Besides the dozen little toys she has, anything she can claim as a "toy" goes in her corral, and starts over again when we come to invade her "loot". And best part of this game is Shelley is NOT destructive with what she collects. She loves her foster humans, dogs, and cats. Shelley would be good with children. Shelley is crate trained and learning basic training, so patience is requested. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
