After a difficult past, he’s still choosing love—and he’s hoping to find someone who will choose him right back. Fully housetrained and wonderfully well-mannered, Larry will gently come find you and give you that knowing look when he needs something. He doesn’t require a crate and does beautifully when left alone, especially when he feels safe and secure in his environment.This charming little companion is happiest right by your side. He’ll follow you from room to room, checking in often, and happily settling nearby for a nap. Larry adores the outdoors—whether it’s lounging by the door, relaxing on a deck, or enjoying a few short, leisurely walks each day. Though his hearing isn’t the best, he stays closely attuned to his person, taking cues from your presence and routine. He gets along well with other dogs and shows a gentle curiosity toward them, and he’s proven to be a polite, easygoing house guest.Larry can be a bit sensitive—both physically and emotionally—so he’s looking for a calm, adult home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace. He may be shy at first, especially around taller men or in new situations, but with patience and kindness, his affectionate, cuddly nature blossoms. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but once he’s comfortable, he absolutely loves being close and soaking up gentle attention. Sweet, loyal, and deeply devoted, Larry is the kind of companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay there.We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events.
