AVAILABLE SOON! I haven’t arrived at the adoption center just yet - I’m getting ready for adoption! Please fill out an adoption application if you’d like to meet me once I’m available. I'm 13 lbs., and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $500 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. Mushu- 4 month old shitzu mix who will likely be 15 pounds full grown. We do it know what day was or how much this girl will shed. A little pup full of joy! Sweet little Mushu only takes on her dragon persona when finding "treasures" to bring back to her lair! She loves her little collection of toys and socks, plays beautifully with other dogs and little kids, and is not a "hyper" puppy. She is still working on house training but goes potty well outside. She loves her crate, snacking on carrots, and finding little cuddle spots where she can chew on her treasures! Bear! This little guy is a 2 year old, 17 pound Shih Tzu mix! Bear is good with other dogs and he is getting used to meeting new people and experiencing new things in his foster home. He's working on training and doing well with his crate and potty training! He's also getting used to wearing a harness so he can start leash training. He likes to spend time with his canine foster brother, cuddling up or running and playing outside. He has also started to play with his squeaky toys! Since living in a home is new to Bear, he is looking for a patient adopter who will patiently draw him out of his shell, and work on training at his pace and comfort level. He hopes to find a loving home and would love to have a well-adjusted resident dog pup to continue showing him the way. He has the cutest little face with the most expressive eyes! He's very quiet and curious, and will be a wonderful companion as he gains confidence and let's his personality shine! Please submit an application to meet Bear if you think he's the pup for you! Roscoe has been happily settled in his foster home for nearly four months now. He's comfortably gotten used to his foster family's daily routines. Most of his day is spent curled up on the couch, happily snoozing. Roscoe’s favorite person is his caring foster mom; he loves following her around. When she's not around, he patiently waits for her return. As soon as she walks through the door, he excitedly rushes to greet her with a big, happy welcome. Roscoe truly enjoys bedtime stories with his foster baby, cherishing those special moments of being close and even giving the occasional sweet kiss.

Foster Update: "Here is what I know about them so far : 1. They Love their little crate they came in with . They want to be in there together 70 percent of the time. 2. Gino is more adventurous. 3. They are mostly potty trained . They go out to the yard and use the bathroom . They also use the pee pads . Gino will occasionally mark , but not terrible. 4. They used to bark and growl at my dogs in their crate whenever they saw them. I've been doing slow intros and they now are totally fine with them . They were just scared . I'd recommend slow intros and no teenage dogs /jumpy mouthy dogs for them. My Tilly (formally your Tilly ) 85 pound dog used to be so scared of them 😂 Now she's getting better :) They are such great easy dogs . They really love each other , so may be a bonded pair , but they are so little it's easy having two."
