AEAR rescued Lexi when no other shelter or rescue was able to help her. She came to us in pretty bad condition but is getting better every day. Lexi lived with seniors who loved her but were not able to properly care for her. First stop was the groomer because she was matted down to the skin. She is being treated for a yeast infection in her ears. Her sight is limited by cherry eye, which we will have corrected with surgery. Despite everything, Lexi is a happy little dog who loves everyone. Her favorite treat is a Pup Cup from Dairy Dream. Jeffrey needs a patient human companion as he is a special needs dog with three good legs and one that he struggles with. It would be best if he is in a single level home with no stairs or children; other dogs are ok. He is completely house broken, loves people and being the center of attention and will bring loads of joy into your home. Jeffrey does great in the car and on short and slow walks. In the grass he is a little more comfortable and confident with his leg.You do not need a crate for Jeffrey as he does well when left alone. He is totally flexible where he sleeps and he will sleep in-which can be a bonus if you're not an early morning person.
