Cassie June—CJ for short—is a sweet, gentle 4-year-old cuddlebug who’s ready to steal your heart! With her quiet nature and calm energy, she’s the perfect little shadow who just wants to be near her people.CJ loves snuggling and belly rubs. Her favorite time of day is her goodnight kisses, after which she feels most comfortable sleeping at the foot of her person`s bed. Although she is still learning the ropes of house training, she is improving every day. She most likely was never taught, so she just needs someone patient to cheer her on! Toys were a totally new concept to her at first, but now she has favorites and plays with adorable enthusiasm. She rarely barks, but when she spots a squirrel or decides it’s bedtime, she lets out the cutest little reminders!CJ strolls beautifully on a leash (will pull when she sees a squirrel friend) and naps peacefully when left alone, no crate needed. Car rides make her a bit shaky, likely from her past, but with love and reassurance she’ll gain more confidence. CJ is a loving companion who’s eager to blossom in a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored! Interested in adopting this dog? Iggy is a sweet little guy, a Shih Tzu / Toy Poodle Mix, weighing in at about 9 lbs. He is thought to be 5 years old. Iggy is an absolute perfect boy. He loves everyone. And also really enjoys being with dogs his own size; larger dogs may scare him. He is playful and active, loving and cuddly. His favorite activities including playing with toys, fetching and chasing toys for hours, leash walking (harness please!) and hanging out with his people and other small dogs. An ideal family for Iggy is one with plenty of time to spend with him! And, a willingness to buy him plenty of new toys! A moderately active household appears idea for Iggy’s balance of playfulness and calm. Small dog experience is important for an awareness of the challenges facing small dogs (coyotes, hawks, easily escaping). A secure fenced yard (above ground) is also a big advantage. Iggy is fully vetted and in overall good health. However he may be slightly visually impaired but you’d never know it. He has recently visited an ophthalmologist and currently requires eye drops…which he is not too happy about. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted.Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix.Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Hi, I’m Scruffy the little dog with a big attitude and an even bigger comeback story. Before rescue, I was a local stray fending for myself, and honestly? It shows. My fur was one giant matted disaster, and I had to be completely shaved down just to start over. Physically, I felt better right away. Emotionally? …Yeah, not so much. That messy coat was basically my armor, and suddenly I felt way too exposed for my liking.So yes, I can be a little… particular. I don’t love being touched by people I don’t know, and I’m not the type to pretend I like you right away just to be polite. I need time, space, and someone who doesn’t take it personally when I act like a tiny grumpy old man trapped in a cute dog body. ??BUT once I decide you’re cool? I trot around with my proud little prance, I’m great on walks, I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I coexist just fine with other dogs who respect that I am, in fact, the main character.I’m not here for chaotic homes or tiny humans who want to squeeze me. I need an adult or older-kid household that appreciates a dog with boundaries, confidence, and a little bit of spice. If you’re looking for a super clingy lap dog, that’s not me. If you want a loyal companion with personality, charm, and just the right amount of attitude?
