Meet Clint Black Clint Black is an adorable 1½-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a happy personality and a heart full of love. He is neutered, potty trained, and crate trained, making him an easy addition to a loving home. Clint is eager to please and does well on walks. He gets along with other dogs, but he would truly shine as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention. In his foster home, he has done well around cats and enjoys their company. Some of Clint’s favorite things include playing fetch, zooming around the yard while exploring, and curling up for snuggles afterward. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys both playtime and cuddle time. The ideal home for Clint would be one where he is the only permanent dog and can enjoy being around cats, with people who are ready to make him a true member of the family. He may not wear a cowboy hat, but just like the country singer he’s named after, Clint Black is sure to steal your heart.   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. He came to Reach Rescue from Mississippi and has been thriving in foster care, enjoying all the simple joys of being a beloved companion.  Favorite Activities: - Long walks (the longer, the better!) - Curling up on the sofa (his favorite spot in the house) - Evening snuggles with his foster  He enjoys being included in family life and would be thrilled to join his humans on the sofa or bed for nighttime cuddles. Regular walks or a fenced yard would make him one happy pup!   He gets along well with other dogs and is currently working on his house training. While he does have one bad eye, it doesn't hold him back—he gets around confidently and with great enthusiasm. He’s a five-year-old Shih Tzu, in good health (no diarrhea or vomiting) other than an adorable underbite. Cocoa is a puppy mill release who I’m sure was a house dog before being in the mill. He was house broken as soon as I brought him into my home. He’s not fond of snow or rain but typically will go out just far enough to take care of business. Cocoa is good with other dogs and is quite playful. He enjoys wrestling and tug with my dog. He enjoys walks, is not reactive to other dogs out walking and wants to meet everyone! Cocoa will be neutered on January 15th and will be available for adoption afterwards. You can meet with him before that.

She loves to play with plushie toys, loves toys with floppy ears, and a tail is a plus. She will get the zoomies and loves to run and investigate in the yard. I will need someone willing to guide me on a path to a better life. I am working on potty training She does not approach people by choice right now, but is working on it. Once picked up she wags her tail and acts excited. She will sit on my lap for a short period of time. She ignores my cats and I think would be fine with another older dog. She does not like puppies jumping around her. She sleeps in a puppy pen with a potty pad on a soft blanket and a costume She likes to snuggle with the last foster home gave me. Iggy is a sweet little guy, a Shih Tzu / Toy Poodle Mix, weighing in at about 9 lbs. He is thought to be 5 years old. Iggy is an absolute perfect boy. He loves everyone. And also really enjoys being with dogs his own size; larger dogs may scare him. He is playful and active, loving and cuddly. His favorite activities including playing with toys, fetching and chasing toys for hours, leash walking (harness please!) and hanging out with his people and other small dogs. An ideal family for Iggy is one with plenty of time to spend with him! And, a willingness to buy him plenty of new toys! A moderately active household appears idea for Iggy’s balance of playfulness and calm. Small dog experience is important for an awareness of the challenges facing small dogs (coyotes, hawks, easily escaping). A secure fenced yard (above ground) is also a big advantage. Iggy is fully vetted and in overall good health. However he may be slightly visually impaired but you’d never know it. He has recently visited an ophthalmologist and currently requires eye drops…which he is not too happy about.
