Iggy is a sweet little guy, a Shih Tzu / Toy Poodle Mix, weighing in at about 9 lbs. He is thought to be 5 years old. Iggy is an absolute perfect boy. He loves everyone. And also really enjoys being with dogs his own size; larger dogs may scare him. He is playful and active, loving and cuddly. His favorite activities including playing with toys, fetching and chasing toys for hours, leash walking (harness please!) and hanging out with his people and other small dogs. An ideal family for Iggy is one with plenty of time to spend with him! And, a willingness to buy him plenty of new toys! A moderately active household appears idea for Iggy’s balance of playfulness and calm. Small dog experience is important for an awareness of the challenges facing small dogs (coyotes, hawks, easily escaping). A secure fenced yard (above ground) is also a big advantage. Iggy is fully vetted and in overall good health. However he may be slightly visually impaired but you’d never know it. He has recently visited an ophthalmologist and currently requires eye drops…which he is not too happy about. Story
Tobey has now been living with his foster family for almost a year. Although he had a rough beginning, he has now settled in and has become the most loving member of the family. When he arrived, he was nervous around his foster dad. Over time, his foster dad worked to earn Tobey's trust and it paid off! Strict boundaries were set, and Tobey's foster dad took over feedings and spent more time with him. This allowed him to establish himself as the pack leader and for Tobey to learn his role within the family unit. Tobey understands the house rules and knows where he stands in the pack, and these clear boundaries helped his confidence so much within the house. Now he is all cuddles and kisses, and he is the first one to greet his foster family when they arrive. He is always on the lookout for a lap to lay on and gives the best hugs! He plays well with toys and the other dogs in the house. Tobey can be a little protective when new people come to the house, and his foster mom uses training tools to ensure that the guests feel welcome and to ensure that Tobey doesn't feel like he needs to protect them. Tobey is a GREAT dog - so cuddly and sweet... and he also needs an experienced owner who will continue the training established and keep boundaries in place for Tobey to be the goodest boy that he is in his foster home.He would do best in a quiet home without young children. Lil Man is a sweet, easygoing snugglebug is just happy to be loved.  Lil Man came to Reach Rescue from Mississippi. Now he’s thriving in foster care and enjoying all the simple joys of being a beloved companion. His favorite things? Long walks (the longer the better!), curling up on the sofa — his favorite spot in the house — evening snuggles with his foster, and a good treat or chew toy (especially collagen chews and squeaky or crinkly toys). Lil Man would love a forever home where he has company during the day — maybe even a furry sibling — and where he’s welcome to join his humans on the sofa or bed for nighttime cuddles. Regular walks or a fenced yard would make him one happy pup! He’s good with other dogs, knows to go outside, and is working on a few cues like “stay,” “OK go,” and crossing the street. Lil Man does have one bad eye, but you’d never know it by how confidently he gets around. Cassie June—CJ for short—is a sweet, gentle 4-year-old cuddlebug who’s ready to steal your heart! With her quiet nature and calm energy, she’s the perfect little shadow who just wants to be near her people.CJ loves snuggling and belly rubs. Her favorite time of day is her goodnight kisses, after which she feels most comfortable sleeping at the foot of her person`s bed. Although she is still learning the ropes of house training, she is improving every day. She most likely was never taught, so she just needs someone patient to cheer her on! Toys were a totally new concept to her at first, but now she has favorites and plays with adorable enthusiasm. She rarely barks, but when she spots a squirrel or decides it’s bedtime, she lets out the cutest little reminders!CJ strolls beautifully on a leash (will pull when she sees a squirrel friend) and naps peacefully when left alone, no crate needed. Car rides make her a bit shaky, likely from her past, but with love and reassurance she’ll gain more confidence. CJ is a loving companion who’s eager to blossom in a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored! Interested in adopting this dog?
