You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $ 400 plus taxBrock continues to grow into a strapping young dog each day. Brock takes a bit of time warming up to new faces either human or K9. Once he warms he is great! He is very treat motivated and smart; sit, kennel and stay are all coming along nicely and he is fully potty trained. Brock is a very playful dog who likes to play fetch with a tennis ball or frisbee and play tug-a-war with either a human or dog companion. He gets along well with his other household dog pals. At times he has too much energy for the 9 year old dog, but is getting better at recognizing social cues of when it is okay to play and when it is not. Brock snuggles and sleeps as well as he plays. He likes to get his belly rubbed and nap in the blankets. Brock sleeps in a kennel overnight but would also do well in a bed.  He is growing up in rescue, Who can be this boy's happy ever after??Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
Hello! My name is Rosalee but my foster mom calls me Rosa and Rosie. I’m a beautiful 6 year old Mini Aussie that has had a very rough life until I was taken in by NDLB. I’m still learning how to be a dog and I’m very scared but I’m trying my best. I am starting to really enjoy walks and get so excited beforehand that my little butt just keeps wiggling! I spend most of my day on the middle stairway where I can watch my foster mom and still have a quick getaway up to our room when things get scary. At night, I sleep with my foster mom in bed. I am getting used to something she calls cuddle time. The affection is a bit weird but I like it. I live with a resident dog who is teaching me how to be a dog. I rarely bark but when I do I startle myself a little bit. I didn’t know I could make those sounds! Slowly but surely I am learning that humans can be kind and I am loved. All I ask for is a safe and happy home. Could that be with you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi, I’m Riata! I’m a 5 year old mini Aussie breeder release. Because I’m a breeder release, I am very nervous around new people & places. Right now I still don’t play with other dogs, but I do take comfort in their presence. I stay quietly in my crate when my people aren’t home. In fact, I stay quiet almost all of the time! I am working telling you when I need to potty, and will need patience from my new family. I like my privacy when I’m going to the bathroom, so a fenced yard or tie out would make that easier for me. Keeping me on a schedule and using a crate or pen also helps. Kids are very loud and I’m not sure I enjoy their company quite yet. Loud noises send me running to a hiding spot. If you think you have a safe, quiet home that I could learn to be comfortable in- I’d like to meet you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxMeet Lulu, her curious nature keeps her exploring, sniffing out new adventures in every corner. Lulu's intelligence is evident in her quick learning of commands and tricks, while her loyalty is unquestionable, always returning to your side. She's full of energy, making her the perfect companion for active individuals or couples. Lulu does need slower intros with other dogs. Please note, Lulu would do best in a home without children or cats. Adopting Lulu means gaining a loving, loyal friend who will fill your days with joy and activity.    Lulu would do just fine by herself. She would also be great with a fenced area. People coming in and out would take a little while for her to get used to them, but with loving family and affection it'll work. She is very quiet when there's no excitement happening. Lulu loves walking alongside or near you. I’m Addie, and I am the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! I didn’t have the easiest start to life, so I’m nervous about new people at first, but I warm up after I realize I’m home and safe. Boy, oh boy, do I looooove to cuddle, and I like pets and scritches. I'll even nudge your arm and hand for more pets! I really want to be loved, so please take a chance on me, even though I’m scared at first! I need another dog in my home to teach me how to be confident and to bond with. I absolutely LOVE my doggo foster brother and playing with him, so I would love nothing more than to have another pup that wants to run around with me. My dog friend being my best friend is so important for me to continue to live my best life. Because of my fears, I'll need a securely fenced yard to live my happiest life, and you'll see a different side of me when I'm outside playing! I am potty trained on a schedule when you're home with me, but I can also keep my kennel clean for a workday. My foster mom says I'm the easiest little girl because of my sweet demeanor and smarts. I keep myself busy with toys during the day when mom works, so I'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home!  Once I'm comfortable with you, I think I would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put my border collie abilities to the test! I get really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so I would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, I just want all the loving I can get from other dogs and adults!
