💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Forgotten Star Brewery in Fridley on Sunday, 3/29 from Noon - 2:00pm! 💚 -Age: 4 years old -Weight: 13 lbs -Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home -Cat friendly: unknown, but likely -Kid friendly: Yes -Potty trained: On a schedule (mostly) -Crate trained: Yes -**REQUIRED: Companion dog within the home -Adoption fee: $595 Meet Lolli. This little princess came into rescue with a severe case of PTSD. Scared of everything, she wanted nothing more than to disappear. She did everything she could to make herself invisible. Well, that was a year ago. Since then, Lolli has learned about joy and being safe. Lolli loves to play with other dogs, big and small. She likes relaxing in a snuggly bed. And most recently, she’s decided she really loves to snuggle on the couch with her foster mama. This tender hearted angel is still scared by people reaching for her. But she’s fine once you pick her up. Lolli would love her very own family where she can continue on her journey to become the happy, well adjusted pup she was meant to be. Her family will need to be calm and patient. But she is so worth it. Come meet her and find out.

Bea is a sweet, smart girl who had a rough start in life but is learning so fast how wonderful it is to just be a dog. Each day she gains confidence, picks up new skills, and shows off her goofy, playful personality. She loves playing fetch, running around the yard, and happily herding her foster family during playtime. While Bea can take a little time to warm up to new people, once she feels comfortable her true goofball nature shines through. She’s well-behaved, eager to learn, and clearly very intelligent. Bea takes her cues from her foster sisters and has learned a lot by watching them, so she would do best in a home with an existing playful dog who can help her continue building confidence. Bonus: she does well with cats too! Age: 3 years old Weight: 14 pounds Dog friendly: Yes, Requires one in home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, but adult -only home preferred Potty trained: Very close but still has accidents Crate trained: Yes, does well in a crate when left alone ** SECURE FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME NEEDED** Hi, my name is Reyka, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I spent the first years of my life in a puppy mill with no kind human connection, so I’m still learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’ve made tremendous progress in my foster home, including becoming potty trained with a routine, learning to walk on a leash, adapting quickly to household routines, and loving car rides. My foster parents call me an enigma in the best way - yes, I’m often nervous and unsure, but I’m also deeply curious, observant, and eager to learn. I’m looking for a forever family who can help me continue growing and figuring out who I am. Ideally, you have experience with shy dogs, but I’m also willing to teach you. I sleep in my kennel at night and when I’m home alone, so I’d like a home where someone is around often. Because I’ve spent my life living with other dogs and draw confidence from them, I do need a calm, supportive dog friend in my new home. I’ll also need a securely fenced yard; it gives me a safe, quiet space to go outside while I continue working through my fearfulness and flight risk tendencies. Most of all, I’m hoping to find my special person - someone patient, gentle, and willing to learn my cues and love me exactly as I am today. It’s hard to predict who I’ll become. I may never be a super cuddly lap dog, and that’s okay. I might prefer sitting a few feet away on the couch watching our favorite show, taking long, slow walks together, or following you around the house to see what you’re up to. If you’re looking for an incredibly smart, gentle, and brave soul, and you’re ready for a relationship built on trust, respect, and small victories, I would love to meet you. Adoption fee: $625

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lavender found herself unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  She is good with other dogs, and people, but cats are unknown. She is higher energy and uses her mouth to beg for attention, very like the Australian Shepherd herding breed characteristic.  She is a puppy and can grow out or learn to redirect that energy. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. She recently arrived in MN and we are getting to know her and will  update the bio soon.  We have learned that she has a good recall, kennels easily, sweet and social. She can be vocal but does know when to quiet down.  First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2026, 7:25 pm

Story
Eunice came to rescue from Animal Control. She is a spayed female black tri Australian Shepherd, approximately a little over a year old. Eunice is a high energy dog whose foster has worked hard on her tendency to jump on people, so this behavior is much more controlled. She will sit and lie down on command as it is her opinion that these are fun tricks to do! She loves her stuffed toys but does have to monitored when she has them as to not shred them to pieces. (This is why we can't have nice things Eunice... you need to be nice to your toys if you want them to last Eunice...) She loves to be pet and talked to - her foster has been working on her house manners, observing her to be well-intentioned but a diamond in the rough. She needs a home that will enjoy training her and she loves to learn. She does have an off switch - she will enjoy herself on the deck and watch the birds. She loves her crate and has learned to "wait" to come out. She also was recently groomed and was a very good girl for the groomer. The details: Needs fence: Likely no, but needs established trust before being off lead Good with dogs: Yes, better with neutral dogs Good with cats: Not really; does like to chase those that run Good with kids: Seems to be All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dogs and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice, and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.

Story
Odin is a 5 year olds, neutered male black bi Australian Shepherd. He is 37 pounds, housebroke, good with cats, and likes people but is bit nervous around strangers. He does pull on leash some, is well mannered in the house and can sit, down and shake. Odin is currently living in a foster with 6 other dogs with no issues. Odin was a transfer from a shelter in Iowa due to the fact that he has issues with body handling and needs some work in cooperative care to get him comfortable with grooming and vet visits. His foster is working on muzzle training and desensitizing him to brushing. Odin is very treat motivated and loves his training sessions on the grooming table. Scroll down on our facebook to see a live session on cooperative care using Odin as a demo. In that video I mention that Odin is headed to a new home. We took him there but the resident dog and Odin decided very quickly that they did not want to share a home and he came back to his foster the same day. The details: Needs fence: no, but unsure how he is off leash Good with dogs: yes, actively avoids conflict in house with 6 other dogs. Good with cats: yes Good with kids: likely not due to issues with bodily handling. Older kids would be fine. All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. 💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Trove Brewing in Burnsville on Saturday, 4/4 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm! 💚 🐾 Meet Brit 💖 📍 Age: 4 years ⚖️ Weight: 28 lbs 🐾 Breed: Border Collie 🐶 Dog Friendly: Yes 🐱 Cat Friendly: Unknown 👶 Kid Friendly: Yes, but adult-only home preferred 🚽 Potty Trained: Yes, good on a schedule 🏠 Crate Trained: Does well being left loose in the house when left alone 🌳 Fenced Yard: Yes, physical fence required 🦴 Training: Leash trained, rides well in the car 🏡 Best Home Fit: adults-only household, apartment-friendly, and great companion for seniors Brit is an easygoing, calm presence who’s ready to settle into a peaceful, loving home. After navigating life on her own, she’s learned to appreciate the simple things: a soft place to nap, some gentle attention, and a safe spot to lounge inside or out. She’ll greet you at the door with a wagging tail, but she’s not demanding—she comes to you when she wants affection and is content to snooze the day away. On walks, Brit is a dream. She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be with a calm fur sibling in a quiet adult home. Brit recently had one eye removed after an unfortunate porcupine encounter, but she’s recovering beautifully and has shown zero aggression toward other animals while in care. 💵 Adoption Fee: $495

Story
Age: Estimated DOB 6/29/25 Weight: 57 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, but prefers to live as an only dog Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes **FENCED YARD REQUIRED** Hi there, I'm Gwynn – Your Future Best Friend! 🐾 I’m a 9-month-old pup with a heart full of love and a whole lot of happy energy. I’m ready to find my forever home—whether that’s with a person or a family—where I can share all my positive vibes and become your loyal companion. I’m a smart girl who already knows sit and down, and I’m working hard on stay. Like most young pups, I’ve got some playful energy, and when I meet new people I get excited and might bounce a little—but I’m polite and don’t jump on my new friends. One of my favorite people in the world is a 7-year-old neighbor who comes to play with me every day. I love to play with doggie friends. I live with three German Shepherds right now and at times have been reactive with them sharing our indoor space. As I have gotten more comfortable with the resident dogs, the reactivity has lessened. I’m still figuring out the world and what it means to feel completely safe, so sometimes I can get a little protective of my people. When that happens, I just need a moment to reset—and I’m already learning how to handle those feelings better every day. I would do best as the only dog in the household or with an experienced adopter that will be patient working with me. I’ve even had a fun adventure at a farm! I learned that horses are just really big dogs (once I got used to them), cows are kind of boring, and…well…chickens are still a little scary! But I’m curious and learning new things all the time. I’m not much of a barker—I prefer to show my love through actions, not noise. When it comes to food, I’m a slow eater. I’m making great progress with sharing and trust—I’m comfortable with people around my food—but I’d do best eating in my own space for now while I continue building confidence. I’m otherwise very easygoing, even sharing water bowls with other pups. At night, I’m super flexible—I’m happy to snuggle up in bed with you or sleep peacefully on a dog bed or in my crate (open or closed). My crate is my safe, cozy space. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who’s still growing and learning, I could be the perfect match for you. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags into your life. Could you be my forever home? 💛 Adoption Fee: $395
