Story
Hi, I’m Cruz! I’m a 3 month old Collie/Heeler mix with a playful personality and a whole lot of love to give. I enjoy playing with other dogs, do great with kids, and I’m always ready for fun or a good cuddle. I’m currently living in a foster home where I’m crate trained and learning all about house manners and walking on a leash. I came to the rescue with a scratch under my eye, but it’s healing nicely and doesn’t slow me down one bit. I’m looking for a family that will help me continue learning while giving me all the love and adventures a growing puppy deserves.

Story
Dear Future Valentine, Hi. My name is Lulu, and I wanted to let you know… I’m kind of the whole package. 💃 I’m a Border Collie mix with a brave heart. I'm super smart and loyal. I love adventure...long walks, running around the yard, chasing squirrels (they’re suspicious), and going for car rides. I’m playful and agile, but I also know how to relax and enjoy quiet time at home. 🏠 I already have my manners down. I’m crate-trained, housebroken, walk nicely on leash, and know my basic commands. I’m respectful with other dogs at mealtime, friendly with dogs, gentle with cats, and great with kids. Basically, I’m pretty easy to love. 😍 I enjoy affection, but I’m not clingy...I love just being near you, checking in, sharing space, and knowing we’re a team. I’ll protect our yard, keep an eye on things, and still curl up contentedly after a good day of play and exploration. 😴 My perfect Valentine has a sense of adventure too - maybe other dogs to play with, a yard to run in, or someone who loves walks and outings as much as I do. Give me activity, companionship, and love, and I’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and my whole heart. 💞 My foster family says I’m “perfect.” I think they might be right — and I think I might be perfect for you. Love, Lulu 🐾 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Story
Harley ~1 year few months. Male. 55 lbs. Friendly with other dogs. Good with kids. Way too curious about cats! Since you're reading this, you're obviously looking for a new best friend, hey, so am I! I don't care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, that's me, the hunky guy in the pictures, with the silky, soft fur and soulful eyes. My Foster Mom thinks I am a Border Collie and Great Pyrenees cross. My perfect match would be someone who loves giving me tummy rubs and snuggles and wants to spoil me rotten, never leaving my side. I don't mean to brag, but people tell me I'm a lot like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson as everyone is my family, I am funny, could be a great action star, and... I'm BIG and a softie at heart! When I'm not admiring your every move, I love toys and romping around the yard. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? That pretty much sums up Mr. Harley. He is everybody's best friend and thinks he is a 55 lb lap dog. But don't let that fool you, he is still very much an energetic puppy in his behavior. He is a big goofy dog with so much personality. He has BC smarts with the Great Pyr soft and loving nature. Harley was found as a stray in OK and he does need a well maintained tall fence, as he is a free spirit and finds many things way too interesting and he easily jumps a 4' fence. Harley takes to training easily. He is food and toy motivated and will need to continue his manners work. He may be rough around the edges, but has SO much potential. Harley is currently located in the DFW area. For questions about Harley or to apply, contact us through bcrrt.com.

Story
My name is Sydney and I am a 30 lb, 3 year old Mini Aussie mix, spayed, healthy, athletic, and FUN! I love people, food (all food, especially spinach!), and tennis balls. I also enjoy car rides, going to fun places (especially if you help me not feel overwhelmed by too many stranger dogs), playing fetch (best thing on the planet!), and crushed ice! My Faux Mom and I have been working really hard to get me ready for you! I have nice house manners, and am learning to have nice manners with other dogs. I live with a dog who tolerates my Mini Aussie herding style and the way I alert them to noises and squirrels! My dog friends need to give me a little space, and be OK with sharing all their toys. I eat in my crate so my dog friend doesn’t have to worry that I’ll eat all her food and we can both eat in peace. I sleep through the night in my crate, and am crated when no people are home, and I don’t mind that at all. I’m hoping for a home with a nice yard for ball play (do this enough, and I won’t need a lot of other exercise!) with no small animals (chasing is SO FUN!) and no small children (same reason). I am located in the DFW area of Texas and can’t wait to have a home of my own. Please apply to adopt me at bcrrt.com.

Story
Velcro Companion: Captain Hook is looking for a co-pilot for life. He is a five-year old and 55 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and healthy. He is good with people, dogs, loves kids, is curious about cats (but has never lived with one). A devoted buddy who promises to follow you from room to room, just to make sure you are okay. With soulful eyes and a gentle demeanor Hook has never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a slow way and a gentle nudge for pets. He never barks, but makes guttural sound when he is happy or hungry. Does not pull on lead when walking and will also follow you wherever you walk or jog. Hook is a bubbly guy and always ready for a walk. He does get car sick ... so don’t feed him before transport. He slobbers a lot in the car, probably thinks he will be left. Hook lost his original Dad when he died and feels secure in a kennel. He often retreats to his kennel during the day. He uses a doggie door. He is afraid of storms so kennel him during thunder or fireworks. He is smart.... learned doggie door in one day. Does not climb on furniture, but wants to be a lap dog on the floor. Beautiful blue and brown eyed he has not had toys before. He now tosses them and carries them outside and doesn’t return them, but I think that is trainable. Basically, low-maintenance and high-affection. He is perfect!!!

Story
Izzy is a special girl looking for her forever home. She’s full of heart, endless cuddles, fierce loyalty, and pure joy when a tennis ball or her beloved donut toy appears. Izzy may take a little time to warm up, but once you’re hers, you’re hers — her person, her safe place, her whole world. She would thrive in a quiet home with no young children and no other dogs. She’d love an older couple or empty-nest home where she can soak up attention, enjoy calm walks, play a good game of fetch, and then curl up inside with her people. She has a great off-switch and knows when it’s time to relax. She’s 6 years old, 41 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained (but does well out), walks nicely on leash (strong girl!), rides great in the car, and is located in DFW. Izzy doesn’t need perfect — she just needs hers. If you think that might be you, apply today at BCRRT.COM

Story
Millie is a sweet girl living the farm life now, but that almost wasn't her story. At just 8 months old, she was set to be euthanized by her owners, not for any real reason, they simply didn't want to care for her anymore. Her veterinarian couldn't stand by and let that happen. She stepped in and offered to board Millie until a foster or rescue could be found. That's how Millie ended up here. Today Millie is thriving in a farm foster home. She's good with cats, dogs, and children, she recalls beautifully once she knows and trusts you, and she is an absolute snuggle bug. Here's the honest part: Millie will likely be terrified of you at your first meet and greet. Tail tucked, glued to the opposite side of the room, unsure if you're safe. That's just how she greets new people right now, and she's come a long way already. With every new introduction, she's getting braver and more confident. Millie is looking for HER person. Someone with the patience to sit with her fear, let her come around in her own time, and earn the trust she's learning to give again. Could that be you?Millie is spayed, vaccinated, and on heartworm preventatives. She's ready to call your place home!  ##2615806##

Hi, I’m Nessa! I’m a 4-month-old Heeler mix weighing around 21 lbs, and I’m as sweet as they come. I get along great with dogs and kids, and while I’m still unsure about cats, I’m ready to learn all about the world around me. I’m playful, affectionate, curious, and very treat motivated, which means I’m smart and eager to learn. I already know “sit” and “shake,” and I’d love a family who will keep helping me grow into the best girl I can be. If you’re looking for a fun, loving pup with lots of potential, I’m your girl!

Story
Hi, I’m Brownie, a 6-month-old Heeler mix weighing about 31 pounds, and I’m just as sweet as my name sounds. I’m playful, curious, and love a good toy, especially if there are treats involved (I’m very motivated, just saying 😉). I already know how to sit and I’m a quick learner, so with a little guidance, I’ll be your well-behaved best friend in no time. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and while I’m not quite sure about cats yet, I’m open to learning. I’m affectionate, gentle, and love attention, but I may need a little help polishing up my leash manners and keeping all four paws on the ground when I get excited. If you’re looking for a fun, loving pup to grow with, I’m your girl!
