Story
Lulu Smart, Steady, and Ready for Her Forever Family If you’ve been searching for a dog who’s the perfect blend of brains, beauty, and heart, let us introduce you to Lulu. This Border Collie mix is the kind of girl who makes life better just by being in it. She’s athletic, clever, loyal, and always up for a little adventure. Whether it's a long walk, a romp in the yard, a squirrel‑watching mission, or a car ride to anywhere you want to go, Lulu loves being part of whatever her people are doing. She also has opinions and is happy to share them with you. She’s also wonderfully calm and content at home. After a good day of exploring, she settles in easily, happy to share space, relax, and enjoy the quiet. Lulu’s Best Qualities: Exceptionally smart and eager to learn Crate‑trained, housebroken, and great on leash Knows her basic commands and has solid manners Friendly with dogs, gentle with cats, and wonderful with kids Respectful at mealtime and easy to live with Affectionate without being clingy. She loves connection, not constant attention Lulu is the kind of dog who checks in with her people, stays aware of her surroundings, and takes pride in being part of the team. She’ll help keep the yard safe, keep you company on outings, and curl up contentedly when the day winds down. Her Ideal Home: Lulu would thrive with someone who enjoys activity and companionship. She'll do well with a family with kids, a home with other dogs to play with, or an adopter who loves walks, adventures, and having a smart partner by their side. Give her structure, love, and a place to belong, and she’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and her whole heart. Her foster family says she’s “perfect.” They’re not wrong, and she just might be perfect for you. ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
My name is Sydney and I am a 30 lb, 3 year old Mini Aussie mix, spayed, healthy, athletic, and FUN! I love people, food (all food, especially spinach!), and tennis balls. I also enjoy car rides, going to fun places (especially if you help me not feel overwhelmed by too many stranger dogs), playing fetch (best thing on the planet!), and crushed ice! My Faux Mom and I have been working really hard to get me ready for you! I have nice house manners, and am learning to have nice manners with other dogs. I live with a dog who tolerates my Mini Aussie herding style and the way I alert them to noises and squirrels! My dog friends need to give me a little space, and be OK with sharing all their toys. I eat in my crate so my dog friend doesn’t have to worry that I’ll eat all her food and we can both eat in peace. I sleep through the night in my crate, and am crated when no people are home, and I don’t mind that at all. I’m hoping for a home with a nice yard for ball play (do this enough, and I won’t need a lot of other exercise!) with no small animals (chasing is SO FUN!) and no small children (same reason). I am located in the DFW area of Texas and can’t wait to have a home of my own. Please apply to adopt me at bcrrt.com.

Story
Izzy is a special girl looking for her forever home. She’s full of heart, endless cuddles, fierce loyalty, and pure joy when a tennis ball or her beloved donut toy appears. Izzy may take a little time to warm up, but once you’re hers, you’re hers — her person, her safe place, her whole world. She would thrive in a quiet home with no young children and no other dogs. She’d love an older couple or empty-nest home where she can soak up attention, enjoy calm walks, play a good game of fetch, and then curl up inside with her people. She has a great off-switch and knows when it’s time to relax. She’s 6 years old, 41 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained (but does well out), walks nicely on leash (strong girl!), rides great in the car, and is located in DFW. Izzy doesn’t need perfect — she just needs hers. If you think that might be you, apply today at BCRRT.COM

Story
Shadow was adopted from the shelter at estimated 3 years old. He is now estimated 6 years old. He shows signs of previous abuse and prefers a quiet home (preferably without kids). He does well with adults and is very fond of women. He is high anxiety and likes access to his crate or a closet for safety. He has always done well with new dogs outside of our home. At home he can be territorial unless he knows the other dog. We think he is part Basenji, and he extremely rarely barks. He is a lower energy dog and would be good in an apartment or smaller space.  Shadow is housebroken and uses bells to let you know when he needs to go outside. He knows basic commands, but they best demonstrated when he is not anxious. He loves a good bone but rarely plays with any toys.

Story
Millie is a sweet girl living the farm life now, but that almost wasn't her story. At just 8 months old, she was set to be euthanized by her owners, not for any real reason, they simply didn't want to care for her anymore. Her veterinarian couldn't stand by and let that happen. She stepped in and offered to board Millie until a foster or rescue could be found. That's how Millie ended up here. Today Millie is thriving in a farm foster home. She's good with cats, dogs, and children, she recalls beautifully once she knows and trusts you, and she is an absolute snuggle bug. Here's the honest part: Millie will likely be terrified of you at your first meet and greet. Tail tucked, glued to the opposite side of the room, unsure if you're safe. That's just how she greets new people right now, and she's come a long way already. With every new introduction, she's getting braver and more confident. Millie is looking for HER person. Someone with the patience to sit with her fear, let her come around in her own time, and earn the trust she's learning to give again. Could that be you?Millie is spayed, vaccinated, and on heartworm preventatives. She's ready to call your place home!  ##2615806##

Story
Zuko and his other puppy brothers were adopted by me and my cousins. He was found beside a grocery store at just about a month old with his puppy siblings. I have taken care of him with everything I possibly can but i am unfortunately very busy as of a recent job switch and I would like him to get the attention and time he deserves. He is a very sweet puppy about 10 months old and I love him very much. Looking for someone who can take care of him how I wish I could

Story
Hi, I’m Ryland! I’m an 11-month-old Heeler mix weighing about 35 pounds, and I’m always ready for my next adventure. I’m affectionate, gentle, curious, and well-behaved, and I love playing with toys, especially a ball! Toss it for me, and you’ll have a best friend for life. I’m also treat-motivated, so learning new things together will be lots of fun. I get along great with other dogs and kids, but cats aren’t really my thing. My back left leg moves a little differently than my others, but don’t let that fool you, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying life or chasing after my favorite toy. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with a heart full of love, I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Hi, I’m Brownie, a 6-month-old Heeler mix weighing about 31 pounds, and I’m just as sweet as my name sounds. I’m playful, curious, and love a good toy, especially if there are treats involved (I’m very motivated, just saying 😉). I already know how to sit and I’m a quick learner, so with a little guidance, I’ll be your well-behaved best friend in no time. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and while I’m not quite sure about cats yet, I’m open to learning. I’m affectionate, gentle, and love attention, but I may need a little help polishing up my leash manners and keeping all four paws on the ground when I get excited. If you’re looking for a fun, loving pup to grow with, I’m your girl!
