Story

Amber and her sister, Margot, were dumped, and luckily, not like so many other dumped dogs that get killed or starve, they were picked up by someone in rescue. They have been together all their lives, and we would love to see them stay together if possible. So, please check out Margot too if you are interested in this sweet girl.Amber lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. The girls sleep and eat in the same kennel and love to cuddle together. Amber has good house manners and is crate trained. She loves attention, even if she is a bit timid with new people. She is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story

Margot and her sister were picked up as strays. Luckily, someone found them before they starved or were killed. She and her sister, Amber, have been together their entire lives, so we would love to see them adopted together, if possible. Both girls are athletic, but Margot so much that she can jump and climb over the fences at her foster home to go where she pleases. Luckily, she stays on her property and goes into different areas to play with the other dogs or her foster family. Her foster has not worked on trying to keep her contained, but this would be a concern until she could adjust to her new home; she does have excellent recall. We have a portable containment system to send with her for someone willing to work with that training.Margot lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone, including the livestock rescues. She has good house manners, is crate trained, and is working on walking on a leash. She is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartwormprevention.

Story

🐾💕 Warning: You may fall in love! 💕🐾 Meet Rosie Roo… or Roo, RoRo, Baby Bear, Baby Hippo, or just about anything you want to call me! I answer to them all! 🐶 I'm healthy, spayed, heartworm negative, vaccinated and a 38–42 pound bundle of love with a big personality, an adorable face, and one very important hobby: EATING! 😂 If snacks are involved, count me in! That's how I earned my nickname, Baby Hippo. A girl's gotta eat! I love other dogs, tiny humans (kids are some of my favorite people!), walks, cuddles, couch potato time, and keeping an eye out for squirrels. I'm also perfectly happy sharing my home with cats, even the ones who decide to run around. Here's something important about me: I'm still building my confidence, so having another friendly dog in my forever home is a MUST. Having a canine buddy helps me feel safe and confident as I continue learning about the world. And if my new family includes kids who want a sweet, furry friend to love, even better! ❤️ I'm looking for a family who will be patient with me, help me grow in confidence, include me in family life, and understand that I'll need some guidance as I settle in. Could you be the one I've been waiting for? 🌹 Rosie Roo is ready to find her forever home! 🌹 📍 DFW area 🐾 Must have another dog in the home to help build my confidence.🐾 💕 A family with kids would make my heart extra happy!💕 Apply to adopt at bcrrt.com

Lucy

Border Collie

Female, 3 yrs

Prosper, TX

Size

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats,

Story

This beautiful girl is Lucy. She is 3 years old and everything you expect a Border Collie to be. She is highly intelligent and focused. She has a super sweet temperament and loves people. Playing tug and with her jolly ball are 2 of her favorite things to do. She loves to give kisses and be petted so much that she tries to climb in your lap. Lucy knows sit, down and stay on command. She is crate trained and rides well. She is housetrained except for some occasional submissive wetting when attaching her leash. When she came to us, she was afraid to walk on a leash. She is now doing better with it but still can be a little fearful of it at first. She is UTD on all vaccines, HW negative and on preventative, and has been spayed. Lucy will need a home where she is the only dog and without cats. She has a very strong herd drive and focus so even though she has not been tested around children more than getting pet by them while on walks, small children would probably not be a good fit for her. Lucy will be great for someone who is looking for a dog that is highly driven with lots of energy. She is no couch potato. This girl needs a job. Please apply to adopt at bcrrt.com.

Izzy

Border Collie

Female, 6 yrs 8 mos

Prosper, TX

Size

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Izzy is a special girl looking for her forever home. She’s full of heart, endless cuddles, fierce loyalty, and pure joy when a tennis ball or her beloved donut toy appears. Izzy may take a little time to warm up, but once you’re hers, you’re hers — her person, her safe place, her whole world. She would thrive in a quiet home with no young children and no other dogs. She’d love an older couple or empty-nest home where she can soak up attention, enjoy calm walks, play a good game of fetch, and then curl up inside with her people. She has a great off-switch and knows when it’s time to relax. She’s 6 years old, 41 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained (but does well out), walks nicely on leash (strong girl!), rides great in the car, and is located in DFW. Izzy doesn’t need perfect — she just needs hers. If you think that might be you, apply today at BCRRT.COM
