Story
Oreo is a silly, gentle girl who loves zoomies in the yard and spending time with her people. This sweet 18-month old, 26# Lab/Beagle mix is the ideal companion and the perfect size to join a fun-loving family. Oreo is a kind, affectionate girl who bonds deeply with her people and loves with her entire heart. Her gentle personality shines through in the sweetest ways - always wanting to be included, curling up nearby while you work or soaking up sunshine after a good walk. She is easy and fun to have around. Oreo has a medium energy level and would thrive with a family that enjoys regular outings like neighborhood strolls or exploring new places together. Staying home is not for her! She deserves to be included in life’s adventures with her people. Besides getting out and about, she loves watching for critters and playing fetch in the yard. Oreo gets along beautifully with other dogs and is great with cats in her foster home. A canine sibling would be a bonus, though not a requirement. She is capable of climbing a 4' fence: if her new family has a fence, it must be at least 6'. She is also suited to a family that keeps their dogs safe on leash. Because she can be timid in new situations, she’d do best in a home with kids 12+. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, is housebroken on a schedule, and is building confidence when left alone. She’s learning leash manners and would love obedience classes to bond with her family and gain faith in herself. Oreo came to rescue very pregnant and lovingly raised seven healthy puppies. Now that her mama duties are complete, it’s finally Oreo’s turn to be cared for, cherished, and adored. Is this gem of a pup the right fit for your home? APPLY to adopt her at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Oreo is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN. Oreo's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. She is microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She will be spayed when fully recovered from her puppies: likely in June. The cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Story
Hi, my name is Odessa and I am from Alabama! I am a very sweet girl with a lowkey personality. I love sniffing around outside and I’m good on a leash, but not in a hurry. I enjoy meeting everyone, including kids and dogs. I like sleeping in bed with my foster parents and they’re happy because I don’t move around much and I stay at the bottom of the bed. I would like to be in the same room as you, but I don’t need your constant affection. I’m comfortable getting my ears cleaned once a week and don’t mind if you pick me up. One of my best features is that I’m completely house trained. Also I hardly ever bark, although when you leave me home alone I need the TV on to keep me company. Otherwise I’ll feel lonely and I will howl to make this known. My foster parents think I’m really easy to have around! From the vet: I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! I need a temp foster from June 19 - 28 (I have knee surgery on June 24). Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi, my name is DeeDee. I am from Alabama. From the foster: DeeDee is very shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. It does take time, so she is looking for someone who is patient and able to help her decompress gradually. She is comfortable with just a few (1-2) steps down from the house—she’s still building confidence with full flights of stairs, and her future family can help her continue that journey at her own pace. She walks nicely on a leash and is learning to be brave when big trucks rumble by. She is great with cats and dogs. She likes gentle pets and belly rubs. Sweet, gentle, and incredibly easy to have around, DeeDee is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. From the Vet: DeeDee has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and she is finally ready for the remaining steps of her medical journey, namely, orthopedic surgery to repair bilateral ACL injuries. She had her first complete on 4/22 and will have her second done on 6/24 after which she will need about 6 weeks of activity restriction and mild physical therapy. After all is said and done, DeeDee will have spent the better part of 6 months being at a less than normal activity level. This means she would benefit from being in a home that can focus on a good weight loss/maintenance plan and slow return to peak physical fitness. With her arthritis and recent orthopedic surgery, she won't be an athlete anytime soon, but the hope would be to make sure she can remain lean and comfortable for many years!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Every day, Judd is making incredible progress learning how to “just be a dog.” After spending the first six years of his life at Ridglan Farm in a small metal crate, he had very little experience with the outside world. Since coming into rescue, he has truly blossomed. From taking the lead on walks, greeting new people, discovering his beagle voice, enjoying baths and car rides, and becoming a friend to other fosters, Judd continues to surprise everyone. He is finally learning to enjoy life. Judd loves neck and ear scratches, naps on the softest blankets, and exploring all the smells the world has to offer — very fitting for a beagle! He’s also discovered how delicious pig ears and other treats can be. He has been making great progress with potty training as well. He has met cats and dogs of all sizes and has done wonderfully. He happily wags his tail and runs over to greet his new pals. As expected, Judd can still be a little timid and shy at first, but with patience and a gentle approach, he warms up quickly. Walks are one of Judd’s favorite things, and he usually likes to lead the way, though he’s happy to follow too. When he gets excited, he’ll get the zoomies, bark, and seem to say, “Come get me!”  Judd has even joined his foster mom at work, where he greets friendly visitors and then settles in for naps on his cozy blanket while she works. Judd will need a patient adopter who can continue helping him adjust to normal life, but he is eager to keep learning, growing, and enjoying every new experience along the way.  If you would like to learn more about this dog, please submit an interest form on our website:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  Judd has been fully vetted appropriate for age: neutered , rabies vaccine, DHLPP vaccine, 4DX test negative, fecal test, CBC bloodwork, microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 8:14 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   *Foster Home Needed* Poor Wren has gone through some big challenges in life. She was adopted as a puppy and has lived with another dog. Earlier in life she needed 2 acl surgeries (right and left leg), then more recently developed optic neuritis, which has caused her blindness. Blindness has caused Wren to be more reactive, aggressive and her owners have a new baby, so they feel like it is not safe to keep her.  We are looking for a foster home or adoptive home for Wren. They are recommending no other dogs or children. If you have experience with dog vulnerability, reactivity and are sympathetic to her cause, please let us know. Wren is 9 years old and about 35 lbs.  If you would like to learn more about Wren, please submit an interest form on our website:    https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 8:14 am
