I am about 1 year old 35 lbs. I was found as a stray with some spray paint on my head. It has faded.... Even though people have not been the nicest to me, I am great with people/kids and dogs. I am pretty calm for my age but I am a puppy - so I do like to play. I am fostered with kids, cats, and dogs. I am as sweet as they come and a great size! I love to cuddle and I love kids. I ignore the cats in my foster home. I am fine with dogs, even tiny ones! I am a pretty easy pup to have around. I am good in a crate and go potty outside. Prior to adoption I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. I am Ace. I am from Missouri. From the foster: Oh hey there, I'm Ace. I must have just woken up from a nap in my favorite place in the apartment: my crate. While it may look like I'm in a mood, I actually can't wait to see you and receive all of your scratches and pets! In fact, I love all forms of attention, whether that be from humans, cats, or dogs! It takes me awhile to get comfortable settling into a new home, but once I do, I have so much love to give. A few things I don't love are thunderstorms, loud noises, and those scary doors. This makes taking me outside to work on house training a bit challenging as I need doors to be opened a few feet ahead of me before I feel comfortable walking through them. For this reason, I would prefer a yard to play in that only takes one door to get through. I've recently discovered this really cool thing my fosters call a couch! It's so soft and comfortable! I hope someday I can cozy up on this cool invention in my fur-ever home! Ideally, a fur-ever home for Ace would have a fenced in yard for him to play and a dog friend to play with.

Hi! My name is Samaya and I am from Kentucky. From the foster: Samaya is a real sweatheart and the cutest puppy ever. She has a friendly and enthusiastic personality and loves to meet new people and other dogs. Please remember she is a puppy and likes to chew and nip as she's teething as well as jump and get the zoomies but is learning more everyday. For this reason I don't recommend small children for her. When she's mellow, she's really mellow and so cuddly and sweet. She's doing well with leash walking and has no problem riding in a car. She would do best with someone who understands puppies needs and/or is willing to take a Puppy training class. She rarely barks except at brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners and if she's unhappy in her crate. We've been working on crate training and she's liking her crate more and more but does get a bit anxious if left alone in the crate so will need someone who can work with her on this. House training is going well and she understands "go potty" but still has a little way to go. With a good schedule she should do fine.

I am Mattie Mae. I am from Arkansas. From the Foster: She has really come out of her shell these past few days. She's found her bark-mainly when she wants to get out of her crate and sometimes when she's playing with Lucy. She has the tiniest little woof when she's watching people outside. While she is doing just fine on a tie out, she would really thrive in a home with a fenced in yard because she loves to be outside (although left to her own devices, she may be a little mischievous.) Her potty training is on its way, she's doing good on 'sit' (stay and down are a work in progress.) She has figured out she does like treats. She's eating a full cup, twice a day. She will watch tv occasionally (not even if it's animals-she watched football for a bit) and she likes to watch my husband's phone as well when he's playing a game or watching something. She is a persistent chewer, so kong-type toys are the only survivors (sorry Lucy,) but Mattie does love squishy and plushy dog toys-even if they only last 10 minutes, lol.

I am Messi. I am from Arkansas. From the foster: Messi is very sweet and very smart! It's been a pleasure to work with her this past week. She's learned not to be afraid of cars, to walk on a leash in the city, to chase a ball, to ride in the car and stay in her seat, to go to the dog park (and to leave willingly), and so much more. She came to me extremely sheltered, but her curiosity and smarts have really led her start enjoying the world. She's still a puppy and has yet to learn how to potty outside. She's crate and pad trained, and working on going outside - we've had a few triumphs at the dog park! She's very quiet, a little submissive and unsure about a lot of things - but loving and playful. She LOVES people and other dogs, and would do best with another dog friend, and a fenced yard to show to her how it's done. She's a pleasure to be around! Messi needs firm, consistent direction and communication - she responds really quickly to this. Once she gets the basics down, she could really excel in the tricks department. When she knows what to do, she really listens, and responds quickly. She also LOVES other dogs, she's very playful, and loves to run at the High Bridge dog park, in Saint Paul. Having another dog and a fenced yard will go a long way in getting her away from the potty pads.
