Plum is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pit mix and a bright, affectionate dog with tons of potential. At 42 pounds, she's the best cuddlebug with her sincere love of blankets. If you hold one open, she’ll burrow right underneath for cozy snuggles!She’s house-trained, crate-trained for bedtime, and incredibly smart. Honestly, she might just be the future valedictorian of obedience school! Plum is very tuned in to her humans and loves learning what you want from her. She will require a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) due to her noise level.This sweet girl has a playful, puppy-like energy and thrives when she has outlets like training sessions and playtime. She loves a good bouncy ball (especially tossing it for herself!) and will happily show off her “sit” and “down.” She doesn't have much experience when making new friends. She has mixed reactions with other dogs, and she does not have experience with cats or with children.Plum is still working on building confidence, so she will need adopters who are patient and willing to continue her training. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story

Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
