He’s energetic and playful, especially in the yard, where he loves running around with his foster brother and sister. Despite all his energy, he’s also incredibly cuddly and loves to curl up once he’s gotten his zoomies out. He absolutely loves his Kongs and will happily keep himself entertained with them. He has been great with everyone in the house. He does well with kids and the couple of cats he has met. He eats very well and is extremely treat-motivated, which has made training easier. He’s already picking up basic manners and loves learning new things. He sleeps through the night without issues and has been doing really well in his crate; he settles down quickly. Overall, he has adapted beautifully and is showing all the signs of being a wonderful companion. He’s affectionate, smart, social, and ready to thrive in a loving forever home.

Hi, my name is Maggie Mae. I am from Tennessee. From her foster: Maggie Mae is sweet and cuddly. She loves walks and naps and belly rubs. She is fully housetrained and so far does well in the crate. She also has done just fine for short stretches alone without being crated, and she walks ok on leash. She’s working on not weaving/pulling. She isn't strongly food motivated, but she is highly motivated by praise and head scratches. She is working on basic commands and learning quickly! Maggie Mae is working on not jumping when she is excited. Maggie Mae does bark and sometimes growl when someone comes up to the door and when someone comes into the home. She loves meeting people outside or in neutral spaces. So far she has interacted well with other dogs. She hasn't met any cats. She hasn't met children but her foster parents think that she would do well with older kids.
