Story
COZY is a fantastic dog who is being cared for by one of our trusted rescue partners. COZY is NOT a Woof River dog. To apply for COZY please download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to John at jhayesp@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. Meet Cozy! 🐾 True to her name, Cozy is the queen of comfort and a master at settling right in. This easygoing girl lives for the simple joys in life—lounging in the sun, car rides with the windows down, and soaking up belly rubs like they’re her favorite treat (they might be!). Cozy is a mellow, low-energy companion who’s perfectly content hanging out at home. But don’t let her laid-back vibe fool you—when it’s mealtime, she’ll let you know with a happy bay and bark, just to make sure you didn’t forget! She loves the company of other dogs and plays beautifully with her canine pals. Cozy is also crate-trained and does well when her foster dad is away. She’s still learning the ropes of leash walking, so a little patience and guidance will go a long way. If you’re looking for a sweet, sun-loving, snuggle-ready pup who brings calm and joy to every day, Cozy might just be your perfect match. ❤️ To see even more pictures COZY copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/06c7op1a877zsbexiebqy/APX5izSggI18u7BiPWff1xE?rlkey=04fo75w3ae4nfqv8v1aaqihmh&st=95g457ay&dl=0 COZY is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Her $540 adoption fee covers her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the midwest. For an adoption application on COZY click here Please email the completed application to jhayesp@gmail.com. She will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. Like all of Woof River's dogs, COZY will be beginning her journey in Memphis, Tennessee where she will remain until adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Theodore Nott is a playful, energetic puppy who’s eager to learn and even more eager to love. He’s full of bouncy puppy enthusiasm and is always ready for a wrestling match with a canine friend or a romp with a squeaky toy. He’s smart, sweet, and picks up on routines quickly—already making great progress on crate training, basic commands, and potty habits. Theodore is still figuring out leash walking and does best in a fenced yard for now. He’s curious and social with other dogs, and while he hasn’t met cats or kids, he’s open-hearted and learning every day. When playtime winds down, Theodore transforms into a snuggly sweetheart who loves to curl up near his favorite human. He’s a lovable pup with a bright future and a lot of love to give. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Age: 3 years Dog friendly: Yes, needs another dog in her forever home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Very close! Crate trained: Yes *PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD REQUIRED IN HOME* She is a huge, huge love bug and is getting braver every day. She is the most joyful pup and does spins when it is dinner time. Liz Lemon loves being outside and is much more comfortable outside than inside. She loves kids-more so than any other dog I've met. My guess is that she was an outside dog and only the children were nice to her. She has some hand shyness and spooks at sudden sounds and large hand movements. She does best if we sit down and let her come to us- and she'll climb right in the lap then. We are working on potty training- she will always go potty when we take her out, but we have to watch her closely inside. She's learned how to use the dog door, but she doesn't always take advantage of that. She has no issues in the crate. She loves other dogs and loves to meet new people on our walks. She walks really well on the leash. She does great in the car and does great with cats. She's learning basic skills and knows "sit."

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     *FOSTER HOME NEEDED* Chloe (2.5yo, 43lb) is a beagle mix (maybe with Bassett? Or Spaniel?) with a bright personality and a heart full of love. Weighing about 45 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—young enough to keep up on adventures, but mature enough to settle in at home. Chloe is potty trained, crate trained, and knows how to be a polite houseguest. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine playmate, but she’d also thrive as your one-and-only. We’re not sure how she is with cats, but she doesn’t show signs of a strong prey drive. Unlike some more reserved pups, Chloe brings a quiet confidence wherever she goes. She adapts quickly, loves being part of the action, and is always ready for her next belly rub or walk. Chloe is looking for a new home through no fault of her own (previous owner had to move into assisted living). She’s a wonderful blend of affectionate, smart, and steady—ready to be your best friend for years to come. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     *FOSTER HOME NEEDED* Ella (5.5yo, 38lb) is a beagle mix with a gentle soul and an easygoing nature. She’s the perfect medium-sized companion for someone looking for a calm, loving dog who’s already past the puppy stage. This lovely girl is crate trained, potty trained, and has great house manners. She gets along well with other dogs and would do great with a canine buddy to help her stay brave in new situations. While we’re not sure how she does with cats, she doesn’t seem to have a strong prey drive. Ella is looking for a fresh start through no fault of her own (owner sadly had to move to assisted living), and she’s ready to bring comfort, companionship, and tail wags to her new home. If you're looking for a loyal friend with a kind heart and a sweet face, Ella might just be your perfect match.
