Story
Mollie is fostered in Novi, Michigan.   Searching for a Professional Cuddler? Meet our Mollie Moo Cow!  Do you have a couch that needs more dog hair and a heart that needs more love? Mollie is a 2-year-old, 30 lb love bug who will guarantee to make you laugh every darn day. Her foster mom says she is the "goofiest girl" and once you meet her, we're positive you will agree. Mollie loves to make people smile! Mollie is still learning that the world isn’t a scary place, so she can be a bit shy at first.  Once she trusts you, she is THE MOST affectionate girl who will be by your side 24/7.   What Mollie loves: Walks! Mollie has excellent leash manners and isready to be your walking partner. Other Dog Friends: Mollie get along great with other pups! She does best with others who will take things slowly, but once she opens up, bring on the wrestling matches! Other Animals: Mollie has not been cat tested, but she loves to chase those pesky squirrels. Meaning kitty friends might have to take matters into their own paws! Tricks: Mollie knows sit, down, and shake. She has been working really hard on wait ad leave it! Her foster mom taughter her how to ignore distractions on our walks, which is crucial.  Mollie is a sucker for a treat (cheese is her weakness)! Because she is still building confidence, she would do best in a calmer home without small children. She would do best with an adopter who will provide the patience to help her overcome her fears.  In return, she will give you her whole heart!  Mollie needs: An adoptive home that is ready to continue the wonderful work that her foster home has already began.  Someone who has herding breed experience.  We would highly recommend a physically fenced yard. Submissive dog(s) if there are other dogs in the home.  She does not care for "pushy" dogs and it would cause her to lose confidence in other dogs. Another dog is NOT required in her adoptive home, but please see notes about personality required for other dogs in the home.  Mollie is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current and prior pets is required to adopt from our rescue.   NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2588320##

Basic Information Other Female 2 years old 40 lbs. Brown eyes Black-White-White fur coat Important Notes About Morticia Possibly good with dogs and cats Good with kids over 10 years old High energy level Special Training If adopted, Morticia will come with a six session training package to successfully transition to home life. More Info Hello, my name is Morticia, and I am a young mixed breed looking for a new best friend! I am believed to be part cattle dog because of my medium size and exuberant personality. I was surrendered because I tried to herd people at my previous home, so I need someone who can give me an outlet for my energy. I am eager to please and happy to work—just give me something to do! While I have some issues getting along with children and small animals, I get along really well with other dogs. I thrive in an environment where I can engage in activities that challenge my mind and body, whether it's learning new tricks, playing fetch, or going on long walks. I have a strong desire to bond with my human companions and show my love through enthusiastic kisses. I may want you all to myself, but with some guidance, I can learn how to share my affection. If you’re looking for a devoted and energetic companion who will fill your days with joy, we’re a match made in heaven!
