You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Aggie is a joyful, wiggly girl who will make you feel like the most important person in the world. With her always-wagging tail and eager-to-please personality, she’s your personal fan girl, ready to shower you with love and excitement. This sweet, fast little rocket could thrive in dog sports like fast CAT or agility but has a medium energy level—ready for play and exploration, then happy to settle as a couch hippo when it’s time to relax. Dog-friendly and a bit goofy around awkward pups, Aggie enjoys playing with her foster sisters and boyfriends, like Toby and the neighbor’s dogs. She’s making great progress on potty training and house manners, proving her intelligence and adaptability. Whether you’re looking for a yardwork buddy, a loyal companion, or a dog with the potential to earn ribbons, Aggie might be the perfect fit for your family. Story
Meet Larry,a sweet and lovable boy who is ready to find his forever home! This charming 2–3-year-old, 50lb Boxer-Hound mix is a laid-back, easygoing pup with a heart full of affection. Larry gets along with everyone including kids and other dogs, making him a perfect addition to a home with furry (and human) friends. He’s also great on a leash, so walks are a breeze for this good boy. Larry’s personality shines with his loving, puppy-like nature. He’s always ready to show affection and enjoys being around people—so much so that he accompanies his foster mom to work fitting right in with the office routine. With his calm, intuitive presence, he could easily be considered a service dog, even without the official certification. During a recent visit to the orthopedist, it was discovered that Larry had previously been shot—an old injury that went undiagnosed until now. He needs to wear a boot on his left rear leg to support mobility and make it more comfortable for him to walk. Despite this, he remains resilient, gentle, and full of love   Neutered and up to date on vaccines, Larry is all set for his next big adventure. This sweet boy made his way from Kentucky to New Jersey back in March and is now looking forward to a home where he can settle down for good   If you’re ready to open your heart to a big, gentle lovebug like Larry, apply for adoption today at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application. You won’t regret welcoming this adorable, loyal companion into your life!  If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Hi there! I’m Willa! I’m a sweet and playful 3-4-year-old boxer mix, weighing in at a lovable 60 pounds.  I’m super, super friendly, and I love playing with other dogs, but would probably do best in a home as the only pup. I was patiently waiting at a shelter in Tennessee, but it’s gotten crowded because of all the dogs displaced by Hurricane Helene. I came in a stray, and nobody has come for me, so now I'm thrilled that I was lucky enough to come to NJ and find you! I am currently living with a foster family with older kids and I love them, but its not a forever kind of thing and I'm still on the hunt for my fur-ever. I'm looking for a very patient and low energy quiet home, as I can sometime get anxious (especially when being outside with new and loud noises - I'm still learning the ropes!) I'd also thrive in a home with a yard to run free in but prefer to hang inside mostly. I recently learned how fun toys and balls can be. And then there's the nightly couch cuddle I can't resist. I do great in the crate when my family is not home and at night. I also know some basic manners like sit, paw and leave it. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a new best friend, please consider adopting me. When you bring me home, you’ll also make space for other dogs who are still waiting for help. You can apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application. I can’t wait to meet you! Let’s make room for more friends in need.If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
This adorable 11-month-old girl has been through quite the journey, but her spirit is as strong as ever! Found running down a highway in NY, Bronx's little paws were sore with road rash, and she was missing fur on her legs. She was underweight too, but despite it all, her sweet and happy personality never wavered. Now safe in foster care, this goofy girl is getting the love and care she needs to heal. She’s thriving in a home environment, soaking up affection and playing with her foster siblings (both dogs and cats!). She’s ready for her forever family and is looking for a home where she can continue to be the happy, playful pup she’s meant to be. If you’re ready to give this sweet survivor the love and comfort she deserves, she’s ready to bring endless joy and tail wags into your life! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Meet Mama Mae! She is a very sweet 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who weighs about 60 lbs. Mae was found wandering in a nice neighborhood in Nashville. Miss Candi discovered her and her companion, Hershey, in the middle of the street, heading toward a busy four-lane road. She and her neighbor quickly took action and, before they knew it, both Mae and Hershey were safely in her backyard. Since no one responded to the lost and found posting, Miss Candi reached out to Critter Cavalry for assistance. Mae was named Mama Mae because her body was still recovering from delivering puppies several months ago. Mae is a healthy girl in excellent condition, so the vet spayed her. She is now fully vetted and ready to find her forever home. Mae has replaced mothering her puppies with her toys. She gently carries them around and usually ends up with all the toys. Mae is a sweet and loving girl who is great with other dogs and loves people. It may take her a little time to warm up, but once she knows you are okay, you’ll have a friend for life. Mae has made a special place in her foster dad's heart and has quickly become his favorite. She is active and loves to walk. Running or hiking would also help her regain her 'girlish' figure. Mae, just like her friend Hershey, is an accomplished escape artist and needs a securely fenced yard. It's also a good idea to keep a watchful eye on her when she is in the yard. We recommend using a harness when walking or running with her and a name tag for quick identification. If you have admired this wonderful breed from afar and have considered adding one to your family, you can rest assured that Mae would be a fantastic match. With an active family, a fenced yard, and lots of love and guidance, Mae will be the angel you’ve been looking for. To be considered for Mae's forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (Mae is in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)tion.)   July 10, 2025, 5:13 pm

Story
Meet Bimbi – Your Loyal, Lovable Companion in the Making   Bimbi is a stunning, 3-year-old spayed beauty weighing in at around 40 pounds. With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. It’s been a while since she’s gotten to feel the wind in her fur, and she misses it deeply.  Bimbi is ready to trade her kennel days for couch cuddles, backyard exploring, movie nights, and being your loyal shadow. She doesn’t think cats make good roommates, so a cat-free home is a must.   If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, who’s ready to learn, ready to play, and even more ready to belong—Bimbi is your girl. Come meet her. She’s been waiting for you.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 26, 2025, 11:59 pm

Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2025, 9:41 pm
