Story
Hi there! I’m Willa! I’m a sweet and playful 3-4-year-old boxer mix, weighing in at a lovable 60 pounds.  I’m super, super friendly, and I love playing with other dogs, but would probably do best in a home as the only pup. I was patiently waiting at a shelter in Tennessee, but it’s gotten crowded because of all the dogs displaced by Hurricane Helene. I came in a stray, and nobody has come for me, so now I'm thrilled that I was lucky enough to come to NJ and find you! I am currently living with a foster family with older kids and I love them, but its not a forever kind of thing and I'm still on the hunt for my fur-ever. I'm looking for a very patient and low energy quiet home, as I can sometime get anxious (especially when being outside with new and loud noises - I'm still learning the ropes!) I'd also thrive in a home with a yard to run free in but prefer to hang inside mostly. I recently learned how fun toys and balls can be. And then there's the nightly couch cuddle I can't resist. I do great in the crate when my family is not home and at night. I also know some basic manners like sit, paw and leave it. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a new best friend, please consider adopting me. When you bring me home, you’ll also make space for other dogs who are still waiting for help. You can apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application. I can’t wait to meet you! Let’s make room for more friends in need.If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
This adorable 11-month-old girl has been through quite the journey, but her spirit is as strong as ever! Found running down a highway in NY, Bronx's little paws were sore with road rash, and she was missing fur on her legs. She was underweight too, but despite it all, her sweet and happy personality never wavered. Now safe in foster care, this goofy girl is getting the love and care she needs to heal. She’s thriving in a home environment, soaking up affection and playing with her foster siblings (both dogs and cats!). She’s ready for her forever family and is looking for a home where she can continue to be the happy, playful pup she’s meant to be. If you’re ready to give this sweet survivor the love and comfort she deserves, she’s ready to bring endless joy and tail wags into your life! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
This cutie named Wendell is about 4 years old and ready to move on to bigger and better things. This sweet boy was originally found as a stray but somehow no one came to claim him after almost a year. Peace4Paws saw what a special boy he was and stepped in to find him a home. At the shelter, he was a favorite making lots of friends both human and canine alike.  Wendell is incredibly dog friendly and would get along great with another dog in the home, however a low traffic household with older kids/teens (if any) would be best. His favorite pastimes are receiving massages, walks and just sitting in the shade to beat the heat. This already neutered and 40lb boy is so ready to find a love of his own. To apply to adopt Wendell, go to www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application from a computer or laptop. Together let's give Wendell the life he's always dreamed of.If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG!
