We are empty nesters hoping to travel and do things that Sparty’s anxiety makes difficult, as finding a specialized pet sitter for him has become a significant challenge. He has a ton of love to give, but he needs a specific environment to thrive.The Quick Facts:Age: 7 years oldHealth: Up to date on all vaccinations.Diet: Requires a special gastritis diet (food is easily purchased on Chewy).Medication: Takes daily Prozac to help manage his anxiety.His Personality:Sparty is sensitive, a bit anxious, and incredibly affectionate. His absolute favorite thing is to curl up and sleep right next to you in bed. Behavioral Needs & History:Because we want to be completely transparent for his safety and yours, Sparty does have resource guarding tendencies. He was resource guarding & bit my husband. Citrus was living alone in an abandoned house with no doors or windows. We trapped her, and she got very upset. Citrus was growling for many many days, and did not allow any handling. She finally came around to trust us, and is now a loving sweetheart. Citrus wants an understanding foster-to-adopt home, who wants to baby her. She is estimated to be 2-4 years old, and a mix between English Bulldog and Boxer. Citrus has a classic cautious and disapproving yet personable English Bulldog personality, and the silly play style of a Boxer. We are looking for a household without children for Citrus. Leashed walks are fine, she does not require a fenced in yard. Citrus has dog friends at the shelter - but incorporating her into a home dynamic with other dogs will take weeks.
