Story
Hi! I'm Brownie. I am from Arkansas. From the foster: Brownie is an adorable, sweet and goofy girl who loves everyone she meets and loves giving kisses!!! She has the most irresistible face and beautiful eyes. This girl is incredibly happy, playful and gets along well with both humans and animals. Brownie loves to be close to her humans and any animal friends around. She is happy lounging anywhere and listens when told to get down from furniture if needed. Her energy level is higher with a doggy friend around. She loves our resident dog very much!!! Brownie is crate trained and house trained. She will need additional work with leash training. Since she is somewhat of a puppy and still learning, Brownie sometimes forgets about personal space. She gets extremely excited when seeing her people or meeting others. Sometimes she forgets her manners and will jump up to greet you. She listens when gently and firmly told "down. Consistent reminders and positive reinforcement are working well with her in this regard. She has a great foundation of basic commands mastered (sit, stay, come, lay down), loves to shake your hand, and loves to play fetch outside!!! LOVES toys of any kind, especially if they squeak. She loves chew toys and they keep her busy. When Brownie first arrived, she was a little fearful of my husband. Her fear improved daily and within less than a week, this completely turned around. Brownie now seeks him out for attention, play and loves to lay by his feet. They are besties!!! Occasionally when extremely excited or scared her emotions may get a little overwhelming, causing her to sometimes piddle. This has specifically been related to adjusting to our home and meeting new people for the first time. She has not had any accidents and will let you know when she needs to go outside. In the beginning when everything was scary and new, she cried for a bit when we put her to bed at night in the crate but would then settle down. Brownie now sleeps through the night in her crate without issues. Brownie loves to please people and is very smart. This sweet girl radiates happiness! Her goofy personality is infectious. She has so much love to give and would do amazing with a family of her very own.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Hi I'm Ladd!  If you've stopped to read my bio then you must have seen how absolutely gorgeous I am!  Well I must tell you that's just the beginning of how awesome I am!  I'm an outgoing boy who is always ready to go on any adventure and meet new people, aka new best friends!  My tail wags for everyone so they can't help but come over and give me pets and scratches.  I'm great in the car by the way and I'll jump in myself and sit or lay in the back while we travel.  I'm a smart boy and I know how to sit when Mom tells me to.  I'll gently accept a treat, but I'm also perfectly happy to just get praise.  Who doesn't want to hear they're a good boy am I right?  I enjoy playing with my doggie friends big or small, but I'd be just as happy being your only baby.  I hope you are ready to spoil me with toys because I think they're pretty fun too!  I'm good on leash, kennel and potty trained.  I think I'm quite the catch so why don't we meet up and I think you'll agree! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.   ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.   FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.   NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.   YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Come to Fat Pants Brewing (38335 Crystal View Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344) for the kickoff of our Annual Fundraiser & Adoption Event on Sunday Oct 8th from 12:00 - 2:00 pm . Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi I'm Sable!  If you're looking for a sweet gentle lady then I'm the girl for you!  I'm a pretty calm girl who gets along with everyone I meet from all people to all sizes of dogs. I always have a friendly tail wag so everyone will know I just wanna be their friend. I love getting my ears scratched and just hanging around with my foster mama.  I'll follow her around in case she needs me, but otherwise I can be found napping on the floor where I can keep an eye on everything in case I'm needed.  When my mom brushes me I sit quietly and patiently.  Since she's usually on the floor at my level I'm all for giving little kisses and booping her with my nose.  She laughs and kisses me back and gives me a big hug.  I just smile and wag my tail with love right back!  I walk like a lady on leash and I'm kennel and potty trained.  When it comes to treats I'm very gentle taking them.  The weather is getting cooler and I think I'd be the perfect addition to snuggle with for the rest of our lives together! Story
Kylie is a super sweet, friendly girl. She loves other dogs and loves to play with them. She enjoys going outside and is doing very well at housetraining. She's only been in her foster home a few days and has only had a couple accidents. She's a leaner and likes to lean into her person or lay next to you on the couch. Kylie is currently 1 year old and weighs about 23 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. We can only place animals in homes within a 100 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Bachman's: 10050 6th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55441 on Saturday, October 7, from 11am-1pm. https://www.facebook.com/events/979798166564039 Animal attendance is subject to change based on their availability. Please check our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ for confirmed attendance, one day prior to each event.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee: $400 plus taxMeet Marigold,This girl struggled when she first came to MARS in many ways, she had dew claw removal surgery prior to coming to us and opened both of them up, so she was on strick eercise restrictions for 3+ weeks.  She made it through that like a champ, but realized she was bored out of her mind, so got a bit hyper.  She was then taken through 4 different foster homes, all with varying issues of behavior due to her boredom and inability to communicate with her people or them with her.She has since been at a board and train for 3 weeks to learn all things she needed to succeed, so now we are looking for a foster to continue her training and work with the trainer. She is an amazing girl and has learned so much in the last three weeks.  She understands focus, that she is not in charge and theat a structured life is wonderful.Who is ready to help this girl continue to shine and be the most wonderful girl in the world?House trainedCrate TrainedMannersloves puppiesWalking well on leash Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
