Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Bannon.  I was born somewhere around Christmas in 2020, am a Collie/Shepherd mix, and weigh about 40lbs. Another interesting fact about me is I weaned 11 puppies!   My foster family includes two teenagers and 2 big dogs. I do fine with most dogs, however I do need slow introductions because I get nervous in new situations. Probably no dog parks for me anytime soon.  I am not good with cats, or small dogs.  I have a small prey drive.    I am working on walking on a leash, but my preference is a large fenced back yard. I need exercise, so please plan to take me on long walks/runs or a good playtime in the backyard a couple times a day.     I have a few things that I am working on. One is I'm mouthy with people. I'm not trying to bite you, but my excitement overtakes me sometimes. My foster family is working on me getting a stuffie when I start to go over threshold. So, having a lot of toys around for me is important to keep on this training. I also am jumpy. So, probably no small kiddos for me. Both behaviors are common in younger dogs and tend to subside with constant training     I am crate trained when my people are home so if I truly need a break, that is a safe place for me to rest. When you are away, I am not a huge fan of the crate but have not ever broken out of it. I do bark a little in the crate, especially when I know you are home.     The biggest consideration a potential adopter for me should have is my boundless energy. Being a running partner would be a dream come true for me. Otherwise, a fenced in yard where I can endlessly play fetch would be wonderful. I'm also very smart, so if you're looking for a dog to impressively train or teach a job to, I'm your gal! NOTE: Bannon tested positive for Lymes Disease. This is a tick borne illness that is relatively common in dogs who live in states where ticks are more prevalent. Most dogs live their whole lives with no issues or flare ups caused by these diseases. It is important that Bannon's adopters know what symptoms to watch for when a flare-up occurs so she can be put on meds to keep it at bay. The treatment for this is a 30 day course of Doxycycline, a relatively inexpensive antibiotic. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? Story
Location: Prior Lake, MN Furry best friend alert! I would love to be your loyal companion. I am mid-to-low energy 1.5 y/o puppy that will be so happy to just lay around in the same room as you. I will also be thrilled to see you every time you get home! If work during the day, that is just fine with me! I'm very content to nap on a doggy bed when you are gone; no table surfing for me! I AM a dog, so of course I enjoy walks and getting outside! But I don't NEED a fence if you'll bring me for a walk most days. Oh and my foster mom says to share that I am fully potty trained. I haven't had ANY accidents at my foster's house! I am currently the only dog in the home, but I have lived with other dogs. Like all fosters pups, slow intros to others are probably best. I do especially well with children 9 & up. (Lots of movement from the smaller youngsters, especially if it's above me, makes me a tad nervous.) I should probably mention the only time I really bark is when the TV is on. I don't love the TV right now. My foster family laughs about it and they are working on it. I'm making slow progress. If you are looking for a content dog that is happy to just be loved by their owner, I'm your girl! I have so much love to give a single person, couple, or family; I'm not picky! Please consider me for adoption. Thank you! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Buffalo, MN Lola is an absolute gem of a pup. She is a love bug that adores kids, all adults, dogs, and maybe a cat (if they would allow it). Right now she is living with a 7 year old dog & two cats. She is mostly house trained with only a couple random accidents. She loves riding in the car, and is still learning to walk on a leash. She is such a fast learner, so no doubt she'll catch on quickly! She willingly goes into her kennel to snooze all night long. She has lots of energy when she's around other dogs, and has some serious feisty speed! But then will crash hard for all the cuddles and belly rubs after. She would do well with another dog that is patient or likes to play a lot or as an only dog. Lola is a quick learner and has started catching onto basic commands. She is looking for a house full of toys to chew on, and someone to adore her! ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bear is an adventure-ready companion with a heart of gold. He loves to be out in nature, going for hikes, and trying to chase whatever critters cross his path. Whatever you choose for your day, he is there for it.  Take a look at this cute video of Bear  playing. Bear loves his people and is excited for whatever the day has in store. Even if that is a walk followed by a day on the couch with a book. Snuggling and snoozing are also on his top ten list. Bear kennels quickly and quietly, is never destructive, and is quick to pick up new cues. He is ironing out some puppy-esque tendencies and, for this reason, is not recommended for apartment life or a home with cats, critters, or small children. Bear will need a patient and consistent guardian to help him grow his worldly confidence and strengthen his social skillset. There is so much Bear wants to do and experience. Are you the person who can help him shine? Bear is from a South Dakota reservation partner. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
