You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to Broken Clock Brewing & Celebrate "Clocktober Fest" (1712 Marshall St NE Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413) for an Adoption Event on Saturday September 21st, 2:00-4:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi there! I'm Rhys, a sweet and cuddly Great Pyr Mix. I'm a handsome boy, weighing in at 45 pounds and still a puppy, so I'm growing and learning every day! At home, I'm all about the cuddles. Whether it's on the couch, bed, your lap (even though I'm a bit big for that), or basking in a sunny spot, I'm happiest when I'm close to my humans. I'm also quite playful with other dogs – I love a good game of chase and splashing around in a kiddy pool. I might be a bit clumsy, but I've mastered the art of tucking and rolling when I tumble – hee hee! Belly rubs are my favorite, and I'm always ready to give you lots of kisses when you need them. I'm almost potty trained – just need to stick to a good schedule. I'm getting better with my crate, too. I might bark a bit at first, but I settle down quickly. I'm still working on my leash skills, but I go for daily walks and enjoy them. I know some basic commands like "sit" and "down." I'm great with other dogs of all sizes, and while I love having doggy friends, I could be happy as an only dog too, as long as I'm not left alone for long periods. In fact, I would thrive with other dogs in my forever home so hope you have some playmates for me. All in all, I'm a low-energy, affectionate pup looking for my forever home where I can continue to grow, learn, and share all my love. Could that be with you? *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    If you are looking for a dog with brains, beauty and brawn, I may be just the guy for you. It is obvious I am going to be a big boy, but I like to make myself as little as possible. That way I can fit in your lap, or in a cushy little dog bed. My foster moms tell me that my eyes make them melt, and makes it awfully hard to say no to me. I add to the cuteness factor by making one ear look broken…works every time. As I wait for my forever family to find me, I get to stay with dogs of all ages and sizes, and I love to play with them all. Sometimes I need to take breaks because I get too excited, but I would love to have a brother or sister that can help me build confidence, and respect my space when I say I am done playing for now. If you don’t have another pup, we could go on adventures together and. Heck out this new world. A puppy obedience class sounds SUPER fun and I know I’d learn a lot. Plus, I’m a fast learner and very motivated! I am a good boy when I go in my kennel, which I eat my meals in and take naps in. At night I sleep in a dog bed on the floor with my foster siblings. I have started sneaking into the bed and wrapping myself around my mom. I am looking for a family that likes me to play Velcro. I am doing really well with my potty training and get very restless when I need to go outside. Just my way of telling you “it’s time!” If you want a big, handsome, goofball in your life, let’s meet! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Story
Welcome Maizi to CCPAL Foster Program. Maizi is a 4-month-old Smooth Coated Collie/Australian Cattle dog and maybe some Pyrenees. She is about 30 pounds right now and should be 55 full grown. These pups are good with other dogs, good with kids, good in a crate and they love water. Marina is the most water dog one of this puppy litter. Dad looks like an Aussie and Border Collie and the mom looks like a Lab and Pyranees. These puppies are well cared for in their foster home. They have beautiful shiny coats and all of them are sweet and submissive. They are shy in new environments but they all warmed up quickly to affection. Maizi met all kinds of new people and she was supper sweet to everyone she met. She is not a big shedding pup and she has a gorgeous shiny coat. She would be great with an active outdoorsy family. She would love to be with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has all her vaccines and is taking heartworm and flea medication monthly. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Can a Collie get a break here?? Yes, we think I am a collie mix and what a handsome boy I am!! I did not look this handsome when I arrived at the rescue, but a DEDICATED foster took me in and nursed me back to health and (even though it will be hard for her), I am READY for my FUREVER HOME!!! I came from a plea at a local animal control facility- I had been attacked by three other dogs at the facility who broke into my kennel and mauled me pretty bad :( My foster mom saw the post and agreed to help, and HELP she DID!!! Even though not a medical foster, she learned ALL the things she had to do to help my body and my soul heal. My back end/sides were torn OPEN on each side, numerous bite marks and punctures and infection when she got me. I spent quite a bit of time at the rescue vet for debridement and treatment of the very serious infections and then she took me home and changed my dressings daily and then weekly and then no more dressings!! I am a very very sweet and cuddly boy. House/crate trained, great with other dogs and everyone I meet (except kitties- not a fan). I am a medium sized boy and I am ready for you!!! My ideal family will love and appreciate my survivor personality, my cuddly and happy temperament and will keep me safe from harm for as long as they are blessed to have me :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
This baby and her siblings were born under a porch by a stray and the land owners could not take care of them. We were told the mother was a cattle dog, dad a collie. Vixen is very outgoing and fun! She is not afraid to greet strangers and give love. She can be a bit of a talker but not too much... She is such a sweet girl and would do well in any household as long as she is given attention and time to play. She will need all the basic puppy training and leash work. She is just a joy to see and will make any family happy to add her to their home. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Finn is a darling 12 week old puppy looking for his forever home. He arrived from KY and never skipped a beat, making himself at home immediately  in his foster home with four other dogs. we are unsure on his breeding, but we are guessing he will stay on the smaller side. We are seeking a home with another dog for Finn.  Here’s what his foster has to say about Finn: “Finn is as confident as any pup I've ever owned or fostered. Pretty high energy, but loves to play with toys and balls, so pretty easy to direct the energy to positive things. He WILL go for shoes, furniture, etc, if not supervised appropriately, so he IS a typically puppy.  He has shown zero fears to noises, slippery floors, or other dogs. Can eat and chew things around other dogs, but if other dogs approach, he does get worried, which is no surprise due to his history. Easily manageable with supervision, and will likely improve once he realizes these things are readily available now.  Oh, and if you didn't notice, he has the absolute CUTEST head tilt!” Interested in adopting? Please complete an adoption interest application at   https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4003 Adoption fee: $450 if eventual neuter is done by your vet $650 if done by our vet. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: Spayed or Neutered Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine 4DX test (@12 months or older) Microchipped Dewormed Flea/tick prevention  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2024, 2:30 am

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo! My favorite thing to do is play fetch. If I have a ball then I'm super happy. I also like to explore new places and car rides for ice cream are pretty fun. I have quite a bit of energy and will let you know I am bored by shoving toys in your face. I also really enjoy cuddling and will curl up next to you on the couch anytime. I am a super sweet dog and I really love my people. I'm such a good boy that my foster family leaves me to have free range of the house while they're gone. I sleep with my foster mom and prefer it to a kennel but I am okay with either. I really hope to find my forever home with people that will love me as much as I love them! Camilo does have seasonal allergies and will occasionally need shots for it but is really easily managed. The biggest complication with him is he has some pretty severe people reactivity. He does amazing with us and is just fine with close friends and family that he has met many times. He doesn't like strangers to come in the house and is okay outside as long as people are far enough away. This is something we have been working on but he still has a good ways to go before he is able to be brought anywhere with people. This past winter he did just fine as less people are outside, however, with the nicer weather his reactivity became more apparent. He does just fine with most dogs, especially if they are smaller than him, and currently lives comfortably with another dog in the same space. He really is an amazing companion. He is super sweet and gentle when at home, just doesn't know how to manage his fears and needs some more extensive training.

Hi My name is Hail. From his foster:Hail is an exuberant happy puppy who is ready for adventure! He loves to be outside and play in the backyard and enjoys going on walks. He is working on walking nicely on the leash and not pulling. He is completely potty trained and does ask to go out when he needs to go potty. He is also is kennel trained and sleeps overnight in the kennel without complaining. Hail is very smart; food motivated and learns quickly. He is working on simple commands (sit, down, and coming when called) and doing well. He would be a great partner in anyone's life adventure!

Story
Hi there My name is Josie! Thank so much for stopping by! Let me introduce myself - my name is Josie! I came to Minnesota all the way from Arkansas...wherever that is! I am so excited to meet you and get to know each other. My foster family really enjoys having me around, so maybe you will too? I sure do love my people - I will never turn down an opportunity to get some belly rubs, ear scratches, and snuggles from my family. Here's some fun facts about me: I am not hypo-allergenic: I recently thought I had found my furever family, however, due no fault of my own, someone in the home had allergies and so I had to come back. Potty Trained: as long as I can get outside every couple of hours, I do great. I have never had an accident in my kennel. If I haven't been outside in a while and I get really excited about something, I will sometimes piddle on the floor. Crate Trained: I sleep in my kennel, I eat in my kennel. It's not such a bad place! I can be vocal if I really don't want to be in there, but usually quiet down within a matter of minutes. It really depends on my mood, I guess! I live with my resident sister, Winnie & my foster sister, Dottie! We love to romp around and play (& steal each other's toys!). I also have two human brothers (9 & 12) and we get along great too...I love people and other dogs so much. I'd love to show you what a good girl I am, so please come and meet me - I'd be a perfect addition to your family! From the Foster Mom: Josie really is the best girl! I'd consider her potty trained - she goes outside to run around the back yard every couple of hours and knows to go potty. She can be submissive, but what we've found is to make sure she's getting outside on a regular basis, which lessens her piddles on the floor. We have tried teaching her to use a bell, although she's never really caught on to it. Josie can be a little nervous around men. It is not all the time & it's not consistent. Her nervousness presents through barking at them. Slow introductions are the way to go! She really is a sweetheart and deserves a family who will love on her. She is young and playful and and loves to chew on toys
