Story
Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Meet Jambalaya! Looking for a "work-from-home" partner who knows how to party on the weekends? Jambalaya is your guy! This handsome, athletic pup is the perfect blend of smarts and snuggles. As a young pup, he’s already mastered the art of being a "good boy." The Highlights: Pro-Level Manners: Jambalaya is fully potty trained and already knows Sit, Shake, and Stay. He’s an A+ student! The Perfect Coworker: He does great hanging out quietly while I work, but he's always down for a game or a run with other dogs when it’s break time. Expert Sleeper: He’s a dream in his crate overnight, though he’s such a gentleman he’d likely do just fine free-roaming. Social & Sweet: He loves his people and being close to them. On walks, he’s a total pro—no barking at neighbors or other dogs! A Note on New Friends: > Jambalaya takes his "watchdog" duties a little seriously at first and will give a bark to announce guests. However, once he realizes they're friends, he calms down quickly and is ready for pets. If you’re looking for a smart, medium-energy companion who is ready to fit right into your routine, Jambalaya is your guy! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Handsome is a PERFECTLY named sweet guy who is already winning hearts everywhere he goes. He is gentle, friendly, adorable, good with everyone, total package! Handsome loves toys, enjoys playtime, and is just as happy curling up as a lap companion when it’s time to relax. He has an even-tempered, gentle personality that makes her a joy to be around. He will grow into a large dog when he is fully grown, so his future family should be ready for a big best friend. Story
Kong is from Texas. He was found there, in a ditch alongside a busy road, along with his brother. They were both taken into rescue after their stray hold was up, and were given age appropriate veterinary care and nutrition. They have both been thriving while in rescue, and now it's time for them to find homes of their own. Kong is a loving, affectionate pup. His texan foster family has a young girl that will hold him like a baby while she watches TV, and he loves every minute of it. He would absolutely adore a family with children to play and grow with. while kids would be a great bonus for kong, they are not a requirement for adoption in any way. Kong is not yet potty trained, but what young pup is? He has been working on his potty training skills with his texan foster family, and will need some patience and grace as he acclimates to his new family/schedule. Consistency is key in potty training and a consistent feeding/potty schedule will be key in him becoming fully potty trained. Kong has also begun crate training, and will sleep there soundly through the night as well as kennel up when his people are gone during the day. He has begun leash training, but will need to continually polish those manners. If you think Kong is the perfect pup for you, please fill out an adoption application today.. he can't wait to meet you! Hi, my name is Golem and I am from Alabama. From his foster: At three months, he’s already a shining star on walks. He does not pull at all, stays right by your side like he’s been doing this for years. He is also an A+ cuddler. He is a lover boy for sure. He has learned to take treats nicely. Golem (we call him Bruce at home) is still working on potty training. He will get there, I have no doubt about that. This little boy is excellent with other dogs. He does fabulously with his foster sister pups. He can be a loud guy once he gets to barking, but it’s not constant.

I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Cosmo, and I'm from Arkansas! Cosmo is a very smart little dude, who has the looks to match! He’s food motivated and learns quickly. He loves people, and will play all day and all night, but settles down easily in his crate for naps. He is great with kids, though he is a typical teething puppy and will try to chew everything, especially when he’s getting tired. He adapted quickly to the snow and is picking up on potty training really well. He ignores our resident cat and welcomes new people. He is very attuned to his people and picks up on their emotions. He’s lively, but also quite docile, loves snuggles and tummy rubs and anything bacon flavored. He’s is just waiting to be the best adventure buddy you’ve ever had.

Hi! My name is Cubby, and I'm from Arkansas! Cubby is an adorable little guy whose favorite pastime is sleeping on your lap. He’s the smallest of the litter with beautiful coloring and freckles throughout his fur. He is doing great at sleeping in the crate at night and voluntarily goes into his crate for naps and rest times as well. He is very, very social. Great with kids, grownups, cats (basically ignores them), and other dogs. Food motivated. Loves to romp and play between naps.
