Story
Hi! I'm Prissy. I'm from Alabama! From her foster; Prissy loves to give kisses. She is not much of a cuddler and hasn't shown any interest in hopping up on the couch or bed. She likes to play and would love a playmate. Prissy is mostly a quiet pup and has only recently started showing her voice, usually when she gets playful. She loves being outside where she can run freely, so a fenced yard would be her dream. Prissy is kennel-trained and potty-trained. She is still a puppy and likes to chew on shoes, so I would recommend keeping shoes out of her reach. We have been trying to redirect her with different toys, but she still prefers shoes if she can access them. While she will happily accept treats, she is not treat-motivated, as in she will eat if you give it to her directly, but she will not come to you for a treat, so training her may require a little extra work.

Story
Hi! I'm Holmes. I'm from Oklahoma! From his foster: Holmes is a sweet dog that loves to cuddle. He is playful and likes to play outside. He is very calm most of the time, however, and enjoys his sleep. He will sit and watch a movie with you or wait just outside the kitchen while you cook. He does not beg for food and doesn't seem overly motivated by food/treats. He is definitely the runt of the litter, but he has a great personality that will win the affection of just about anyone. He plays with his brother, and wanted to play with our cat (who wasn't interested herself) We are still working on potty training, and he is getting there just needs more consistency then we can provide. He is currently housed with his brother from the same litter. He is more shy and will wait for his brother before he starts to eat.

Or, how about these Collies in cities near Minnetonka, Minnesota

These Collies are available for adoption close to Minnetonka, Minnesota.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! I'm Rhys, everyone's favorite! I am a giant brindle dude but don't let my size fool you- I am a tiny teddy bear at heart. I absolutely love my humans but I am a boy so I like to wrestle with my brothers and tease my sisters too!   am learning all about living in a house and going potty on pads and outside. I am still a work in progress with potty training but I am super smart so I am sure I will get it in no time. I will need continued help with leash training and crate training in my forever home. I will be ready to go home to my forever family 3/5/24. I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, my name is Feyre , but my Foster Parents call me Fey!  I am a pretty Girl of about 70 lbs., just a little over a year old the Doctors say.   We do not know my exact lineage, but I am a mix of Husky, Lab Collie and Great Pyreness, we think, at least!   I was found in Arkansas with my litter of 11 Puppies, but was rescued and brought to Minnesota, and I absolutely belong in this climate! I have a heavy coat with a thick undercoat, so I am at home in, and love the snow!!   Not surprising with my heritage, I love to walk, and I can walk fast!   I enjoy meeting people and have zero problem meeting people or other dogs on my walks! My puppies are off to their forever homes, I got spayed, and now I am all healed and healthy, so I am ready to go to my forever home!   My Foster Parents have 2 smaller dogs and some cats, but they don’t bother me any and I don’t bother them! I only wish they were big enough to play with me!   I am still not much more than a Puppy myself, so I have lots of energy and can go as far and as long as you can, but my heritage also allows me to be happy laying outside, just chilling, keeping my eyes on everything, for hours at a time!   I have a voice, and can use it, but I don’t most of the time, as I don’t let much bother me.   I can jump like a Gazelle, so my ideal forever home will have a fenced back yard I can be free in!  If not, we can go on walks and have fun to get my exercise out together.   I am a nature girl and I have never been crate trained, and maybe never confined, so I don’t like it much.  My Foster Parents give me run of the main floor, so I don’t feel trapped.   I am the smartest dog in my house, and maybe as smart as my Fosters have ever had, so I will be easy to train, (or not), as I am smart enough to be independent! I also LOVE to swim and would be the perfect summer lake buddy!  I would love to go to an active person/persons/family, an athlete or runner would be great, as I can give you companionship and protection, while you give me companionship and care. Pick Me!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.       Hi! I'm Amren! Foster mama says I am the sweeetest and friendliest little girly in my litter. I am not up for my siblings crazy antics and would prefer to cuddle on the couch with my humans.   am learning all about living in a house and going potty on pads and outside. Story
Blooper is a 1 year old smooth collie and golden retriever mix. As a college student, I unfortunately have to rehome him, as I am moving into a small apartment and he does not do well being confined in his crate during the day for more than 4 hours. He is crate trained and has had basic obedience training. Very well-behaved, intelligent, and friendly dog who loves to cuddle. He is gentle with cats and loves other dogs. He has been living with an elderly cat and has been nicknamed “nurse Blooper,” due to his caring and attentive nature. He would be a loving and goofy addition to any family.

These pups are in Minnetonka, Minnesota too!

Story
Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo and I'd love to tell you a little bit about me! My absolute favorite thing to do is play fetch (except I bring it just a little bit away from you because you have to do some work too). I would much rather go somewhere new and sniff around than go on a walk (I tend to turn around after a block or so). I've got a ton of energy and love to run, jump, and play with my toys (but of course I don't touch anything I am not supposed to because I am a good boy), however, I also know when it is time to be an oversized lap dog and cuddle with you. I love food, but will only take it from someone I know/trust. If I am uncomfortable food is the last thing on my mind. I sleep with my foster mom but before I slept in a kennel and liked that too, I just much prefer the bed where I can snuggle under the blankets. I do great in a kennel for longer periods of time, but my foster family leaves me out and I don't try to get into anything. My kennel is still my safe place so I sometimes chill in there just because. I really love my people and once I trust you I will be your forever protector and best friend if you'll be mine. Camilo does have recurring allergies that will get pretty bad if you don't keep up with them, but they seem to be seasonal and are easily managed if you keep them under control. The biggest thing with Camilo is he has a lot of emotions and isn't easily trusting. He is such a sensitive dog and will mope or get scared quite often (i.e. he seems to think we are poisoning him if we let him try a new food). He doesn't do great with strangers, especially men. It takes a little while for him to warm up to them and when meeting you have to let him approach you rather than walking up to him. This has improved since we picked him up and if we are around it goes better than if we aren't. He really likes his people once he bonds with them and will want to be with you all the time and as much as possible. We think we would do best in a house with a yard as apartments have a lot of strangers, plus he loves to chase a ball and run around. Overall, he is super sweet and loving. He is well behaved and really smart and he does do really well with other dogs and outside in open spaces with anyone. He just needs someone willing to be his support system and that will work with him and his trust issues.

Story
I am Cyclone. I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Cyclone is an energetic, happy, playful puppy! He loves to be outside to explore, sniff, chase balls, or carry the best sticks he can find. He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs. He continues to work very hard on potty training with few accidents. Crate training is going well and he sleeps soundly through the night! He enjoys a good snuggle on your lap in the evenings to wind down his day. Cyclone learns quickly and his new tricks are to sit and wait for food, sit and shake his paw, and continues to work on mastering 'down'. He's very loved in his foster home and we are excited to find his forever family.
