Story
Hi! My name is Clary, and I am from Texas! Spunky, energetic, and full of love, Clary is looking for an active home where she can run, play, go on walks, and be part of everyday family life. She’s really enjoying learning to walk on a leash and exploring new places beyond the yard. Like most puppies, she gets excited, especially when she sees squirrels or rabbits. She’s settling nicely into a routine, doing well in her crate at night and for a few hours during the day when needed (tried max 4 hours so far). Clary is also making great progress with potty training, with only a few accidents in the past couple of weeks. She plays well with her sister and other dogs. She’ll make an amazing addition to a loving and active home!

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by The Wilbur Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Story
Hi! My name is Charlie, and I am from Arkansas! Charlie is the definition of a sweet puppy with a heart full of love and a growing personality to match. Now at 4 months old, he’s embracing all the fun parts of puppyhood — curious, playful, and always ready to be part of whatever is happening around him. Charlie is friendly with everyone he meets, including cats, dogs, and humans. He loves following his foster family around the house to see what they’re doing and making sure he doesn’t miss out on any action. While he still loves his cuddle time and being close to his people, he also has that classic puppy energy and enjoys playing, exploring, and keeping himself busy with toys (especially chew toys!). He sleeps well in his crate overnight and enjoys being near his people, whether that means playing, relaxing nearby, or curling up for snuggles after a busy day. Charlie loves other dogs and gets excited to make new friends. He enjoys having canine companions and is always happy for a chance to play, socialize, and be part of the fun. He’s just as happy being included in family activities and wants to be wherever his people are. Charlie is the perfect mix of sweet lovebug and playful puppy. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling, keep you company, and happily snuggle up after a day of adventures, Charlie could be your perfect match!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.     Vivian is sugar and spice and everything nice. This adorable little girl has a fun personality, a loving heart, and just the right amount of sass to keep you smiling.   One of Vivian’s favorite things in the world is snuggling. When you pick her up, she’ll happily rest her head on your shoulder and cover you with sweet little kisses. She loves being close to her people and isn’t shy about reminding you when she thinks she’s due for more attention. If breakfast isn’t arriving quickly enough or you’re busy doing something other than admiring her, Vivian may offer a few opinionated barks to let you know exactly how she feels.   Vivian came from a situation where she spent much of her life in a pen, so many everyday experiences are still new to her. While she can be a little nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, she has come such a long way already. She knows her foster home is a safe place, trusts her people, and continues to gain confidence every day. New friends may need to give her a minute to say hello, but before long her sweet personality shines through.   She loves playing with her littermate and the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys toys, chew bones, and romping around with her friends. She can be a bit vocal during playtime because she’s having so much fun. While she enjoys canine companionship and a confident dog friend could help continue building her confidence, she does not require another dog in her future home as long as her people are home much of the time.   Vivian has done well with both children and adults and enjoys all the love and attention they have to offer. She is a slightly busier puppy than some of her siblings but still has a wonderfully sweet and fairly calm overall personality. After a little playtime, she’s more than happy to settle in for couch snuggles—though she may still need a helping hand getting up there.   As a young puppy, Vivian is still learning about potty training, leash walking, and all the exciting things the world has to offer. She’s making great progress on leash skills, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys exploring new places with her people. A fenced yard would certainly be a bonus, but it is not required for her success.   Vivian loves food, playtime with friends, things to chew on, and most of all, being loved. She’s looking for a family that will continue helping her build confidence while embracing her affectionate, slightly sassy personality. In return, she’ll reward them with endless snuggles, sweet kisses, and enough charm to completely steal their hearts.   I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Do you want to meet me? I will be at Chuck and Don's in Eden Prairie, 8022 Den Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for an Adoption Event on Saturday, June 6th from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.   Gigi is a darling little puppy with a sweet personality and an easygoing nature. While she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly and soon shows her affectionate, playful side. Once she feels comfortable, she’s happy to snuggle up for cuddles or join in whatever fun is happening around her. Gigi loves people of all ages, including children, and gets along wonderfully with friendly dogs of all sizes. She also does well with cats, making her a great fit for many different types of homes. She enjoys her meals, loves chewing on teething toys and sticks, and is always ready for playtime. This smart little girl is eager to learn and is already picking up new skills from her foster siblings. She’s currently learning to fetch and is having a blast figuring out the game. Gigi is also working on leash walking and is making great progress, although she occasionally decides she’d rather be carried than continue her adventure on foot! Gigi rides nicely in the car, loves toys, and has the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and cuddle-bug sweetness. With her gentle nature, intelligence, and loving heart, Gigi is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of puppy kisses to her forever family. Good with dogs,
Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to Underdog Rescue Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) on Sunday, June 7th from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.   Lola May is a young puppy with a big personality, an adventurous spirit, and the sweetest little face you’ve ever seen. With her soft white coat, striking dark eyes, and one adorable black ear, she’s sure to turn heads wherever she goes—but it’s her playful, loving nature that will truly steal your heart. As a puppy, Lola May is still learning about the world around her, and she’s proving to be a very smart girl. She’s already picking up commands like “sit,” “wait,” “stay,” and “outside,” and is even learning to ring a bell to let her humans know when she’d like to go outdoors. She’s eager to learn and enjoys having both her mind and body kept busy. Potty training is coming along beautifully. Most days are accident-free when she’s kept on a consistent schedule, though she occasionally has a small accident if she isn’t able to get outside quickly enough. She’s also working on crate training and is learning how to settle herself when it’s time to rest. While she may need a potty break or two overnight, she’s making steady progress and usually calms down after just a few minutes. Lola May absolutely loves other dogs and is outgoing with canine friends of all sizes. Whether they’re tiny or towering, she wants to bounce around, play, and make new friends. Because she enjoys the company of other dogs so much, she may enjoy having a canine companion in her future home, though it isn’t required. While Lola May is confident and social with dogs, she’s a little more cautious when meeting new people. She may hang back at first and likes a little time and space to decide you’re a friend. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine. She can also be a bit wary of very young children, so gentle introductions and respectful interactions are important. Like any growing puppy, Lola May is currently in her chewing era. Toys, bully sticks, tough chews, and other puppy-safe items are some of her favorite things, helping soothe those teething gums while keeping her entertained. She also loves going for walks, exploring the world, running around the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and burning off her puppy zoomies. Lola May is looking for a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and is excited to continue helping a young puppy learn and grow. She’ll thrive with people who can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, adventures, and of course plenty of snuggles. We expect her to grow into a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will happily join you on your adventures and then curl up beside you at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a smart, playful puppy with a gentle heart, a goofy streak, and lots of potential, Lola May just might be the perfect addition to your family.  I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Snow’s story begins in a way no dog’s ever should. She was rescued in Arkansas as part of an animal cruelty case, and what she endured is something we’ll never fully understand. But what matters most about Snow isn’t where she started—it’s who she is now. And who she is now? An absolute angel. Snow is one of those dogs who just… wants to love and be loved. She’s gentle, sweet, and so eager to make her people happy. Despite everything she’s been through, she meets the world with trust, kindness, and the softest little soul. She does great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and while she hasn’t officially met any cats yet, her easygoing nature suggests she might be just fine. She’d love a doggy friend, but she’d also be perfectly content being your one and only—as long as she’s getting all the love she deserves. Snow is potty trained when kept on a schedule (about every 4 hours works great), and she thrives on routine. She’s still building confidence on a leash, so a fenced yard is important for her while she continues learning. And yes—Snow has just one eye. But around here, we think that just adds to her charm and her story. She doesn’t let it slow her down one bit, and honestly? She’s already twice the dog—strong, resilient, and full of love. Snow isn’t defined by what happened to her. She’s defined by how she shows up now: brave, forgiving, and ready to be someone’s whole world. If you’re looking for a best friend who will love you deeply, quietly, and completely… Snow is your girl   I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Story
Hi, my name is Jingbah and I am from Arkansas! Jingbah is a sweet, loyal little shadow who loves being close to his people. He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, as he absolutely loves canine companionship and quickly becomes best friends with other pups. Playful and affectionate, he adores toys, enjoys entertaining himself, and is happiest snuggled up with his humans for naps and cuddles. He’s very food- and praise-motivated, making him eager to learn and highly trainable. Jingbah is already making great progress with potty training every day. He also enjoys relaxing outside listening to the birds and rides wonderfully in the car, usually falling asleep along the way. While he can be a little shy in new situations, he gains confidence with patience and love. Overall, Jingbah is a gentle, distinguished little gentleman who will make an incredibly devoted companion.

Story
Hi, my name is Wally and I am from Georgia! Wally is a curious and cautious dog. He is friendly and enjoys playing with my 1-year-old puppy. He likes to lay on the bottom of the cat tree and enjoys going on walks. He is very quiet. Wally's favorite toys so far are soft bones and squeaky toys! He enjoys his crate. From the Vet: Wally is currently under-going treatment for increased eye pressures. While the treatment started with our BB Medical Team is going well, we have a definitive cause for his condition, so we are electing to refer him to a veterinary ophthalmologist for a more complete diagnosis and management plan.
