Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Meet Capri Sun, a member of the Texas Lunch Box crew! Capri gets along with everyone-dogs, cats, kids… you name em, she loves em! She’s already doing great with potty training and loves playing with toys, splashing in water, and carrying around her favorite sticks. Capri Sun is curious, affectionate, and happiest when she’s part of whatever you’re doing. Capri is also an expert cuddler and is known to curl up right at your feet (sometimes so quietly that you might not even notice she’s there). She is a smart and engaging puppy, and should be pretty straightforward to train with consistency! Capri Sun is looking for a loving family ready to continue her puppy training and shower her with all the affection she deserves. In return, she is ready to be the brightest spot in your day for years to come. 😊 Capri Sun is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/01/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. GoGurt is always up for an adventure and happiest when he’s on the move. He is gentle and polite when meeting new people and animals, but once he knows you… get ready for a party!! Gogurt is also quite the “collector” he loves to parade around his most recent find, whether it’s a rock, dried grass, stick, you name it, he will carry it.
