Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Meet Jambalaya! Looking for a "work-from-home" partner who knows how to party on the weekends? Jambalaya is your guy! This handsome, athletic pup is the perfect blend of smarts and snuggles. As a young pup, he’s already mastered the art of being a "good boy." The Highlights: Pro-Level Manners: Jambalaya is fully potty trained and already knows Sit, Shake, and Stay. He’s an A+ student! The Perfect Coworker: He does great hanging out quietly while I work, but he's always down for a game or a run with other dogs when it’s break time. Expert Sleeper: He’s a dream in his crate overnight, though he’s such a gentleman he’d likely do just fine free-roaming. Social & Sweet: He loves his people and being close to them. On walks, he’s a total pro—no barking at neighbors or other dogs! A Note on New Friends: > Jambalaya takes his "watchdog" duties a little seriously at first and will give a bark to announce guests. However, once he realizes they're friends, he calms down quickly and is ready for pets. If you’re looking for a smart, medium-energy companion who is ready to fit right into your routine, Jambalaya is your guy! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Happy, social, and full of puppy charm—Pierogi is a 3-month-old, 16 lb Collie-doodle mix who loves to play and be near his people. He’s a sweet, easygoing little guy who makes fast friends and is happiest when he’s part of the action. He is outgoing, playful and full of personality. He came from the shelter so this is an educated guess, we are not sure of his breed at all.    He’s a social butterfly who loves other dogs and people alike. He’s spunky, friendly, and always ready to play. Like many puppies, he can get a little excited—he may jump up to say hello or try to chew on hands during playtime, so he’ll do best with older kids as he continues to learn his manners.   Pierogi came into rescue with a broken leg, but it is healing wonderfully- he’s even out of his cast! We know he’ll be back to his playful, bouncy self in no time.   He’s already doing great with potty training—going both outside and on potty pads—and is making nice progress with leash training. He will go to the door when he needs to go out to go potty. With a little time to adjust to a new routine, he’s a quick learner who will continue to do well. He’s also working on leash training and improving every day.   Pierogi is generally a quiet pup but will let you know when he’s excited or wants your attention, especially during playtime. He enjoys being outside just as much as he loves playing—whether he’s romping in the snow or soaking up the sunshine, he’s happiest when he can explore and have fun. He rides quietly in the car and settles in nicely.   He’s the kind of pup who brings joy wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate puppy with a happy-go-lucky personality, Pierogi is ready to be your new best friend. I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Kong is from Texas. He was found there, in a ditch alongside a busy road, along with his brother. They were both taken into rescue after their stray hold was up, and were given age appropriate veterinary care and nutrition. They have both been thriving while in rescue, and now it's time for them to find homes of their own. Kong is a loving, affectionate pup. His texan foster family has a young girl that will hold him like a baby while she watches TV, and he loves every minute of it. He would absolutely adore a family with children to play and grow with. while kids would be a great bonus for kong, they are not a requirement for adoption in any way. Kong is not yet potty trained, but what young pup is? He has been working on his potty training skills with his texan foster family, and will need some patience and grace as he acclimates to his new family/schedule. Consistency is key in potty training and a consistent feeding/potty schedule will be key in him becoming fully potty trained. Kong has also begun crate training, and will sleep there soundly through the night as well as kennel up when his people are gone during the day. He has begun leash training, but will need to continually polish those manners. If you think Kong is the perfect pup for you, please fill out an adoption application today.. he can't wait to meet you! They arrive in Minnesota on 04/11/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
Meet Honey, a 10-year-old, 35# Border Collie with a soft heart, soulful eyes, and the gentle wisdom only a seasoned companion can offer. This sweet, sensitive “country girl” is happiest when life moves at a peaceful pace. Lovingly known as Sweet Pea and Honey Dew, she is a true “people” person. Her favorite place in the world is right beside her human. Honey’s joys are beautifully simple: mealtime (she never misses it!), quiet sniff-walks in the woods, and trotting out to “check the perimeter” of the yard. She adores respectful, easy-going canine friends and would prefer one in her new family. We think she would befriend kitties, given her sweet disposition. Afternoons spent snuggling on the couch are her favorite. Her theme song is “I Think I Love You” by David Cassidy: once she bonds, she loves with her whole heart. As a senior girl, Honey's energy is steady and balanced. She’s reliably housebroken, comfortable in a crate for short periods, and wonderful on leash in quiet, wooded areas. Loud noises like traffic and city sounds are frightening for her: she prefers the hush of nature to the rush of cars. Honey would thrive in a rural or very quiet home where she’s accompanied outdoors, not just “let outside”. She’ll happily supervise gardening or peaceful outdoor chores, join a quiet trail walk or relax while you read a good book. Honey would do best in an adult home with a patient, emotionally attuned person or couple who offers affection at her speed. To show her true self, she needs a balance of gentle encouragement, choices, and a sense of partnership, never force. At the same time, she doesn’t want to be coddled. More than anything, Honey is looking for a balanced human who walks quietly on the earth, laughs easily, and returns the deep, steady joy she so freely gives. If you’re seeking a tender-hearted companion for life’s quieter adventures, Sweet Pea is waiting. Honey is being fostered in Minnetrista, MN. Honey's adoption fee is $350 + MN sales tax. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Story
Hi, I’m Cap, but my friends call me Dapper Capper. I’m a 4-year-old, 40-pound Border Collie mix with a sharp mind and an even sharper eye for snacks. If you’re looking for an attentive, playful, athletic, intelligent sidekick… you just found him! If we’re being honest, food is my number one passion. After that? Playtime, especially outside. Give me a soccer ball or toy in a fenced yard, and you’ll be amazed at my footwork, delivering it right back to you, as long as it’s the toy I chose! (You should know I’m considering a career in professional fetch, so I’m particular about the tools of my trade.) Around the house, I easily relax and lounge around for a while. After that, I want some action. My perfect family will include me in their active lifestyle of walking or hiking, maybe causal runs. I’m always up for adventures, including eating out with my foster family and a visit to "grandma" in another state! Car rides are amazing and my nose loves new places to sniff around. Sometimes new spaces are a tiny bit scary, but with positive words and maybe some treats, I gain confidence quickly. I’d do best as your one-and-only dog. No kitties, please. I could live with older kids roughly 12+. A herding breed savvy family would be ideal: they will appreciate my unique combination of smarts and playful energy. Training is a breeze – I’m curious and smart. I’m housebroken, crate nicely, know basic obedience commands, and have a nice recall. I’m about 75% trustworthy around counters and trash cans (remember, I LOVE food). If you are looking for a fun-loving, loyal adventure partner who can chill hard and play even harder, I’m your guy. APPLY to adopt me at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Cap is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN. Cap's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax.
