Story
Sola is a very sweet female Collie mix born in approximately March 2023. We don’t know a lot about her history, but it is clear that she has had lots of love and interaction with humans throughout her life.  This girl is extremely affectionate, sweet, playful and smart.  She truly is a wonderful pup! Sola learned potty training quickly and is now fully trained!  She is very good in the house as well.  She tends to stay off the furniture (except when she’s feeling lovey), and doesn’t chew or grab inappropriate things.  She prefers her toys and doesn’t counter-surf.  She sleeps in a crate, and stays in there quietly all night.  We have, on occasion, crated her during the day for up to 4-5 hours at a time and she does very well.  Sola gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, and even interacts nicely with cats.  She does like to play a little energetically at times, so smaller or older dogs may not appreciate her enthusiasm.  Outdoors, Sola likes to explore.  The woods are her favorite!  She’s great on a leash, and would make a perfect hiking buddy, or walking partner.  At home, she would do best with a fenced yard, but she does very well on a tie-out as well.  What we are working on with Sola:  she's enrolled in an obedience class, and we expect her to do very well.  We have been teaching her that not everyone loves kisses (she loves to lick, but this is improving), she is learning basic commands (she knows sit, down, get down, leave it and treat….selectively understands come and stay (distractions sometimes get her attention).   She can be pretty high energy when she gets excited, although she can also be calm, quiet and loving at other times.  We feel that all of these are manageable and will take some time and consistency. Some of our favorite things about Sola:  she rarely barks, she’s always happy to see us, she gets along with all of the other dogs (and cats) in our home.  She is very eager to learn.  We love the way she prances and hops around in the morning, simply because it’s morning.  She is such a good, easy dog already but we feel she has a ton of potential.  We can’t wait to meet the lucky family who gets to call this girl their own!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $495.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2025, 9:15 am

Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I think that I am around 3 – 5 years old. I’m a Collie/Beagle mix. I have longer legs than a typical beagle and weigh about 50 pounds. I have been with my foster mom, dad, and my two basset friends for over a year. I go to work with my foster mom every day and am great with all the customers and construction people who are always around. I also do well with the office cats, although if they try to get too much of my foster mom's time, I will chase them. I would do my best as an only dog, as I try to be very dominant and do not like it when dogs approach me. Slow introductions are a must. I really love walks, but am very excited and bark for  the first couple of minutes of the walk. My foster mom and dad are working on that and the pulling. The great stuff about me is I’m very loyal to my human and have become my foster mom's ride or die. I love sitting in the passenger seat and driving to work with her. At least I get away from the pesky bassets for a while. I’m not a dog that needs attention all the time. I would make a great farm dog. I prefer to sleep on a dog bed even though I could sleep on Mom's bed. I have a pretty good callback, but could use some work. After all, I have that beagle nose. I do not like to be crated. I have never had an accident inside and come up and start licking you to go outside. I know the perfect person is out there for me! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD This here is Brantley (but prefers the name Max). He is very sweet, playful and loves to cuddle. Completely potty trained but still not a fan of his kennel. He does have some anxiety when his humans are away, and this is still being worked on. He is a sweet boy but will need an understanding and patient home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Elsie is a typical puppy. She loves to be loved and cuddled, is very affectionate and follows her people around. Her energy level is medium with bouts of crazy zoomies 2 or 3 times a day. She is good with current foster mom working from home and can go throughout the day entertaining herself as needed. She’s not been destructive and plays with toys appropriately. She likes to chase balls and will occasionally bring them back. Elsie is working on potty training and is beginning to know what ‘go potty’ means when she is outside. She is also learning to ring a bell when she needs to go. (still a work in progress!) She gets along well with the resident dog and is learning to respect the resident cat. She is more curious than anything with the cat but we are purposefully having them spend time together so she learns that cats can be her friend. All in all, someone is going to get a wonderful new member of their family. She’s a sweetheart and will make someone very happy. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Aberdeen, SD Hi! My name is Pasta. My foster family calls me Noodle or Pasta noodle sometimes. I'm a super sweet girl who loves everyone (including kids and other dogs). I am very food motivated and know how to "sit." I am kennel trained and keep my kennel clean. I am still working on potty training but I am starting to get the hang of it. I love to find your shoes, slippers, and even your clothes to make myself a cozy bed to lay on. I will be your little shadow everywhere you go! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 7 months old. He is 50% Border Collie mix and maybe Terrier or Lab. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger but very sweet personality. He is the most outgoing of his litter. He has the long beautiful coat of the Border Collie. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He walks wonderfully on a leash and will be a wonderful family companion. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. He is outgoing enough to be the only dog or would be fine with another dog as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Meet Drifter, the fun-loving Aussie mix puppy who's always ready for a good time! This energetic little guy thrives on companionship and is eager to explore the world by your side. Drifter is excelling at leash walking, as he just can't wait to be with his person, making every stroll an adventure. With a friendly demeanor, Drifter gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and listens attentively when they correct him, showcasing his respectful nature. His playful spirit and affectionate personality make him the perfect addition to any active family looking for a loyal adventure buddy. Whether it's hiking, running, or simply enjoying a day at the park, Drifter is always up for the challenge. Get ready for endless fun and unforgettable memories with this charming pup! I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Peaches to CCPAL foster program. Peaches is an 8.5-week-old puppy. She weighs about 10 pounds. She should be 30 pounds or less full grown. She will be medium sized. She is a Border Collie/Lab is our best guess. She was found as a stray on a busy street and people were honking. A good Samaritan picked her up and did some initial vetting and then was referred to CCPAL Rescue to find her new home. She is very very sweet and gentle. She would be fine with other dogs, all people and children. We like children to be 8 or older to best understand how to handle a puppy. She is very trusting and has the softest hair. Her coat almost feels like the soft fluffy underlayer of feathers found on birds. She has webbed feet so she should be a good swimmer. She is good in a crate, good in a car, good with other dogs and a cat. She is a good lap companion She is playful but moderate in the activity range. She is soft when you pick her up and contented on your lap. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200.
