Story
Graham is a two year old, solid bodied 17 pound mix of Chihuahua, German Shepherd, and possible beagle and terrier .  He is beautifully housebroken and crate trained.  His energy level varies from "just chillin" to "crazy puppy zoomies".  He loves to play with his toys and thrives on human attention.  He loves to do nose work and other training.  Very well behaved in the car.  Graham just needs some additional training to help him learn the rest of his puppy manners and get over his fear of strangers, and then he is ready to be your best friend forever.   For more information on Graham, please contact allison@chesed-rescue.org  July 15, 2024, 6:05 pm

Story
Max is adorable, affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled.  He is a 2 year old, 7 pound yorkie-poo who could stand to gain a pound or two.  He is house-broken and well mannered, loves his blankies and toys and has a calm disposition.  And he has gorgeous, thick, black-brown wavy fur. Max is also a spoiled drama queen.  He will tell you what he wants and expects you to do his bidding.  Whether it is sharing your banana, putting on his sweater (he loves to get dressed) or telling you that it is time for a walk, "no" is not really an option.  While he is fine being left home alone for a few hours, he much prefers it when his human servants are there to wait on him. Additionally, Max is a special needs baby.  He was born with a spine defect and two bad knees which sometimes cause him some pain.  He also has IBS.  We are working with 9 different specialists to make him as happy and comfortable as can be.  We would greatly appreciate any donations to help with the cost.  And any potential adopters will need to have the love and financial resources to handle anything that might come up in this boy's future, as we have promised him that his next home will be forever! To read Max's full story, go to www.chesed-rescue.org/Max Adoption applications for Max, as well as a link to our paypal donation page are available at www.chesed-rescue.org.  To donate any other way (check, zelle, gofundme, etc.) or to get more information about Max, please contact allison@chesed-rescue.org.July 15, 2024, 6:05 pm

Story
Max was taken in off the streets 2 years ago, but now his mom is terminally ill and can no longer care for him. He is an active boy who is housebroken and good on a leash. He is cautious when meeting other animals, but does great if introduced properly (He has spent time at doggie daycare and did great with the other dogs.). Mostly, he just loves his people! Max is full grown at 35 pounds. He is fixed and up to date on all his medical. He is 2.5 years old and looking to finally find a forever home. Max will be adopted straight from his current owner, with Chesed Rescue assisting with background and vet checks. For more information about Max, please contact allison@chesed-rescue.org (please specify "Max the terrier" as we have a few Maxs!) or fill out an application at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions. Story
Arthur is a tiny little boy at barely 8 pounds. We think he is about 1-2 years old. Arthur is already fixed and we are bringing him up to date on his other basic medical needs. Once his fur grows in (he had to be shaved due to matting), he should be a very handsome poodle. Arthur loves to play (fetch is his favorite) and he loves to snuggle up next to you.  He is good with other dogs and dog-friendly cats. Crate trained, good on a leash. Applications for Arthur are available at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions. We background and vet check all applicants and are looking for stable, loving homes. July 15, 2024, 6:05 pm

Story
Pnina is a beautiful little terrier mix puppy, though she actually looks and acts like a mini Labrador retriever.  We think she is about 10 months old and currently weighs 18 pounds.   She is much smaller than the photos would lead you to believe.  She is super friendly and curious and high energy (Puppy!) and doing great with the other dogs and cats in her foster home.   Pnina just came into rescue but is working on her housebreaking, though it is a little difficult at the moment with a cast on her leg.  She came to us with a broken hind leg, which animal control was going to amputate.  Our vets felt that the leg could be saved with no lasting damage, and so we are casting her and x-raying every week with a surgeon on standby for repair should the casting not work.  After her leg is fully healed, she will be spayed.  Pnina is up to date on all her vaccines and testing. She is looking forward to having all this medical attention over with and getting on with life as a puppy!  If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, please apply at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions.  We background and vet check all applicants and are looking for stable homes. Pnina may be available for a foster to adopt situation.July 15, 2024, 6:05 pm
