Story
3/17/25.  ROCCO is hoping this day brings him some luck and lands him his forever home. This incredibly sweet boy finds himself back at the rescue through no fault of his own. His mellow, gentle, happy disposition has endeared him to all the volunteers and staff. ROCCO has never met a human he doesn't like and will gently paw you for attention. He is extremely smart and very treat-motivated. He understands the words NO, Go Away, and FEET to get his feet wiped. He stands for a bath without complaint, is great in the car, in the crate, and at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash but is a big strong boy, and if not handled properly, will pull if he sees an iguana. He loves lying on the couch and cuddling with you. He had an adopter for a couple of months who was absolutely heartbroken to give him up, but she worked long hours and felt he was spending too much time in the crate, and it wasn't fair to him. ROCCO prefers the company of humans over other dogs but may be okay with a very submissive female with proper introduction. He has not been around young children or cats, so we will not put him in that situation. I adore this boy beyond words. PLEASE SHARE ROCCO, and maybe your share will be the lucky one that finds him his forever home! 9/23/24. This absolutely adorable boy was brought to the vet by his owner to be euthanized because he and his unaltered brother from the same litter were not getting along. Luckily, the vet intervened, seeing how sweet they are, and they found their way to our rescue looking for their second chance. ROCCO is a big, gentle boy who walks well on a leash, rides nicely in a car, and likes everyone he meets. He is a smart boy who just wants to please, knows some basic commands, and is treat-motivated. He lived with another older female pitbull, so he may be okay with another calm female or just as the only prince of the house. He is scared of thunderstorms. We have no kid or cat history, so we will not put him in that situation. PLEASE SHARE ROCCO so that he can find his forever family. He has been patiently waiting. 07/28/24 Meet ROCCO.  This adorable dober boy was not getting along with his brother at home so finds himself in need of new family.  He is a bit shy at first meet but quickly warms up with wagging tail to greet you.  He knows some basic commands and seems very eager to learn and please.   He just wants to be near you and craves affection when you take him out.  No Cats. May be ok with another female dog with proper introduction.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). 3/10/25.  TONI needs your help to find his forever home! This 1-year-old Dobie mix came to us in early December after a Good Samaritan noticed he was abandoned in a garage. He's a pup, so he's definitely going to need some training, but he is sweet and friendly with everyone he meets, and he walks nicely on a leash. He is so grateful to get out of his kennel run for a walk or playtime. He would make a great and loyal companion to an active person willing to put the time into training this adorable guy. PLEASE don't overlook him just because he's a mix. He likes female dogs; cats unknown. Let's find TONI his forever home! 1/12/25  Meet TONI - This absolutely adorable 1-year-old Dobie mix was abandoned in a garage before some Good Samaritan found him and got him to us. He is sweet, playful, walks nicely on a leash, and likes other dogs. He is still a pup and will need some training, but he is smart and eager to please. Like all our Dobie mixes, he may not be purebred but is 100% lovebug. Please consider adding terrific TONI to your family and SHARE him. He's a GOOD BOY who will bring a lot of joy and love into your life.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
2/16/25. 5-year-old HERMEY is still waiting patiently for his forever home. This 5-year-old dobie shepherd mix was found fending for himself for almost 1 year in Hialeah before coming to the rescue. He is a sweet, smart boy who will do anything for some attention and a belly rub, but as he is a strong boy and will need some training, he is best suited for an experienced large breed handler. He seemed to like other dogs when first coming to the rescue, but now it seems he may be better as the only dog. He may possibly work with proper introduction to a calm female. If you are looking for a smart, loving, regal dog, HERMEY has got you covered. With gentle guidance and training, HERMEY will make a very loyal companion. 12/27/24. Meet HERMEY! This incredibly sweet 5 yr old Dobie/shepherd mix was fending for himself for over a year in Hialeah. For the last 3 months, some very kind ladies have been taking care of him and trying to catch him so they could finally get him safe with us. In the last few weeks we have had him, he's shown himself to be a very loving and gentle boy. He is super strong on a leash and will need some training, but the Dobie/shepherd mixes have proven themselves to be amazingly smart and eager to please. He is good with all people, likes other dogs, and likes the water. Cats and small children are unknown, so we will not put him in that situation. He is still waiting on his neuter, but will make a great addition to the right family. Let's SHARE and help HERMEY find his furever family in 2025!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
3/23/25. Hi, my name is JACK and I really need your help finding my forever home. I'm a handsome 3-4 year old red Doberman gentleman that came from MDAS last June with my companion who was overbred, so not a lot of history is known about me except that I was probably just used for breeding and not socialized well as a pup. I quickly became a volunteer favorite with my sweet and calm gentle demeanor. I love to go in the staff office and play with toys. I walk lovely on a leash and ride nicely in the car. I'm good in my crate for the most part but prefer being out of it and do not destroy anything when left alone in my home for even up to 8 hours. I do have a huge prey drive and cannot be in a home with any small animals or cats. Although I like other female dogs, I would be best as the only dog in the home. I am best suited for a Doberman-savvy owner who understands the breed's quirks and will work with me to be the best that I can be. With the right adopter, I will be the most loving, loyal best friend you could ask for. PLEASE, I know you're out there; I would really like to go to my forever home! PLEASE SHARE me! 2/12/25. 3-year-old Jack is looking for his furever home. This incredibly adorable red boy has a lot of love to give and craves affection. He is a happy boy and very eager to please his adopter. Although he likes other female dogs his size, he is best suited for a home as the only fur kid. He is very good in a home when left out of his crate, even up to 9 hours, and does not destroy anything. He is fully potty trained and crate trained, although not a big fan of his crate. No cats or small animals for Jack. He is a survivor of MDAS, so not a lot is known about his back history, but his sweet and goofy temperament has made him a favorite among the volunteers. Jack can be a bit wary of meeting new people in his home, but with a slow and proper introduction, he is fine. He would do best with a Doberman-savvy owner who will continue to work and train him so that he can reach his full potential. With the right owner, Jack will make a wonderful, loving, and loyal companion. 12/10/24.  Our JACK is hoping to find his furever home for the holidays. This incredibly sweet 3-4 year gorgeous red dober boy from MDAS has never met a human he doesn’t like. He just wants to be petted and by your side once he comes out of his kennel. While he plays nicely with other female dogs at the rescue he is better suited as an only dog in the home. No cats. He’s a calm boy in the house but will need some training so a knowledgeable owner with gentle guidance will allow him to be the very best version of himself. Walks nicely on leash, rides great in car, great at the vets. JACK is a sweetheart and really wants to go home. Let’s help make his holiday wish come true and share him. 9/29/24.  JACK is such a sweet and gentle beautiful red boy. Walks lovely on a leash and is so happy for some attention and love. Needs to be the only dog. Cats and kids unknown so we will not put him in that situation.  PLEASE SHARE to help JACK find his furever home. 7/22/24.  Meet JACK, this absolutely adorable 4 year old red boy is looking for his forever home. He is new to the rescue so we are still getting to know him but he is a sweet boy that waits patiently in his kennel until it's his turn to come out. He likes everyone he meets although can be a bit shy at first. He would be happy as the only dog in the home. Since he came from the shelter we can no history of kids or cats with him so we will not put him in that situation.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral).
