Story
3/17/25. ROCCO is hoping this day brings him some luck and lands him his forever home. This incredibly sweet boy finds himself back at the rescue through no fault of his own. His mellow, gentle, happy disposition has endeared him to all the volunteers and staff. ROCCO has never met a human he doesn't like and will gently paw you for attention. He is extremely smart and very treat-motivated. He understands the words NO, Go Away, and FEET to get his feet wiped. He stands for a bath without complaint, is great in the car, in the crate, and at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash but is a big strong boy, and if not handled properly, will pull if he sees an iguana. He loves lying on the couch and cuddling with you. He had an adopter for a couple of months who was absolutely heartbroken to give him up, but she worked long hours and felt he was spending too much time in the crate, and it wasn't fair to him. ROCCO prefers the company of humans over other dogs but may be okay with a very submissive female with proper introduction. He has not been around young children or cats, so we will not put him in that situation. I adore this boy beyond words. PLEASE SHARE ROCCO, and maybe your share will be the lucky one that finds him his forever home! 9/23/24. This absolutely adorable boy was brought to the vet by his owner to be euthanized because he and his unaltered brother from the same litter were not getting along. Luckily, the vet intervened, seeing how sweet they are, and they found their way to our rescue looking for their second chance. ROCCO is a big, gentle boy who walks well on a leash, rides nicely in a car, and likes everyone he meets. He is a smart boy who just wants to please, knows some basic commands, and is treat-motivated. He lived with another older female pitbull, so he may be okay with another calm female or just as the only prince of the house. He is scared of thunderstorms. We have no kid or cat history, so we will not put him in that situation. PLEASE SHARE ROCCO so that he can find his forever family. He has been patiently waiting. 07/28/24 Meet ROCCO. This adorable dober boy was not getting along with his brother at home so finds himself in need of new family. He is a bit shy at first meet but quickly warms up with wagging tail to greet you. He knows some basic commands and seems very eager to learn and please. He just wants to be near you and craves affection when you take him out. No Cats. May be ok with another female dog with proper introduction.
