Story

Dylan is looking for his forever home! We believe he is 9 yo and don’t know much about his past. He came to ASF thin, scared, and matted. Despite his past, he has flourished in his foster home. Dylan is a black tri that is about 35lbs and has limited vision in his left eye, it is not a blue eye. He is very tolerant and does well with brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, taking medication, ect. He is scared of the noise clippers make. He is not a fan of most forms of water but enjoys playing in the rain. He is a very low energy pup. He will do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He is crate trained. He does not enjoy car rides or leash walks as they stress him out. He struggles with separation anxiety, as many Aussies do, but he also gets stress related poops. He is best kenneled if leaving the house to avoid messes. Dylan is a very sweet pup that is learning to love the good life. He enjoys strolls around the yard, rolling in the grass, and taking a nap at foster mom’s feet. He gets the zoomies anytime foster mom comes back from the grocery store. He is okay with other dogs as long as they allow him his space. Because of his vision he gets nervous when other dogs are in his face. He also does well with other small animals as he is very gentle. He does not climb or jump so you don’t have to worry about him hopping up on the couch or bed, unless you put him there. He is food motivated and gets very excited for meals. He has picked up some tricks from his fellow housemates, like giving his paw for pets, and pressing some of the talking buttons. He is sometimes nervous around new people but is quickly appeased with treats and pets. Dylan is a nervous Nelly that has had a tough life but is a very sweet and gentle boy. He has the best Dobby ears and bleps anytime he falls asleep. If you are looking for a low energy Aussie , Dylan may be your man! He is neutered and up to date on shots. Hi, I’m Finn, a 13-year-old husky with a heart full of love and a very chill personality. I’m a senior, so I’ve earned my right to take things slow.. No need for a crate—just a cozy spot to relax, enjoy life, and be close to my humans. I’m a total sweetheart, and I absolutely love burying my bones. It’s one of my quirkiest traits—when I find a perfect spot, I get so excited, and it’s pretty adorable. I may be a little slower on walks these days (arthritis and hip dysplasia make things a bit more challenging), but I still enjoy my morning strolls, even if I need a little encouragement to keep going. I’ll bark at you to move faster, but don’t worry, it’s just my way of saying, "Let’s go!" I’m great with other dogs and would do well in a home with them. As for kids, I haven’t had much experience, but I’m gentle and calm, so I think I’d be just fine. I may not be the fastest walker, but I make up for it with my sweet and patient demeanor. I also have some incontinence issues, but it’s not my fault, and I’ll need a family who’s patient and understanding when it comes to that. I’m a good eater, and I take treats gently—no rushing here! I’m also an expert at floor cuddles, and I love being in the same room as my humans. I’m not destructive, and though I get a little anxious when you first leave, I eventually settle down and relax. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving senior to share your life with, I’d love to be the one to spend my golden years with you. I may be a little slower than I used to be, but my heart is just as big, and I promise to fill your life with love and loyalty.

Hi, I’m Apollo! I’m 5 years old and full of fun and energy! I might be on the smaller side, but I’ve still got a little growing to do. I absolutely love running and playing, just like most Huskies, so I’d really love a backyard to call my own—preferably fenced, so I don’t get too distracted and wander off on an adventure! I adore all dogs and humans, but with all this energy, I might be a bit much for the little ones. Sometimes I get so excited that I might accidentally bump into them or play a bit too rough. But don’t worry, I’m eager to learn and improve if someone just gives me a chance. I already know how to sit, catch, and almost stay, and I’m always ready to learn more, especially if there are treats involved! I’m a super quick learner and love to please. I have not been tested with cats. Oh, and guess what? I once jumped into a pool and was surprised at how cool it was—I can swim! Hey there! I’m Lulu, a sweet and affectionate Siberian Husky, and I’m around 2 years old. I’ve got a big personality, and I’m not shy about sharing my thoughts—especially when it comes to being crated! My howls are my way of making sure you know the song of my people will never be forgotten. I absolutely love to play, and I thrive best in a home with another dog or as your one-and-only companion. When my foster brother and I are left alone, we turn the house into our own little playground, racing around and barking until our humans return. I’m currently learning to walk on a lead, and while I get a little too excited at the sight of it, I know I’ll get the hang of it soon! During the day, you’ll find me peeking out the window, keeping an eye on the world and waiting for my favorite humans to come back home. I love being close by, often nudging your hand for some affection or trying to cozy up under your legs for a little extra comfort. I’m still getting used to hugs and kisses, but I absolutely adore gentle pets and belly rubs. I was once used solely for breeding, but now I know what it means to be a cherished family member. I’ve adjusted wonderfully to indoor living, and I love finding comfort in cozy spots, especially the bed where my humans are.
