Story
Raven is a rescue from Orange County Animal services. She loves our family very much and as such can be protective of us. She does not like anyone not from the family entering our home and will lunge and bark and growl if she encounters other animals on walks or people get too close to her. According to her trainer she has good bite inhibition and also currently is struggling with understanding what is a threat and what is not and that flight is an option. We are rehoming her because our landlord rescinded her permission for us to have Raven after an incident in which an adult babysitter was roughhousing and tickling my 7 year old son who has autism he was screaming and crying for her to stop and she did not stop until he was able to get away from her. Raven was in my daughter’s room because she doesn’t play well with strangers. My son opened the room and Raven ran out and bit the woman. Raven is very protective of my son and this is the only time she has ever bitten anyone.

Story
Bandit is a 2.5-year-old male Australian Shepherd. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped. We have loved having him as part of our family, but since welcoming a baby, it’s become increasingly difficult to meet his needs. His energy level is high, and despite our best efforts, he continues to jump excessively especially near the baby creating a safety concern we can no longer manage and we need help with as soon as possible. We recently tried to place him with a new family, but he did not get along with their dog, which helped us realize he must be the only pet in the household. He has never shown anything but love towards humans. Hes great with older children our 9-year-old adores him but hes not a fit for a home with small kids or other animals. Bandit is an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy. He walks well on a leash, listens attentively, and has the most endearing, quirky smile. He just needs an experienced owner who can give him structure & exercise.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey, How's it going? My name is Mopar and I enjoy Yappy Hours! Obviously, as you can see I am quite handsome.   But I am also strong and have a great build just like the car I am named after. But I am not all brawn, I am also very smart and sweet. I know tons of commands that my friends at the training camp taught me.  I need someone that will take the time to continue working with me on the many commands I know. I love long walks, so if you jog or hike we will definitely get along. I also like relaxing and getting belly rubs and snuggles. Because I am strong, I will need someone that is able to handle me with walks because if I see a bicycle I get a little upset and need to have someone help me redirect so we can enjoy our outing.   The trainer that I worked with recommends that I go to a home with just one owner because I can get protective of the home and do not want anyone invading the space I feel I need to protect. About Training Camp: Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center  which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”. Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ). Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sasha came to PRBJ after a family saved her from a bad situation, but was unable to keep her as they had a house full with dogs and cats already...Sasha did well with all their pets, by the way!  Sasha is potty trained and does fantastic on leash. She really enjoys her walks... especially when she has time to stop and roll around in the grass. She will stay in a crate, but is not happy about it when she is first placed into it as she spent most of her life locked in a crate. Now that she knows the freedom of being outside locked bars, she is hesitant to go in for fear of having to stay inside for long periods of time ,but if the door is left open she does much better.  Sasha is vocal and gives a little bully yelp when she is ready to get out or is in search of attention. She doesn't bark it is a funny bully noise that if you heard it from other bullys you know the sound. Sasha is food motivated. We are recommending an adult only home due to her being unsure about new situationsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 20, 2025, 11:27 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Our Sweet Surprise Litter!   10 Adorable Puppies Looking for Forever Homes These ten precious pups came to Pet Rescue By Judy after an unexpected twist in their former owner’s life. Their previous caretaker, a kind woman with a heart for animals, had taken in several adult dogs under the impression that they had already been spayed and neutered. A couple of months later — surprise! — she found herself caring for a full litter of energetic puppies. Unfortunately, due to health issues, she was no longer able to care for the growing group and reached out to us for help. Now, these happy, healthy pups are ready to find their forever families!   What They Need Puppies require time, patience, and consistent training — but the reward is a lifetime of unconditional love. Ideal adopters will be prepared for:   Ongoing potty and obedience training Regular vet care including vaccinations Daily play, exercise and affection A fenced yard is preferred so they can safely romp, play, and burn off their puppy energy     Whether you’re a first-time dog parent or a seasoned pet lover, one of these pups might be the perfect new addition to your home.   Important Information for New Puppy Parents   Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog,  dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential .   We  strongly recommend that the  entire family  participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the  same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.   **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families!  Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Anna – Your New Best Friend!  Looking for a sweet, spunky, and slightly chunky companion? Meet Anna, an 8-year-old Boston Terrier-Chihuahua mix with a big personality and a heart full of love!  Anna has spent her life in a calm, adult-only household in a 55+ community. Because of her limited experience with kids, we’re seeking a home that’s adults only or with older, respectful children who understand her boundaries.  About Anna:  Knows basic commands like sit, stay, roll over, and her personal favorite — dance! Fully potty trained and has excellent house manners. Enjoys daily walks, yard play, and of course, snuggle time. Currently a little overweight, so she’ll need a dedicated human to help her get back to a healthy weight with regular activity and portion control. Would need to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention she deserves.  Anna is playful, affectionate, and ready to find her forever person. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you company on walks, entertain you with her dance moves, and warm your heart every day — Anna is your girl!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2025, 7:21 am
