Story
Zella is a 7-month-old purebred red Toy Poodle weighing 5.2 lbs. She comes from a reputable breeder, and breeder information can be provided to serious adopters. She is sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and has a calm temperament. While she enjoys toys, occasional zoomies, and exploring outside, she is generally a relaxed puppy who loves to lounge and be near her people. Zella is fully potty trained, sleeps through the night, settles nicely in her playpen, and is comfortable spending time independently. She often chooses to relax in her playpen even when she has access to other areas. She knows sit, down, touch, paw, come, leave it, and responds reliably to her name. She is healthy, well cared for, and up to date on routine veterinary care. She comes with all of her belongings, including her playpen, toys, blankets, supplies, and her favorite Snuggle Puppy. Priority is finding a loving, committed home that will continue her training and make her a cherished member of the family.

Story
Sammy has been our dog for over five years, and we love her very much. She is very smart and obedient. I often walk her without a leash, and she goes outside in the front yard off leash with me almost every day. Sammy is very energetic. Her love language is going on walks, and she especially loves long walks. She is a bit obsessed with squirrels and loves to chase them. She is okay with other dogs. She loves playing with our neighbor’s dog, but if another dog is aggressive, she will not back down. Sammy is extremely house trained. She has never destroyed anything and has never had any accidents in the house. Three years ago, we had our first child, and Sammy has never quite adjusted. She is anxious around young kids and would do best in a home without them. She has never caused any real harm, but she needs a place where she can feel completely safe.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***IN TRAINING TILL MID JULY***Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! The Beer Pups - Barley, Hops and Porter The trio was surrendered to PRBJ after their family had to move from their farm to a townhouse.  The boys were originally found late last summer when they were just a few weeks old.  They have grown up around lots of kids, other dogs and farm animals.  They walk well on leash and are potty trained.  They all seem to be a little nervous with moving again to a new place but stating to warm up.  They are hound mixes and should not get much bigger than they are right now.  Great size dog for a family of any size. Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Arya is a sweet girl who wants to find a hooman/family who will be patient with her and help her come out of her shell.  Once she warms up, she loves butt scratches and being petted. She is unsure of new people and needs time. She is very treat motivated and that does help!     Arya will need a home with a yard. She is much better at going outside, but does not like noise or if it is too "peopley" as we call it although we have seen much improvement lately.  She especially likes going out at night when it is quiet and loves to do zoomies. She is really fast!  She is happiest when we have her out in our backyard with a taller fence where she feels more sheltered.    She does need to be supervised as she is interested in creative snacking outside.  She loves soft squeaky toys, crinkly toys chewing on bones, and is both house and crate trained.    She does fine sleeping loose in the house at night and has recently decided that sleeping in the bed with us is pretty great.    She isn't toooooo much of a bed hog. Arya is eating K/D prescription food. She does not have kidney issues, but her vet is recommending it due to the low sodium. She also is on an eye drop medication every twelve hours. She had been drinking excessive amounts of water, and after bloodwork and other tests, her vet started a trial of this in March. Arya showed a good response to the medication and will remain on it.    Arya's favorite place to sleep during the day is in a bed under my desk but loves other dog beds also.   For some reason she especially likes the small ones and curls herself up as small as possible to fit in them.  I believe she feels safe there. She does well with other dogs of all sizes, but occasionally can be dog selective and does not like to be disturbed when sleeping. Graduated from camp in 2024: Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”. Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!  ****************************************** Arya was surrendered to PRBJ when her family had to move but were not able to take her. She is a sweet cuddle bug that would enjoy living in home with or without kids. She does great with kids of all ages and is great with dogs and cats too! Arya is housebroken, crate trained, and she enjoys sleeping with her family or in her crate with the door open:) As she is a bit timid, a fenced backyard is required to give her a safe place to romp and play in. New owners are encouraged to hang out with her while in the yard and leash walk her to better socialize and acclimate her to new surroundings.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 10, 2026, 5:36 pm
