Story
Hurley is around a year and 2 months old, she’s believed to be a pit/lab mix. She grew up around 5 kids and has never been violent towards them. She does bark and act aggressive towards dogs she’s never met but once meeting them a few times she warms up to them and is friendly. We don’t know how she is with cats. She’s leash and house trained. She is very sweet towards humans, she loves jumping up and giving kisses. She loves Pup Cups. She will come with about a half month worth of food, a kennel, and a dog bed.

Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comShirley was born with a birth defect called a club paw, and when she came into Col. Potter the vet decided that leg was causing more harm than good and took it off. It doesn't bother Shirley a bit, she races around and jumps on couches and over ottomans and doesn't give it a second thought. She was surrendered to a big city shelter mostly because she didn't like the children she lived with: they were too unpredictable and wild and made her nervous. It's not that she doesn't like people, she loves everyone she meets, as long as they are grown people. Shirley loves to play with toys and keeps trying to play with the resident 15 year old westie, with limited success. She would be happy with a doggie sibling who likes to wrestle and play rough. Shirley has quickly become housebroken, no accidents in over a week. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and loves to go for walks. Don't let her 3-leggedness cause you concern, it causes her absolutely none. She is a wonderful dog!FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON SHIRLEY ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Shirley is being fostered in Raleigh, NC in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. Story
Look at this very handsome boy, Brady, who is presently seeking his forever home. This six year old male Golden Retriever is quite the active boy and a real love bug too! He is doing amazingly well in his foster home with three Golden Retrievers and another small breed dog. He loves walking with them, laying by their side and getting loads of hugs and kisses from his foster.. His former owner kept him pretty isolated so Brady is learning new things about the outside world at a later age. He is amazingly good in the house, walks well with his special leash, is a lover and likes kisses and loves to romp and play. He loves playing in the house with his buddies, does no counter surfing or jumping on furniture unless invited, of course, enjoys his bath and enjoys watching his buddies get baths too. He is excellent in the house, is totally housetrained, isn't too active there, barks when someone comes to the door so is an excellent watchdog but with a command from his foster, he sits right now and invites people in the front door and does equally well outside with no digging or trying to jump the fence.. Don't let his age of 6 years and size fool you-Brady is a puppy in an adult Golden coat!! He is very active and inquisitive. He does very well with other dogs and has lived with children in his former family's home but we recommend that be they no younger than 10 since he is such a large active boy. Brady is in excellent health-heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and wormed. He has an amazingly gorgeous coat that is thick and wavy, beautiful expressive eyes and a tail that loves to wag! Brady's new home should be with a fully fenced yard, someone who is home much of the time, maybe another large dog of the same size and age or he could be on "only" too, , no children under 10.and someone able to walk him daily and give his all the love and attention he so greatly deserves.. If you feel Brady is the boy for you, please complete an adoption application at www.greatrescue.org. Questions? Call 904-703-8348 or our Rescue Hotline at 904-501-6899. This boy is quite the charmer so don't wait too long-he's anxious to get on with his new family and life.

Story
Hello, my name is Mali and I’ll be 5 months May 24th! I am a Black Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) puppy! I love cuddles and play time! Squeaky toys and bones are my favorite thing to spend a lot of time on. Unfortunately, my mommy is a full-time college student while working full-time and doesn’t think it’s fair for me to be alone so many hours in the day. I am still working on my potty training but I’m almost there! I have 2/3 vaccines but my mom is able to provide the records for you! I have a cage, collar, leash, and toys that my mommy will provide you! Fun fact: I’m a Christmas Eve puppy! Please give my mommy a few days to look over your application!

Story
Beautiful, fun-loving, adventurous, active, healthy, loves affection-these are just some of the words we use to describe this very, very sweet, stunning boy whom we believe to be a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. In just his short life of only about 10-11 months,, he has relocated twice due to misfortune of his owners and is now enjoying the good life in an amazing foster home. Roscoe is quite the looker, as you can see, and he's quite active, adventurous and happy-go-lucky as every young puppy should be. He was surrendered to GREAT Rescue because his family had two other very large dogs and one was aggressive towards Roscoe so as difficult as it was, they felt it was best to place him in our Rescue where we would be able to find just the right home and family for this sweet fellow. Roscoe is heartworm negative, neutered, current on all vaccinations, wormed and micro-chipped and he is also eagerly awaiting his new forever home. He loves to snuggle on the sofa with his fosters, lay at their feet while they work on the computer or watch TV and also loves the attention they give him especially when they snuggle and tell him he's a good boy! Roscoe is housetrained and crate trained although he's much rather be in bed with his foster parents. He's still very much a puppy with all the endearing puppy antics such as loving to chew things so lots of Kong toys are a must for this active boy. He has a very soft mouth which means he takes things gently from your hand, loves chew toys, playing tug of war, loves his belly rubs and just enjoys doing things all puppies do. He enjoys watching TV and even barks at the dogs he sees there. He's still learning about different noises and is very inquisitive when hearing something new. He has learned basic commands, is a very loving boy, loves meeting people and enjoys the praise and attention they give him too. Who can blame him-he is such a gorgeous boy!!! Roscoe's new family should be very active, enjoy outdoor activities where he can join in the fun, a family member who is home much of the day so he can continue to learn good behavior, someone able to walk him daily because, being such a large dog, he needs that daily exercise, a fully fenced yard, no children under 8 because he is still learning and can jump at times and another large young dog for a companion and fun loving adventures. We do not know of his association with cats. If interested, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete/submit an application or if you have questions, please call 904-703-8348. A boy this gorgeous won't be available for long.

Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Luna is a super sweet Catahoula Leopard dog mixed with Aussie. She would love to find a forever home with a fenced yard, and another active, energetic dog to play with. Luna is a special needs dog because she needs help emptying her bladder. When she was just a young pup she and another dog got loose and went into a neighbor's yard where they were shot. The dog she was with was killed and she was shot in the back as she was running away. Thankfully she survived and is now recovered and can walk fine but she doesn't have any feeling back there, so she needs to wear diapers indoors, and she needs help expressing her bladder. We know that involves extra work, but it's not very difficult at all. We amputated her tail to make cleaning her easier. We're hoping you will open your heart to this super sweet, gorgeous, very special girl. If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover to ensure a good fit for everyone. ***Please note that we are a volunteer run organization, and due to the large volume of applications, inquiries, phone calls, emails, and messages received we may not be able to provide a personal response to every one. For that reason, formal applications will be given priority over the aforementioned.*** Adoption Process 1. Submit Application 2. Interview 3. Home Check 4. Meet the Pet The adoption fee for dogs 6 months and older is $150; this includes the spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccinations as of the date of adoption.
