Story
Are you looking for a dog with a big gummy smile who has a tongue with a mind of its own and a heart so filled with feelings he has to AWOO them out sometimes??? Well we have the man for you! Part muppet, part hound - Meet Philip! Philip has been doing great in his foster home healing from heartworm treatment, and his little perfectly well behaved and perfectly weirdo personality has finally come out. Phillip is crate and house trained. He is dog friendly, though some dogs can be way too much for his sensitive little soul, and he is also cat and even chicken friendly! Philip loves to play “hide and seek” and will creep up from another room on his foster brother, or even his foster parents, like a lion stalking its prey - he thinks he is a tough guy, and then pounce, or most often get caught mid stalk and then stop like, “what? Me? I wasn’t doing anything.” Philip doesn’t mind being carried and cuddled one bit, and will get so into it he will go rag doll limp with contentment. Phil makes his foster fam laugh daily with how unique his personality is and we have loved to be a part of watching this underweight, covered in ticks, heartworm positive, scared and overstimulated boy get to heal and be himself. Now it’s time we find his forever people to appreciate him for exactly who he is. Phil is 2-3 years old and 40lbs. Adopt happiness. Adopt Philip. August 3, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
Kiara was surrendered to us extremely ill. She spent days at the emergency vet where we truly did not know if she was going to make it. Now, Kiara is making a full recovery and is back to all the puppy antics she could dream of! She loves other animals and playing with them or lying right on top of them. She is a cuddley gal even with her hoomans. She knows basic commands and picks up on things super quickly. She has been such a good pup and will be ready to find her forever home in no time! Story
Some dogs walk into your life quietly… and some dogs come in like a goofy, dancing, ball-chasing, full-speed-ahead supermutt tornado. Meet Louie — a little dog with a BIG personality and an even bigger comeback story. Louie was rescued from a busy overpass in a neglected and traumatized condition. His journey didn’t end with rescue day… that was just the beginning. He has spent his time healing, learning, building confidence, and discovering that the world can be a pretty amazing place. Now? This guy is ready to show someone just how much love he has to give. Goofy? Absolutely. Dances when he’s excited? You bet. Chases balls like it’s his full-time career? Obviously. Runs FAST enough to make you question if he has a tiny rocket engine installed? Possibly. Loves naps and snuggles after his adventures? 100%. Louie does take a little time and space to warm up to new people. He doesn’t hand out trust to just anyone — he makes you earn your spot in his circle. But once you’re there… congratulations! You’ve unlocked the silly, affectionate, loyal Louie that makes us laugh every single day. He’s under 3 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. Imagine being the person who gets to show him what forever really means. Could YOU be Louie’s lucky forever home? Friend-selective small/medium dogs may be possible with the right match No cats, or kids please Louie is with Ayla's Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue, Inc.  in St. Augustine.  Learn more about adopting this hilarious, lovable, ball-flinging goofball: aylasacres.org Training and support provided through The PET Impact  — Partnership Enrichment Trainingwww.thepetimpact.com   ##2245130##

Story
Meet Brew 🤍 Brew is a 70-lb Husky/Airedale mix with one blue eye and the sweetest, funniest personality. He’s incredibly affectionate, loyal, vocal, and full of character. Brew LOVES his people and has the cutest habit of burying his head into you when he wants love. He’s playful and energetic, but underneath all of that personality he is a huge softie who just wants to be close to his family. He’s also protective of the people he loves and makes sure you always know exactly what he’s thinking—his Husky side definitely gave him a voice 😂 My biggest hope is to rehome Brew with Honey, my 85-lb Airedale. They have never lived apart and have always known life together, so keeping them together is incredibly important to me. I’m looking for a family who has the space, time, and love for both of them and will truly make them part of their family. This is not first-come, first-served. I want their next home to be their forever home. 🤍

Story
Nugget is a super sweet boy that loves to be by your side. Very loyal. We have had him since a young puppy (he’s 4 years old now) and had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to resource guarding with other dogs. He has bitten our family’s dog and our other dog related to bones and will guard his food. He has grown up with a human child that is 4 years old as well and hasn’t shown any aggression towards human, but has growled at her once. The ideal family for Nugget is where he is the only dog.
