This is Kirby. He’s is 4 (5 on oct 19). He is up to date and on heartworm preventative. He would do best as the only pet (he has some issues with his current siblings). He likes older kids! He is a big baby and loves to cuddle. He’s the best dog to hug ever. He does have some unspecified pain issues. (Current owner has meds but unable to afford sedation and X-rays). **Kirby is not at CCHS. If you are interested in learning more or adopting Kirby please email cchsshelter@yahoo.com. We will get you in contact with the owner**

Story
Meet Millie – A Gentle Soul Ready for Her Forever Home 🐾 Millie came into our shelter as a stray on August 12, 2025, after being on the run for some time. Sadly, no one came to reclaim her, but now she’s patiently waiting for her Gotcha Day – the day she finds her forever family. We estimate Millie is around 2 years old. She came in with a painful ear infection, which has since been treated, and she's now on the mend. She is current on her vaccinations and so ready to begin her next happy chapter of life. Millie is incredibly sweet but can be shy when meeting new people. She’s looking for a calm, patient home that will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and secure. She’ll need a gentle routine and someone who understands that trust is something she’ll build slowly—but once she bonds with you, her love is unconditional. High-value treats are the key to her heart and are great tools for helping her learn the ropes in a new environment. She’s not just looking for a home—she’s looking for a person/family to be her safe place and will help her settle in while feeling loved. This sweet and pretty girl deserves a family that sees her potential and is willing to give her the time she needs to shine. Could that be you? If you have a quiet home, a kind heart, and a little extra patience, Millie may be the perfect match for you. Come meet her and see if you’re meant to be her forever.

Meet Membrain! 🐾💛 This sweet boy came into the shelter as a stray on October 3, 2025, and sadly, no one ever came to reclaim him. But now he’s looking ahead to something better — his very own "gotcha day" and a forever home to call his own. Membrain is 1 year and 6 months old, neutered, and up to date on all his shots. Life hasn’t always been kind to him, but since coming into our care, his future is already looking brighter. His coat is growing back in, and he’s starting to feel as good on the outside as he does on the inside! He’s a happy, goofy guy with so much love and joy to share. He just needs a patient and caring owner who can give him the guidance and support he needs to settle into his new life. Could you be the one to give Membrain the fresh start he deserves? Come meet him today and see if you're the perfect match! 🐶💙

Meet Bubba!! On November 4, 2025, Bubba and his brother DOG were surrendered to Animal Control and brought into the shelter. These sweet boys are about 4½ months old, current on their vaccinations, and busy learning the ropes while they wait for their forever homes. Bubba is learning to walk on a leash (he came in the most unsure), practicing his puppy manners, and soaking up all the guidance and love our staff and volunteers can offer. Like any young pup, he’ll need an adopter who understands the commitment that comes with puppyhood—time, patience, consistency, and lots of love. With the right person or family Bubba is sure to grow into an amazing adult companion. This super-happy guy loves life and enjoys every bit of kindness and attention shared with him. Such a cutie'. Could you be the perfect home he’s been hoping for? Come meet Bubba today and see if he’s the match you’ve been waiting for! 🐾💛

Meet Oakley – Your New Adventure Buddy Oakley is a 1 year and 9 month old Siberian Husky mix with boundless energy and a heart full of love. Surrendered to us on 9/5/25 after his owner had to move, Oakley is now looking for a forever home where he can run, play, and thrive. He’s absolutely obsessed with fetch and will chase a ball with pure joy every chance he gets! This fun-loving and spirited pup is crate trained, housebroken, and great with kids and cats. While he may not be the best match for another male dog, Oakley’s personality shines brightest as the star of the show. He would thrive in an active household that can match his enthusiasm and give him the love and structure he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion to join you on all of life’s adventures, Oakley is ready to leap right into your heart!
