Story
Mike is the sweetest pup on the block! This handsome Rottweiler–Husky-Pit Bull mix is around a year old and has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him an absolute joy to be around. He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and truly just a good boy through and through. Mike loves to play—fetching balls is one of his favorite activities—and he’s especially attached to his pacifier toy. He gets along wonderfully with both cats and other dogs, making him a great fit for a multi-pet home. He’s currently learning to walk on a leash and picking up new commands, but he already does great with “wait” and takes treats ever so gently. He’s great on car rides and is kennel trained. Mike absolutely loves attention—he enjoys pets and is more than happy to be hugged and kissed. Mike is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworm. Adoption fee: $260 To adopt Mike, please submit an adoption application online. ##2716708##

Story
Hi! My name is Coco, I’m 3 years old and a real people person…err dog. I love people! I have other dog friends, but I prefer people. I like to play with my friends for a while, but I really love being with my people. I love walking around and playing with my people. We have such a good time. People call me medium sized, but I don’t let my size slow me down. I can fit on any lap if I really want too. Lol. I just want to be close to people. I want all the love and ear scratches I can get. I’d love a forever home so I can share all my love with someone that will love me right back. I’m heartworm negative too! Worms are so gross! If interested come to the Wilson County Animal Shelter today between 9am and 4pm (M-F) to do a meet and greet and fall in love with the most amazing and loving dog ON EARTH. Adoption fee is $114.

Story
Skye is a sweet and gentle dog with those she trusts. I am having to rehome her because she has became aggressive towards other dogs and I do not have the means to give her the environment or the training she needs to succeed in this time of her life. She has a bite history. She has bit one dog, it survived but she needs someone who can provide an environment where she will not be around or exposed to other dogs until she gets training for it. Ideally, she would go to an adult home, with a fenced yard, and a calm and stable routine. She has high anxiety around changes in her life/environment so someone who owns a home and won’t be moving any time soon is preferred. She is better with women than men. She absolutely needs to be the only pet. She has never been aggressive towards a person it’s only other dogs. She loves belly rubs, peanut butter and chewing on her antlers. She needs an experienced dog owner, please reach out with any questions, she really is a great dog!Located in Apex, NC

Story
Hi! My name is Xena and just like the fictional warrior from TV, I’m a force to be reckoned with. I’m a strong independent lady but that doesn’t mean I’m heartless. I love a good belly rub or ear scratch. I enjoy hanging out with my friends… when I’m not vanquishing my foes… mostly though I’m just a big softy. Laying around, cuddling up to someone for a good scratch is so nice. I’m good with other dogs, even the puppies that are always after me to teach them the ways of the warrior. Smh, silly little puppies. I’m housetrained and good on a leash. I’m 11 years old and in these late years and after many battles I just want a place to rest, reflect, and spend time with someone that loves me. If interested come to the Wilson County Animal Shelter today between 9am and 4pm (M-F) to do a meet and greet and fall in love with this amazing warrior and help her hang her shield up forever. Adoption fee is $114.
