Story
Kimo is a very sweet dog but his girl adopted him from a shelter after being told he would max out at 35 lbs and can't properly care for this big guy. He has small dog friends (his best friend is a 3lb pom) and a really old orange cat pal. Used to have a 55 lb Husky friend to play with outside but the husky friend moved out state with their kid for school. Loves the outdoors, playing with toys, standing on his igloo, going for walks, and getting scritches. Very submissive personality. Knows some basic commands, definitely food motivated and trainable.

Story
I adopted Tanner from the Wake County animal shelter when he was 2 years old. He just turned 8 years old this year but you wouldn't know it. He still gets the zoomies and sprints around the yard at full speed until he tires and loves playing tug of war with a rope. When I take him to the dog park people ask me how old he is thinking he's a puppy and are startled when I tell them he's a senior. He gets along great with other dogs, loves kids and people, and never barks inside the house (he does bark outside though). Tanner is a very low maintenance pup. I've never had to put him in a crate, He doesn't chew up furniture or belongings and can hold his pee all day until I get back from work. He's handsome, he's always been healthy, his coat is soft and he does't smell bad like some other dogs. Unfortunately my girlfriend is severely allergic to dogs and we can't live together until Tanner finds a new home, otherwise I would spend many more years with this happy pup.

Story
Juju is a sweet and well-tempered 5-year-old dog we adopted from the Northampton Animal Shelter (North NC) to save him from being euthanized due to overcrowding. He has been an incredible companion and gets along wonderfully with our Husky, who is usually very selective about other dogs. Juju is down to do anything, he's just happy to tag along. While Juju has early signs of hip dysplasia and arthritis, he hasn’t shown any signs of pain or discomfort so far. However, he does have some behavioral challenges, such as chewing household items and occasional accidents, which is why he is crated when we’re not home or at night. Unfortunately, with my night shifts and my girlfriend’s demanding travel schedule, Juju spends far too much time in his crate. Given his condition, we feel our current lifestyle isn’t fair to him. Juju would thrive in with someone who works from home or has a consistent schedule to allow him more free time out of the crate and proper training.

Story
Walnut was found in a field off the side of a road. According to a passerby she was dumped with 3 siblings. The other siblings were each taken in by good samaritans but Walnut was not very trusting and if approached she ran away. We went back several days for a couple of weeks bringing food for her. We were worried for her because it was getting cold. One day we took food to her & she finally let us get close enough to get a leash over her head. We took her home with the intentions of providing shelter & food until we could find her a home. She is very sweet & wants to be loved so badly. She is adjusting to leash walking. She did lick all over my grandson so i believe she is good with kids. She is still a little timid at first but is soon doing a full body wag for your attention. It broke my heart for her being out in the freezing temps. But this wasn't a permanent solution. Financially I am not able to provide a permanent home for this poor puppy. She appears to be under a year old.
