Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Daisy is the sweetest, most lovable dog! We hate to get rid of her but she does not get along with our hyperactive Vizsla and we just had a baby so it is just too much right now. She LOVES people and toys! She knows sit, lay down, down, roll over and toy commands. She thinks she is a lap dog and will cuddle right up to you. The first time we met her she melted at our feet and rolled on her back for belly rubs. She loves to play and go on (leashed) walks! She has no health issues at all. She will eat human food if left unattended (including an open trash can) and she is a little escape artist and can slide by any cracked door but other than that she is really a dream dog. We have literally hundreds of pictures, feel free to request more!

Boxer Mixed Breed (Medium)

Zebulon, NC
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bradley is a sweet, funny and goofy boy. He loves to play with his ball. He was pulled from a kill shelter and has been living with other dogs. He was quite underweight when he came into the sanctuary, so we are working hard to help him gain weight. Bradley is sure to be your best active companion. If you don't live an active lifestyle, he may not be the dog for you. Bradley can go home after his neuter on April 12, 2023. Ideally, we would like a foster to adopt situation. If you are interested in Bradley, we'd like to place him in your care until he's ready for adoption. This allows us to make sure you both love each other and it is the forever home he is looking for. There are requirements that must be met in order to qualify to foster to adopt. Bradley needs to be the only dog/ only animal in the home.

Boxer Mixed Breed (Large)

Male, adult , Special Needs
Zebulon, NC
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hardy is a lover of his person. He was pulled from a kill shelter in North Carolina and by the third day he had already formed an attachment to "mom". He was underweight when pulled from the shelter so we are working to help him gain wait. He has started learning sit and down and has almost mastered these commands. He is dog selective and walks very well on a leash. He needs an experienced adopter who is familiar and can deal with a dog with potential separation anxiety. He also has some food aggression towards other dogs. We can't blame him as thin as he was when we found him. We are working to see if this resolves once he realizes he no longer has to compete for food. Hardy is heartworm positive which the rescue will treat. He has done well with this. He is a calm gentle giant. He tends to get along better with female dogs or small dogs. No dominant alpha males for Hardy. Please email nchappytailssanctuary@gmail.com for more information. We do require an adoption application, however we are a non judgmental rescue.

Morgan Pawlen is the bestest boy. He was pulled from a NC kill shelter. It is clear he had a family before as he is very housetrained. He sits quietly when left alone somewhat,. He may bark or whine a bit but it's not excessive. Morgan needs someone who will let him cuddle, play with him, and have a large fenced in yard for him to do his zoomies.

Story
Hi, this is Miss Lilo who is about 9 months old. She’s a very sweet girl who is looking for a furrever home & someone who can teach her some puppy manners & to be patient with her since she is very shy/skittish. I would love to keep her but due to complications I’m having in my health she needs someone who can be right by her side throughout most of the day. She does seem hesitant with men, and she seems to quickly latch onto only one person. Once she gets to know you you’ll be her bestfriend. She loves to play but wants to be right beside you always. She’s up to date on all her vaccines & has her monthly flea & heart worm prevention.
