Story
Meet Lucy! This beautiful 7-year-old Husky is the perfect mix of sweet, social, and easygoing. Lucy loves meeting new people and greets everyone with her relaxed and friendly personality. She’s the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the action but is also happy to just hang out and enjoy your company.Lucy can do well with other dogs who understand her playful Husky personality. She can be a little mouthy and very vocal when she gets excited, so she’ll need canine friends who are tolerant and confident around her communication style. True to her breed, Lucy loves to “talk” and express herself! Lucy however has not been known to do well with cats - she is a bit too interested in chasing them around.Like many huskies, Lucy can become destructive in the home without proper exercise and stimulation. We have also been told that she is not a huge fan of going up and down stairs, but it`s possible she could get used to them with a bit of patience and encouragement. All in all, Lucy is a very sweet lady who will thrive in a home where her husky mannerisms are understood and appreciated. If you`re looking for a talkative, mature, and beautiful companion, look no further!

Story
Don`t let Calzone`s tough guy exterior fool you - behind his big meaty head is a very sweet and sensitive boy who is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.Calzone can be very shy and nervous around new people and unfamiliar environments, so he’ll need time, patience, and gentle encouragement to help build his confidence and trust. Because of his timid nature, Calzone would do best with adopters who understand that progress may come slowly and are willing to let him move at his own pace. A calm, quiet, and predictable home would help him feel most comfortable.Because Calzone was picked up as a stray, his past is a bit of a mystery. His history with cats is unknown. He may do okay with quiet, respectful children who can understand his need for space and patience. He may also do well with calm, respectful dogs after slow and proper introductions. If you’re willing to give a shy dog the time he needs to blossom, Calzone could become a deeply loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Meet Butterscotch Ripple, a wiggly, kiss-powered chaos noodle with the athletic ability of a sled dog and the emotional stability of someone who just spotted a chicken nugget. At first glance, she may play it a little shy, but give her approximately three seconds and one snack and she transforms into your overly affectionate best friend. Butterscotch greets people with full-body wiggles, enthusiastic face kisses, and absolutely no understanding of personal space. She knows several cues including sit, down, and paw, which she proudly demonstrates whenever treats are involved — and treats are always involved, because this girl would sell state secrets for a snack. She’s active, curious, and extremely enthusiastic about walks, by which we mean she currently approaches leash walking like she’s trying to qualify for the Iditarod. A harness has already helped, and she responds beautifully to positive reinforcement training. She’s smart, eager to learn, and would likely thrive in training classes where she can show off both her brains and her ability to inhale treats at record speed.Butterscotch has done well meeting other dogs, greeting politely and then moving on to important business like sniffing the room and investigating countertops she absolutely believes belong to her. Future adopters should know she may be a bit of a counter surfer, mostly because she firmly believes all unattended food is community property.Once comfortable, she is affectionate, goofy, and wonderfully nosy. She loves attention, enjoys petting all over, and has perfected the art of putting her paws up dramatically while demanding love. Apartment living could work for her as long as she gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to use both her brain and her zoomies.Butterscotch Ripple is looking for an active home that appreciates a dog who is equal parts sweetheart, personal trainer, and unlicensed kitchen inspector.

Story
Hi. Yes. Hello. It is I… Mr. Pickles. Please hold your applause (or don’t, I love attention). I’m a 3-year-old professional goofball with a heart full of love and approximately twelve million beans of energy. I might look like a simple guy, but I contain multitudes—mostly zoomies, enthusiasm, and an undying passion for snacks. I’ll be honest with you… when I first meet you, I might play it a little cool. A little “who, me?” moment. But the SECOND we’re hanging out together? Oh. You’ve unlocked full Pickles mode. I am wiggly. I am kissy. I am suddenly in your lap like I was invited there (I always assume I was invited). Personal space? Never heard of her. Now let’s talk about my hobbies: Walking? AMAZING. I just get very excited about it. So excited that I sometimes forget we’re supposed to go together and instead try to power-walk us into the next dimension. It’s a work in progress, okay? I’ve got strong legs and big dreams. Food? Oh wow. Yes. Huge fan. Big supporter. I eat like I’ve been personally challenged to finish it as fast as possible. Don’t worry—I’m polite about sharing space and all that, I just… really love snacks. Deeply. Spiritually. Other dogs? LOVE THEM. Especially the ones who want to run around with me, maybe get hip checked a couple of time on the way and can keep going! I’m a fun guy who can run and play, but I also appreciate a little balance in the friendship.I’ve got some learning to do—things like keeping all four paws on the ground and remembering that hands are not snacks when I get excited—but I’m a smart cookie and very motivated to figure it all out (especially if you happen to be holding treats… just saying). At the end of the day, I’m just a big, silly, loving dude who wants to be part of your life. I’ll make you laugh, keep you moving, and absolutely cover you in affection whether you asked for it or not. So… what do you say? You, me, snacks, and a lifetime of adventures?

Story
French Vanilla is the kind of dog who walks into a room like she’s had three shots of espresso and fully intends to use every ounce of that energy making friends, chasing toys, and turning ordinary moments into a party. Honestly, whoever named her missed a golden opportunity, because this girl is all caffeine-fueled enthusiasm wrapped up in a sweet, wiggly body and a constantly wagging tail. She absolutely lives for playtime. Toss a toy, pick up a ball, or even look like you might be considering a game of fetch, and suddenly you are her favorite person in the world. She throws herself into life with her whole heart, whether she’s zooming around the yard, proudly carrying a toy, or trying to convince every dog she sees that they should immediately become best friends. She’s smart, eager, and full of personality, but she’s still learning that not every exciting moment requires launching herself around like a tiny tornado. Walks can turn into full-body celebrations when she spots other dogs, and she’ll need a patient adopter willing to help her build better leash manners and learn that calm greetings are a thing.Underneath all that wild-child energy is an incredibly loving dog who truly just wants connection, fun, and someone who understands her zest for life. She would thrive with an active home ready to embrace training as part of the adventure and laugh along with her goofy, over-the-top excitement. A playful canine companion who can match her energy and tolerate her dramatic enthusiasm could be a wonderful fit for her too.French Vanilla may not know much about slowing down yet, but she does know how to make people smile. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and love you with absolutely everything she’s got, this energetic little espresso bean might just be your perfect match.

Story
Hi, I’m Benji. I’m a very large gentleman with an even larger collection of feelings, most of which currently revolve around “what was that noise?” and “should we maybe… leave?”I’ll be honest with you—I’m a sensitive soul. New places and sudden movements can make me jumpy, and I tend to keep my ears back, my tail tucked, and my eyes scanning like I’m in a spy movie I didn’t audition for. I might hesitate at first, put on the brakes during walks, or try to politely suggest we exit the building immediately. But if you give me a moment (and maybe a piece of freeze-dried salmon), I’ll gather my courage and keep going. I do walk nicely on leash, though I’m a big boy with the strength to pull if I get worried, so I’ll need someone steady on the other end who can help me feel safe and continue my training.Once I realize you’re not here to ruin my day, I’m actually very sweet. I might not climb into your lap right away, but I’ll lean into you for comfort when I’m unsure—think of me as a “side hug” kind of guy. I let people handle my paws, check my ears, and give me pets all over, even if I’m a bit wiggly about it at first. I know how to sit, and while I’m currently too stressed to show off much more, I’m a smart cookie who will learn with patience and encouragement.I can be a bit unsure around new people and dogs, sometimes barking to say, “Hey, I need space!” but I don’t mean any harm. With calm introductions, I’ve shown I can coexist just fine, especially with relaxed, respectful dog friends. I’ve lived with other big dogs before and did well, and I’ve also lived with kids—though due to my size and occasional clumsy enthusiasm, I might accidentally knock over the smaller humans just by turning around.A few important things about me: I don’t love car rides yet (they make me nervous), I may bark at things passing by the yard, and I have been known to sample items that are… not technically food. So I’ll need guidance, supervision, and some positive reinforcement to help me make better life choices.I’m not suited for apartment living—I need a quieter environment where I can decompress and build confidence at my own pace. What I really need is a patient, understanding human who sees past my nerves and recognizes the very good boy underneath. Someone who will celebrate my small wins, help me feel safe, and remind me that the world isn’t quite as scary as I think it is.I’ve been here before as a puppy and had to come back
