Story
Meet Tallulah – A True Survivor Searching for Her Safe Place If you have been following our journey, you may remember Tallulah—the beautiful mama dog we found eating trash by the side of the road. When we approached her, she did not run. Instead, with extraordinary trust and heart, she led us straight to her hidden babies. Because of Tallulah’s courage and gentle spirit, we were able to save her entire little family. Now, it is Tallulah’s turn to be cared for. This sweet, soulful girl has recently been diagnosed with heartworm and is also healing from a painful ear infection. She is looking for a foster-to-adopt home where she can rest, recover, and finally receive the unconditional love she has always given so freely to others. Tallulah is dog-friendly, wonderful with children and all humans, and the definition of a gentle, affectionate companion. She loves to snuggle, play, and simply be close to the people she trusts. After everything she has endured, Tallulah deserves a soft place to land—a quiet, loving home where she can heal and be reminded that she is safe. Her current foster can no longer keep her, and we are urgently searching for someone willing to step in and offer Tallulah the second chance she so deeply deserves. If you can open your heart and home to this incredible dog, please apply today. Giving Tallulah a safe space to heal is not just fostering—it is truly saving a life. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
Meet Venus – The Brightest Star in the Sky, Looking for Her Orbit Venus is a young, radiant pup whose love burns as bright as her name suggests. With legs built for zoomies and a heart made for cuddles, she’s a silly, snuggly, and sweet soul still learning the ropes of this world—but she’s already lighting up every room she enters. Found as a puppy and now thriving in foster care, Venus is dog-friendly and plays beautifully with pups who match her intergalactic energy. She’s curious about cats and may give them a playful chase, but it’s all in good fun. At night, she tucks herself into her crate like a sleepy star and sleeps soundly through to morning. She walks well on a leash—especially with a harness to help her remember she’s not a rocket ship—and she’s incredibly smart and food motivated. Redirection comes easy when there’s a treat in sight. Like any young explorer, Venus is still working on a few things. She’s learning to be fully potty trained, to keep her paws off the counter, and to feel secure when new people enter her orbit—especially when she’s snuggled close to her person. Thanks to a steady routine and a bit of anxiety support, she’s already making amazing progress. Venus would thrive in a calmer home, ideally with a confident canine companion to guide her and a human who’s ready for the joy (and occasional chaos) that comes with a young dog still learning to navigate the galaxy. Venus has the charm, the brains, and the love—you just have to be her landing spot. Could you be the one to help her shine? Apply today to foster or adopt Venus and give this rising star the forever she deserves. Adoption is $325, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
Introducing Rafiki: A Gentle Soul Seeking a Tranquil Sanctuary Meet Rafiki, a truly special boy who brings love and resilience in equal measure. Surrendered to us after being found as a stray, Rafiki's journey has been one of courage and triumph over challenges. Despite a rough start with untreated seizures, his spirit remains unbroken, and he’s now looking for a calm, loving environment to call home. Rafiki’s Needs: Rafiki's seizures are now 98% under control, thanks to dedicated care and medical attention. However, he thrives in a peaceful setting as too much activity can increase his seizure activity. A home without other pets or with just one other calm dog would be ideal for him, ensuring he remains relaxed and happy. What Makes Rafiki Special? Aside from his brave heart, Rafiki is house trained, crate trained, and wonderfully nondestructive—though he has a soft spot for a good stuffie! His favorite pastimes are snuggling on the couch and playing with his collection of squeaky toys and benebones. He even takes his beloved stuffies with him when he goes out to potty, showing just how much they mean to him. The Ideal Home for Rafiki: Rafiki's perfect match would be someone who appreciates the joys and the challenges of caring for a special needs dog. He needs a serene home where he can relax deeply and bond with his caregiver. A fenced backyard is essential for him to safely enjoy the outdoors. Why Choose Rafiki? Choosing to love Rafiki means embracing his uniqueness and providing him with the stability and care he needs to manage his health. In return, Rafiki offers unwavering companionship, endless cuddles, and a reminder of the impact of compassion and resilience. If you’re looking for a quiet companion and aren’t afraid of a little special in your life, Rafiki might just be the dog for you. His calm demeanor and loving nature make him a wonderful addition to a peaceful household. Ready to provide a sanctuary for Rafiki? His journey could lead to your doorstep, transforming both his life and yours. APPLY to FOSTER or ADOPT: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt rebeldogsdetroit.com/becomeafoster

Ruby is dog fighting survivor - but also a romantic little girl with a heart of gold. Her favorite thing in the world is to get her belly tickled.
