Uzi is an amazing dog. Full of energy, loves all pets and children. He would do well with a fenced yard as his breed can wander. Unfortunately my job has me traveling and he doesn’t do well in hotel rooms.

His favorite hobbies include: • Perfecting the “puppy eyes” look for treats 🥺 • Curling up in your lap (even if he has to pretend he’s still a tiny baby) • Making you laugh with his goofy grin and happy-go-lucky zoomies • Exploring the great outdoors like a tiny, four-legged adventurer 🌿🐾 Flick’s dream home? One where he can soak up all the love — and we mean all of it. He’d like to be your one-and-only furry friend, so he can keep the spotlight right where it belongs… on him. If you’re ready for endless cuddles, daily smiles, outdoor adventures, and a best friend who will always be your #1 fan, Flick is ready to flick his way right into your heart. ❤️ 📍 Adopt Flick and make your home his forever stage!

Story
Meet Reba! This sweet girl was unfortunately dealt a tough start to life where she was chained in the backyard and neglected to a point where her collar had to be surgically removed from her neck. The sweet girl has made incredible strides in her life since then and we know the right family will leave all her bad memories in the past and fill up her future with only love. We’ve made up a list for what this special girl would like in a forever home: -An active home with lots of walks and time to play ball. -I am crate trained but it’s not my favorite place so I would love to sleep in bed and cuddle on the couch with you. -Older kids would be best since I can be a little hyper I might knock a little one down. -She is open to having a doggy sibling but no cats If interested in applying for Reba, please fill out an application on our website. She can’t wait to meet you!

Story
**Video of him can be seen on our Facebook page here.** OREO is simply a "happy go lucky" pup! He loves affection from people and other dogs. He's a young adult and was rescued by police when he was lost. OREO is very trusting of people and makes friends wherever he goes! He would be a best fit in a home with an active lifestyle willing to provide Oreo with both mental and physical stimulation. He is super eager to please whomever his handler is for the day. Online Dog Adoption Forms: : https://wacshelter.com/adopt-a-dog/ Website for general questions: www.wacshelter.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wacshelter/ Email: wacvolunteers@gmail.com ** Be sure to check out our FACEBOOK page for day to day updates on our cats and dogs. Canine adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter Age appropriate vaccinations Deworming Flea prevention (if required) Heartworm screening/monthly prevention ** Volunteer dog walkers work with our dogs 7 days a week. What your adoption fee also includes is housetraining, leash walking and a good understanding of the kind of home each dog would thrive in. ADOPTION FEE: $ 150 "People who say money can't buy you happiness, have never paid an adoption fee...." IS THIS DOG SAFE WITH CATS? There is almost always an acclimation period when a new pet joins the household. We are happy to suggest a few ways to ease the transition. If one of our dogs is reported to have lived with cats previously, that will be indicated in the dog's description! IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS? No dog loves every other dog, just as humans do not like every other human they meet. A proper introduction (meet and greet) would be required as part of our application process. IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH CHILDREN? The better question is how the children have been taught to handle animals. A dog will respond negatively if he/she is not being handled properly. We can offer suggestions on how to teach children to interact with dogs and pay attention to body language. Young children should never be left unsupervised with new dogs. WHY IS THIS DOG IN THE SHELTER? The top reasons dogs are given up are: Moving without considering the needs of the pets Death of the owner with no plan in place for the pets Previous owner did not provide appropriate training Owner did not consider the lifespan of a dog Owner did not consider the cost of providing for a dog
