Story
Ahh… come sit with me a moment, won’t you? My name is Bowser, and I am an old soul in a very large body. A senior gentleman, if you please. The kind who prefers a leisurely walks in the park, spending the day resting in bed, and soaking up every bit of attention from those lucky enough to know me. People tell me I`m good company! Now, I should clear something up right away: I am an XXL fellow. A grand, towering lad. My photos try their best, but they simply cannot capture the presence of me. When I stand beside you, you will understand. With this size comes strength, and when I go for my beloved walks, I can be a bit… enthusiastic. The leash and I are still negotiating our relationship and I have been working hard on my leash skills with volunteers. I do love my strolls, though, and nothing makes me happier than fresh air and the world passing by. Despite my silvering years, I still have plenty of wiggle left in these old bones. When excitement strikes, I may forget my manners and pop up to say hello, purely out of joy, I assure you. And yes… I do have opinions, especially when treats are involved. If I feel I am being ignored, I may politely (or not-so-politely) remind you with my voice. What can I say? I like to talk. A gentleman must advocate for himself, after all.I am looking for a home that understands both my size and my heart - someone strong enough to handle my body, patient enough to earn my trust, and kind enough to love a big, silly old boy who still believes life has good chapters left to tell. I would prefer to be the only pet in your home, and I think in my senior years I deserve to get what I want! If you have room in your home, and your heart, for a towering gentleman like me, I would be honored to spend my golden years by your side.

Story
Atlas here. The tall, handsome shepherd with the intense stare and the dramatic “stranger danger” commentary package included at no extra charge. I take my job of supervising the world very seriously, and sometimes I can come in a little… strong. Okay, very strong. But underneath all the barking and tough-guy energy is a smart young dog still figuring out that not every new person, sound, or situation is actually a top-secret security threat. The truth is, once I decide you’re one of my people, I’m loyal to the core. I want to be near you, learn with you, and tackle life as a team. I’m active, intelligent, and always paying attention, which means I’ll thrive with someone who understands shepherd brains and appreciates that I’m not the kind of dog who comes pre-programmed and effortless. I need guidance, patience, and someone confident enough to help me feel safe while I learn the world isn’t quite so suspicious.I can be particular about certain handling and I appreciate people who respect my space and listen to what I’m comfortable with. Building trust with me is important, and when you do, you’ll see a completely different side of me emerge. I’m not looking for someone to “dominate” me — I’m looking for someone steady, experienced, and kind who can help me channel all this big shepherd energy into being the best version of myself. If you’ve got an active lifestyle, are shepherd savvy, and has room in your heart for a young dog with huge potential and an even bigger personality, I just might be your guy. Bonus points if you appreciate a loyal shadow who will proudly patrol the house like it’s his full-time career.

Story
Hi, I`m Tabby, and despite my name (and one very cat-like habit), I can confirm that I am, in fact, 100% dog.I`m a 2-year-old, large brindle beauty with a heart that`s a little shy at first. Meeting new people can be scary, so I like to take things slow. But if you`re patient and let me warm up at my own pace, you`ll unlock my secret feature: I transform into a giant cat! That`s right—I love rubbing against my favorite people for affection, and I might just lean into you until you can`t remember what personal space is.I came to the shelter as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery. Was I a secret agent? A squirrel detective? A professional couch warmer? We`ll probably never know. What I do know is that food is amazing. Treats? Even better. If snacks are involved, I`ll happily show off my impressive skills, including `sit` and `down.` Honestly, if you have cookies, we`re already halfway to being best friends. Here`s what my future family should know:- Treats are the fastest way to my heart.- Patience earns endless cat-like affection.-I could do well with respectful dogs who understand that introductions don`t have to be a speed run.- I am unknown with children, but I may do well with dog-savvy children who can give me the time and space I need to feel safe.- Cats? Your guess is as good as mine—we just haven`t met any yet.If you`re looking for a dog who`s equal parts gentle soul, snack enthusiast, and undercover feline, I might just be your perfect match. Give me a little time, a few treats, and a comfy place to call home, and I`ll reward you with loyal companionship, endless love, and the occasional impression of a 70-pound house cat.Come meet me—you bring the treats, and I`ll bring the purr-sonality.

Story
George is a happy-go-lucky guy who hasn’t let a recent change in life circumstances slow him down. Surrendered through no fault of his own, he arrived at the shelter with some skin issues that may be related to allergies or sensitivities, but through it all he has remained cheerful, affectionate, and eager to make new friends. This handsome boy is highly food motivated, knows his sit and down cues, and would love a family who enjoys rewarding good behaviour with treats. He eats with great enthusiasm and would benefit from a slow feeder to help pace his meals. George also enjoys carrying and chasing ball-type toys and is always happy to soak up attention from the people around him.George has lived successfully with other dogs and can do well with canine companions who are calm, respectful, and willing to let him warm up at his own pace. He may give a warning if another dog is too forward, but he communicates appropriately and prefers peaceful interactions. Cats and small animals are not a good fit for George’s home.George is a high energy dog and will need daily exercise to keep him happy and healthy. After he has had his fill of excitement, he does settle well when left alone in a crate. He rides calmly in the car and is gentle and easygoing with handling. George can be strong on leash when he get excited by something, so continued work on leash training would benefit him. With his sweet nature, playful spirit, and love of treats and toys, George is ready to bring plenty of joy to his next family.

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful 7-year-old Husky with the perfect blend of sweetness, confidence, and charm. Friendly and easygoing, she loves meeting new people and greets everyone with a relaxed, happy attitude. Whether she`s joining in on the fun or simply hanging out by your side, Lucy is happiest when she`s spending time with her people. She is currently in a foster home with children and adores them. Lucy is currently thriving in a foster home with children and has proven to be a wonderful family companion. She can also do well with other dogs who appreciate her playful Husky personality. When she`s excited, Lucy can be a little mouthy and very vocal - true to her breed, she loves to `talk` and express herself! She`ll do best with confident, tolerant canine friends who understand her enthusiastic communication style.Lucy is not a good match for a home with cats, as her instinct to chase is simply too strong.Like many Huskies, Lucy needs regular exercise and mental enrichment to stay happy. Without enough activity, she can become destructive, and she appears to experience some mild separation anxiety. Fortunately, she`s wonderful on leash, settles nicely after getting her energy out, and is fully house trained.Lucy is a loving, mature girl who will truly shine in a home that understands and embraces classic Husky traits. If you`re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate companion with plenty of personality - and don`t mind a few conversations along the way - Lucy could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Meet Quincy!Quincy is the total package: affectionate, playful, and always ready to make a new friend. This sweet girl greets people with a wiggly body, loves leaning in for pets, and is happiest when she`s spending time with her favourite humans. She walks fairly well on leash, knows how to sit for treats, and is highly motivated by food, toys, and attention. One of Quincy`s greatest loves is a good bouncy ball. She`ll happily carry one around in her mouth and invite everyone she meets to join in the fun. Because she can be reluctant to give up a prized ball, trading for a treat or another toy works best, and her future family can continue building her `drop it` skills.Quincy has met other dogs well at the shelter, showing friendly and respectful social skills, but she does have a history of conflict with an intact male dog in her previous home. While she may be able to live with another dog, careful introductions and consideration of the other dog`s personality will be important. Due to her history and prey drive, Quincy would do best in a home without small dogs, cats, or other small animals. If you`re looking for a loving, playful companion who enjoys cuddles just as much as a game of fetch, Quincy may be the perfect match for you. This keeps the tone positive while clearly communicating her ideal home environment.
