Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kane is very kind dog who suffers from separation anxiety. Though he is house trained he will sometimes pee in the hose when he is left alone. Because he does not like being left alone he is usually crated while we are gone so he is used to being in a crate. He is very mild mannered and loves to cuddle. He prefers to be around small dogs but gets alone well with all dogs.

Story
Siren (also goes by Lady) is such a sweetheart! She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in a car, is very treat motivated, and responds well to verbal corrections. She loves to sleep in her own bed and eats her food at her own pace. She can be a little clumsy and goofy, but has all the best snuggles, and the happiest smile! She is so curious and wants to be a part of everything you do, but curls up and naps when she is left home alone. Siren is GREAT with kids 7 and older, GREAT with other large dogs after proper introductions, but is not so good with smaller dogs or cats (as she has a strong prey drive, and unknown around smaller children, but not recommended around babies due to her desire to be so close to humans). She does fabulously in the car for long drives. She would make a great addition to a family with kids around 7+ years old, and would do well with another dog!~All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (if at least 7 months old), and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. We do our best to update information on adoptable pets as frequently as we can. If you’re interested in a specific pet, we recommend that you call the shelter and ask if he or she still is available. Adoption questionnaires are processed in the order in which they're received.
For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Just look at that face! Harley is a smart, sweet, active and snuggly girl looking for her fur-ever home. She's house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and loves to swim! She's met other dogs and would probably do best with one close to her size with the same high energy level. A home with older children and no cats would be best. A wonderful family has sponsored her adoption fee. Harley is currently in a foster home, so if you are interested in her, please fill out an application today so we can set up a meeting for you.
For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meadow is a sweet dog around 4 years of age. She is a bit of a wallflower when not comfortable, so go slow with her and she will cuddle right up to you. Meadow has not found the joy in treats or toys yet but if you think you can show, her come visit her today! Meadow did test heartworm positive and FAMD will cover the cost of treatment, but she will need an adopter who can commit to taking her to her appointments and keeping her as low energy as possible during the entire process.
For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org.
