Story
Well now, name’s Boss. Eight years on this earth, and I’ve seen a thing or two. Back in my day, dogs knew the value of a good long walk and a patch of grass to sniff, and by golly, I still do. Don’t let this old frame fool ya—I’ve got plenty of gas left in the tank. I’ll trot along with you just fine, though if I catch the scent of something real interesting, you best hang on tight.I’m your classic old-soul pup — loyal, loving, and wise enough to know what I like. I adore my humans and enjoy spending time with them, but I also appreciate a little “me time” now and then. I’m not one to make a fuss — as long as you respect my personal space when I’m relaxing or enjoying my favorite toys or bones, we’ll get along perfectly! I might let you know I`m uncomfortable if you`re overbearing or in my bubble, but I`m just asking for a little respect, that`s all. As for other dogs, I don’t mind ‘em if they mind themselves. Respectful, quiet types I can tolerate. But mealtime? Best me and my dog friend have separate areas, I love my food and I`m not the biggest fan of sharing, y`know? Now don’t go thinking I’m all grumble and no gumption. I can still be playful when the spirit moves me—toss me a toy and I’ll show you I’ve got some tricks left yet. And if you’ve got strong hands for a proper rump scratch, well, sonny, you’ll have yourself a friend for life.I`m currently being fostered by a wonderful foster family who love me so much. They have lots of great things to say about me and think I`m a very fun, sweet, and silly boy. I`m even good with their cat friend!! We`re buddies :) So if you’re after a seasoned fella with some spunk, a little sass, and a whole lotta love, hitch up your britches and come meet me. The name’s Boss—and I reckon I’ll live up to it.See Boss on Tiktok! https://tinyurl.com/9bfmevkz

Story
Figgie Smalls is a sweet, slightly bashful puppy who came in with his sister, Figgie Pudding, but is now ready to headline his own home. He doesn’t need to be adopted with her—he’s fully prepared for his solo debut. He starts off a little unsure in new situations, sticking close to his person until he decides the world isn’t so scary after all. He accepts handling politely, leans in for affection, and walks nicely on leash once things quiet down. Figgie loves treats with great enthusiasm (sometimes nibbling fingers by accident), eats his meals quickly, and is learning that he doesn’t have to gulp everything at record speed. He’s easygoing with chews but still perplexed by toys, preferring to side-eye them thoughtfully from a safe distance. With people, he may hesitate at first but warms up into a wiggly, gentle friend who’s eager to connect. With dogs, however, he’s a bit unsure—offering some big, brave barks while his tail tries to decide how it feels about things. He’ll need thoughtful, patient introductions and guidance to learn that other dogs can be no big deal. With the right guidance he has the potential to make some doggy friends.Figgie did great for his medical check up and handles new places best with a trusted human nearby. He’d do well in a calm home where if there are children, they should are respectful and dog savvy. He would likely do ok with cats if given proper introductions and the cats know their way around a dog. At heart, he’s a cuddly, treat-loving sidekick looking for someone who can help him build confidence and enjoy the world one gentle step at a time.

Story
I’m a 5-year-old Lab boy with a big heart, a big smile, and a whole lot of love to give. Life has been a little confusing lately—I came to the shelter after my owner couldn`t care for me anymore, but I know he loved me so so much and told me `Vegas, you`re a good boy and deserve a good life. I want to give you that chance, even if things might be confusing at first`. And so I ended up here, a bit out of sorts, but feeling better as I get to spend more time with people. I used to live with another senior dog named Charlie. He was a bit stressed here without me around, so the humans felt it best to keep us together. I know it`s harder for people to consider adopting 2 larger dogs, but we will keep each other busy and it will be double the love in your home!! What`s better than that??I love people. Like… a lot. I’m the kind of dog who will lean into you, melt into cuddles, and stay there for hours if you let me.When I’m excited (which is often), I might jump up or get a little mouthy—but I’m just trying to say hi!Being alone can make me worried, and sometimes I chew things to help myself feel better. But I can settle after a while—I think I just don`t want to be alone for the whole entire day you know? I`m an active dog and need lots of adventure and fun!The shelter has me doing a lot of marking (oops). I’m not neutered yet and everything here smells different, so I just need some patience and a refresher on house-training.What I’m really hoping for is someone who’s home more often, someone active who wants a fun, adventurous Lab to join them on life’s outings. If you want a loyal friend who will cuddle, play, and love you endlessly—I’m your guy, and I`d make such an excellent family dog!If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, affectionate companion, come meet me. I can’t wait to finally find my person.

If you’re looking for a dog who brings BIG personality, BIG heart, and an even BIGGER love for snacks, meet Alistair! Don’t let his “senior” status fool you. This guy definitely didn’t read the handbook on being an old man. Instead of yelling at puppies to get off his lawn, he’s more likely to run and play with them. Alistair trots into every room like a goofy, certified silly man.Alistair’s first love is food and he works REALLY hard to get those treats. He sometimes gets a bit grabby when taking them but he is just so excited by those tasty morsels. One thing to note: while he gives an amazing “paw,” he doesn’t love having his paws held for too long. He’d much rather spend that time giving kisses or going for hikes and playing fetch!Alistair would also like to remind you that toys are extremely important to him. He’ll chase them, bring them back, and politely drop them at your feet like a very proud, slightly chaotic gentleman. With animals he’s respectful or playful, and with people he’s simply excited to say hello (though he prefers older kids who won’t topple over during a wiggle explosion). So if you’re looking for your next streaming, hiking, foodie buddy, look no further than Alistair and submit an application today!

Story
Meet Cindy Lou Chow! This lovely female Chow Chow has the classic temperament of her breed—shy, reserved, and wonderfully independent. She’s looking for an adopter who has experience and understands the unique nature of Spitz and Nordic breeds, someone who appreciates a dog with a gentle spirit, a thoughtful mind, and an aloof charm. She’s had a lot of change in her life, so new people and unfamiliar situations can make her nervous. She’ll need time, patience, and a calm environment to truly feel safe. But for those willing to go at her pace, the reward is watching her slowly open up, show trust, and reveal her soft, loyal heart. This girl was a little out of sorts when coming in as a stray, so she is hoping for a home with people that are there often to help build a consistent routine for her. If you’re experienced with independent breeds and want to build a quiet, respectful bond with a deserving dog, this special girl may be the perfect companion. She’s ready for someone who will give her the time she needs—and love her for exactly who she is.

Story
Well hello there, young whippersnapper. Name’s Charlie, and I’ve been around the block a few times—literally and figuratively. I’m a wise ol` yellow lab with a heart full of stories, a back touched by the years, and a spirit that still perks up at the sound of a friendly knock on the door. Life’s been a bit unsettled lately, so I can be anxious at first. But speak kindly, offer a gentle hand, and you’ll find I’m quick to soften. I walk just fine—with a little enthusiastic pulling here and there—and I know my sit and down. As for treats, I’ll only accept Benny’s Bullys. At my age, I’ve earned the right to be particular. When folks come to say hello, I’ll give one dignified bark, then shuffle over with a wiggle to greet them properly. Dogs get me awfully excited—sometimes too excited—so I’ll need patient, understanding canine friends. I came to the shelter through no fault of my own, and now I’m hoping for a quiet home with a yard where an old boy like me can stretch, sniff the breeze, and enjoy the simple things again. If you’re seeking a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a wise old heart, I’d be honored to spend my sunset years by your side.
