Story
Ahh… come sit with me a moment, won’t you? My name is Bowser, and I am an old soul in a very large body. A senior gentleman, if you please. The kind who prefers a leisurely walks in the park, spending the day resting in bed, and soaking up every bit of attention from those lucky enough to know me. People tell me I`m good company! Now, I should clear something up right away: I am an XXL fellow. A grand, towering lad. My photos try their best, but they simply cannot capture the presence of me. When I stand beside you, you will understand. With this size comes strength, and when I go for my beloved walks, I can be a bit… enthusiastic. The leash and I are still negotiating our relationship and I have been working hard on my leash skills with volunteers. I do love my strolls, though, and nothing makes me happier than fresh air and the world passing by. Despite my silvering years, I still have plenty of wiggle left in these old bones. When excitement strikes, I may forget my manners and pop up to say hello, purely out of joy, I assure you. And yes… I do have opinions, especially when treats are involved. If I feel I am being ignored, I may politely (or not-so-politely) remind you with my voice. What can I say? I like to talk. A gentleman must advocate for himself, after all.I am looking for a home that understands both my size and my heart - someone strong enough to handle my body, patient enough to earn my trust, and kind enough to love a big, silly old boy who still believes life has good chapters left to tell. I would prefer to be the only pet in your home, and I think in my senior years I deserve to get what I want! If you have room in your home, and your heart, for a towering gentleman like me, I would be honored to spend my golden years by your side.

Story
Don`t let Calzone`s tough guy exterior fool you - behind his big meaty head is a very sweet and sensitive boy who is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.Calzone can be very shy and nervous around new people and unfamiliar environments, so he’ll need time, patience, and gentle encouragement to help build his confidence and trust. Because of his timid nature, Calzone would do best with adopters who understand that progress may come slowly and are willing to let him move at his own pace. A calm, quiet, and predictable home would help him feel most comfortable.Because Calzone was picked up as a stray, his past is a bit of a mystery. His history with cats is unknown. He may do okay with quiet, respectful children who can understand his need for space and patience. He may also do well with calm, respectful dogs after slow and proper introductions. If you’re willing to give a shy dog the time he needs to blossom, Calzone could become a deeply loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Meet Baylee, an adorable beagle girl who is as sweet as can be!Baylee is an incredibly friendly little dog, making friends with both humans and other dogs everywhere she goes. Her hobbies include sniffing around outside, eating anything she can get her paws on, playing with her toys, and making new friends. She would be an excellent companion for all sorts of outings and adventures but is just as happy to sniff around the neighborhood and hang out on the couch. Miss Baylee has been a frequent flyer at the shelter, so her adopters need to be willing to work with her to prevent her from escaping again. Like many beagles, Baylee can be vocal and loves to express herself. Her history with children is unknown, but we think she would do well with respectful kids due to her friendly, tolerant nature. Her history with cats is unknown as well, however she does seem a bit too interested in small animals outside so at this time we are recommending she go to a home without small animal pets. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, a best friend, or a playmate, Baylee may be the lady you’re looking for!

Story
Meet Thor! This handsome guy is more than just his baby blue eyes and gorgeous white coat. True to his mighty name, Thor is strong, adventurous, and always ready to brighten your day with his playful spirit and charming smile. This intelligent and energetic boy loves exploring the world around him and is always on the lookout for new sights, smells, and sounds.Thor has lived with children before and done well. He has lived with cats as well but does enjoy pestering them, so confident, dog-savvy cats would be best for him. Thor also gets along with other dogs after a slow, proper introduction, although he does seem to have a preference for dogs that a similar size to himself. Like many huskies, he can be a bit touch sensitive and does not appreciate being grabbed by the collar or restrained. Thor is crate trained and house trained but could use some work on his leash manners. He has also been known to jump fences, so he will need to be monitored outside to start. Although Thor is approaching his senior years at 7 years old, he still has lots of pep in his step and is ready for the next chapter of life to come. If you think you can meet Thor’s enthusiasm for life and appreciate all things husky, fill out an application for Thor today!

Story
Hi, I’m Nayum, and while I may not be the kind of dog who rushes up to make friends right away, I promise I’m worth getting to know. The world can feel a little overwhelming to me sometimes, and new people or situations may earn a nervous growl or a cautious glance at first. But give me a few minutes, a little patience, and maybe a couple pieces of hotdog, and you`ll start to see the gentle, sweet girl hiding underneath. Once I feel safe, I lean into neck scratches, nudge hands for affection, and quietly enjoy being close to my people. My past is a bit of a mystery, but what we`ve learned is that I`m incredibly tolerant despite my worries. Even when I`m unsure, I choose to walk away or ask for space rather than escalate. I`m looking for a calm, predictable home with people who understand that confidence may come slowly, but every small victory is a big deal for a dog like me.I would love a fenced yard to help me continue my transition to indoor life, as I`ve spent much of my life outdoors. I`m still learning leash manners and can be quite strong when I walk, so I`ll need a family committed to helping me build those skills. A quiet, respectful dog companion could be a wonderful match for me, especially one who will give me space and let me warm up at my own pace. I should be fed separately from other dogs, as I prefer not to share my meals. If you`re looking for a dog who will instantly be everyone`s best friend, that may not be me. But if you`re willing to earn my trust, you`ll discover a gentle soul with a huge heart, quietly waiting for someone to show her that the world isn`t such a scary place after all.
