Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maverick is a 5/6 year old shepherd mix. We rescued him when he was nearly one year old. He has been a part of our family with our older dog who is 9 and our now almost 2 year old daughter. He is the most sweet, loving boy and wants nothing more than to lay on you and cuddle or run outside and play. He is fully trained and is a good listener. However, mav has A LOT of anxiety. He barks when people walk by the house, he needs a LOT of time to trust people coming into the home (will bark and pace). So he needs someone who is patient. Most importantly, he must be the only dog. He has begun guarding our daughter and his food, and takes this out on our older dog pretty severely. So he MUST be in a loving home where he is the ONLY DOG. Mav really is the sweetest boy and we want him to go to another loving home.

Story
Cedric is a 4 1/2 month old mastiff/rottweiler mix. He's very sweet and loves to play, both inside and outside. He does a good job of going to the bathroom outside, but still has occasional accidents. We have enjoyed having him, but we just don't have the time to commit to training him. He's up to date on his shots, rabies vaccine, and has a flea/tick collar that is good until August.

Story
Im very shy with new people. I would need a patient person to work with me. I walk good on a leash and am clean in my crate. Jet would require several meet and greets to allow him to feel comfortable with. I do well with other dogs.

Story
Heartworm Preventative: Interceptor given on the 27th of every month Flea and tick: Nexgard given on the 27th of every month Cinnamon has a lot of love to share. She is a favorite of the volunteers! Cinnamon has a super sweet personality and enjoys snuggling up and getting loved on. She can be very protective with food items, so she needs an experienced adopter in that area. Also would best in a home without small children due to her food protectiveness. Cinnamon needs to be with an easy going, non-alpha type dog as she is dog selective. Not suitable for a multi-dog household. She is active and enjoys playing with squeaky toys in our yard. Cinnamon LOVES going for walks and is a strong walker on the leash. Story
Heartworm Preventative: Interceptor Given 27th of every month Flea and Tick: Nexgard given 27th of every month Riley is a house-trained, energetic, Pit Bull Terrier mix. She completed a boarding and training program at Burk's Dog Training, and she will come with two free lessons to help her transition smoothly into her new home. Riley takes supplements for an old knee injury, and she limps on occasion. This makes long walks and some obedience commands tough for her. Riley got along with the trainers dogs which are her size. At this time, she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. This is what her training had to say about her: "Riley is a medium energy dog. She's friendly with dogs and people, but she seems to prefer a quieter home for day-to-day life. She's fine with new people coming into the house and likes small gatherings, but she prefers to hang back away from big gatherings. She's super smart and catches on very fast to training. Because of that, she also likes to see what kind of loopholes she can find in her training. A kind, yet firm handler that can help her stay on track is ideal. Riley is crate trained and stays in one when no one is home. She doesn't even attempt to jump our 4' fence here at the house. Riley's ideal home would be somewhere where she can take a walk around the neighborhood with you after work and then snuggle up on the couch to watch your favorite show for the rest of the evening! Story
Heartworm Preventative: 19th of every month Flea and Tick : 19th of every month Toby is active and needs lots of exercise. He's good with other dogs at doggie day care. He goes 1 day a week and can be bossy, especially with females. Toby listens when corrected. He has been to dog obedience classes. Toby sleeps in dog crate. He is prone to eating things, so he needs to be protected from that. He previously had surgery once from eating dog bedding, so he does not get a dog bed. Toby likes soft music playing when left alone. If you have an active, outdoor oriented home with lots of opportunity for exercise, and want a smart, fun-loving dog, then come and meet Toby!
