Story
Toby is a fascinating 7-year-old Redbone Coonhound mix with a longing to find the right home. He prefers a quiet environment where he can relax and settle down, and he is happy to receive attention from his human companion. Toby has some very special needs that would require a caring, patient owner to look after him. He is on a fish-only diet and is happiest when he receives his special treats. Toby has also dealt with ear, eye, and skin infection issues in the past and has received medication for these. At Four Footed Friends he tends to act with a more aggressive disposition towards the other dogs and would do best in a home where he is the only canine friend. His demeanor and temperament is similar to that of most hounds. With the proper patience and attention after adoption, we believe Toby would make a phenomenal pet for his owner. If you think you can provide Toby with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. If you think you can provide Buddy with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Meet Enzo! Enzo was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very fun, enthusiastic, high-energy, doggo. Enzo loves enjoying the great outdoors. Because of this and his high activity level, Enzo would love to have someone who would spend a lot of time playing with him. Enzo is a smart boy. He knows commands like, "sit" and would love to learn more! When Enzo isn't in the play yard or on a walk, you can typically find him getting attention from our staff! While he is a social butterfly with people, Enzo would prefer to keep his friends human as he doesn't seem to like any of our other dog residents. If you want to win over Enzo's heart, his favorite toy is a Nylabone! He could chew on one for hours. So, if you are looking for a friend to keep you fit and accountable for your activity level consider putting in an adoption application for our handsome guy, Enzo, today!Weight: 47 lbsActivity level: High Primary Color: Black Age: 4yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
Meet Smores! Smores is an energetic dog. This big guy loves to run around our play yard to get his energy out. His favorite toy is a rope toy, and you can often find one in his mouth when he's zooming around. Smores also enjoys working on his skills, especially for treats. He knows how to sit nicely and take the treats gently! Smores lived in a home with several other dogs, but they did not get proper attention so smores does have some guarding issues with his food. Smores would need to be the only pet in the home & We would not recommend him with small children or cats. Smores will need someone who is willing to put the time in to let him get comfortable with. This means many visits with him before adoption. Once he knows and trusts you, he is the sweetest boy! Weight: 120 lbs Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Age: 4yrs 4mths 3wks
