Story

Scout was foster-adopted in July 2025 from a rescue. He is a 5 year erold purebred American Pitbull Terrier. Unfortunately, that rescue did not have me sign an adoption contract. As it would turn out, Scout is not friendly with my 2 other male dogs despite months of trying. The rescue will not take him back. I have contacted more than 20 rescues and shelters and no one is able to take Scout. Scout has shown that he gets along with female dogs better than male dogs, he has had several play dates with female dogs with no issues. If Scout were to live with another male dog, I feel it would be best if the other dog was calm. Scout has a tremendous amout of energy, even for a Pittie. He also has anxiety. I wholeheartedly feel that his level of energy combined with his anxiety is a bad combination. Scout is otherwise a very happy and friendly dog but under absolutely no circumstances can he live with cats. His anxiety is managed with medication, but in the right home, he may not even need it
