Story
Meet Cookie Cookie is a stunning 2-year-old Catahoula mix with a look you won’t forget. Her unique coat pattern and beautiful mismatched eyes make her truly one of a kind, and her sweet, affectionate personality makes her even more special. In her photo, you can see her soulful expression and attentive stance—she’s always tuned in to the people around her. Cookie came to rescue from animal control alongside Muscles. The two get along great, but they do not need to be adopted together. Cookie would do best with thoughtful introductions to other dogs, as she can be dog selective, and she has not yet been tested with cats. This girl absolutely loves attention. One of her favorite things to do is gently place her head in your lap and look up at you, asking for love and affection. Cookie thrives on human connection and enjoys being close to her people. She’s also a big fan of car rides, all the treats she can get, and long, leisurely walks where she can take in the world. Because Cookie is strong and enthusiastic, she would be best suited for a home with older children. She could easily knock over a small child without meaning to, simply due to her size and excitement. Cookie is looking for a home that understands her needs, provides structure and consistency, and appreciates her loyal, loving nature. In return, she offers devotion, companionship, and endless affection. If you’re searching for a unique, gentle-hearted dog who just wants to be loved and included, Cookie may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Muscles This hunk of love is Muscles, a very handsome 2–3 year old “pocket pit”/microbully type who lives up to his name in the best way possible. At about 52 pounds of solid muscle, Muscles is a compact, powerful guy with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. In his photo, his broad smile, bright eyes, and confident stance say it all—he’s a total heartthrob and knows how to work the camera. Muscles came to rescue from animal control alongside his friend Cookie. They do not need to be adopted together, but they could be if someone is looking for a dynamic duo. Muscles is an absolute joy to live with. He does fantastic with housetraining—so much so that we’d confidently call him fully housetrained. He is crate trained, settles well, and understands household routines beautifully. He knows sit, stay, and down, and is eager to please, especially when affection is involved. He is dog-friendly and cat-friendly, and would be fine with kids, though he doesn’t always realize just how strong he is and could accidentally knock over a small child. Muscles is strong on leash and will need continued work on leash manners, but he enjoys walks and benefits from consistent guidance. True to his name, Muscles is all about affection. He wants to give all the kisses, soak up attention, and will happily melt into a puddle for belly rubs. He’s a total ham, loves being admired, and thrives on human connection. Muscles is looking for a home that will continue his training, provide structure, and appreciate just how special he is. In return, he offers loyalty, laughter, and an endless supply of love. If you’re searching for a well-behaved, affectionate, ridiculously handsome companion with a heart of gold, Muscles may just steal yours—fair warning. Weighing in at 8lbs, Penegal is a playful bundle of joy who'll chase after anything she can call a "toy" - squeaky balls, socks, or her fave stuffed buddy. She doesn't discriminate; she'll play with it all! This little social butterfly gets along swimmingly with cats and dogs alike. She’s a puppy so will need some training and a patient adopter to help her learn. But she’s full of snuggles and enthusiasm! Penegal's looking for a forever home where she can grow, learn, and shower her humans with love. Are you ready for this pint-sized bundle of joy? Story
Meet Aegir, a sweet gray short-haired puppy with a heart full of love and a serious appreciation for comfort. Aegir’s favorite place to be is somewhere warm and cozy, preferably cuddled up with her people. While she enjoys playing and romping like any puppy, she’s equally happy settling in for snuggles. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, making her a wonderful fit for a multi-pet home. She loves toys of all kinds and is very serious about her food—mealtime is one of her top priorities. Like all puppies, Aegir will need continued training, including house training, leash skills, and basic manners. She will also need consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of mental and physical enrichment as she grows. Puppies are a long-term commitment and require time, structure, routine veterinary care, and guidance to help them become confident, well-adjusted adults. If you’re ready to invest in a puppy and want one who offers both playful energy and affectionate cuddles, Aegir could be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Mongo is a three year old hound mix breed who weighs in at a approximately 45 pounds. Mongo is extremely friendly and likes to play with other dogs and toys and needs someone who wants a buddy for life who wants to be by your side all the time. He is also good with cats. He does know some basic commands, but still needs a little work on some manners. Mongo is neutered as had his shots (will need a booster) and is house broken. He’s also crate trained although he prefers to be with his human of course! We prefer a home with no young children just because he has to warm up at first to new people, and he might accidentally knock a young child over, or be a little much for wee little ones. A fenced yard is preferred so that he can get a lot of his energy out. Help Mongo have a wonderful Christmas and bring him to your forever home! *Mongo is part of our foster to adopt program. Story
Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you.
