Story
Zuko is a kind and loving blue heeler. She will be 2 years old on January 11th of 2026. She's incredibly intelligent and loves to be active. However, Zuko does not take well to being in a cage while we're at work. She's potty trained but will have accidents in the house if she's upset with you. Highly anxious dog who needs someone who will have the time and energy to be with her and train her. She's okay with a child in the home, but not multiple. She's fine with other dogs if they're not aggressive or overly "rowdy."

Story
Melly has been a special addition to our family for about 6 years. Due to unforeseen family health circumstances, we’re heartbroken to have to rehome him. Melly is just a huge love bug. He adores cuddling in warm, cozy spots and wants all the affection you can give. Toys aren’t his thing—he’s an old soul who thrives on closeness and quiet companionship. Melly is absolutely wonderful with children and loves other dogs, but would likely prefer a calm, peaceful household at this stage of life. He likes to stay within eyesight and will experience separation anxiety when left alone. Preferably someone who works from home and can take him everywhere, as he cannot be left alone due to his separation anxiety. Although, that may be able to be worked on. He’s fully house- and crate-trained. Melly has a history of Lyme disease, so his joints occasionally bother him—especially during cold or rainy weather—but he manages well with love and care. Melly is gun shy and CANNOT be used as a hunting dog.

Story
Sam is a sweet and loving dog who needs an experienced owner to give him a safe home. Sam has been with us since he was a puppy and he’s an incredibly smart and high energy dog. Unfortunately, he has some behavioral problems and struggles with reactivity and anxiety. He has been through extensive behavioral training and has come a long way. But, we are expecting our first child, and unfortunately Sam’s behavior can be unpredictable. He has bitten a handful of times in his life, when he was afraid or stressed. It has not happened often, and he has never caused significant injury to the person. However, with a baby on the way, we can’t risk his behaviors in our home. We are heartbroken to rehome him, because Sam is such a beautiful dog and he can be so incredibly sweet. We know there is a home out there for him where he can continue to grow and be safe. He just needs an experienced owner who can give him lots of love and activity.
