I work a lot and I have a small child and my living arrangement doesn't have enough space for her to have the freedom to run and play like she needs. I am sad to send her away but I know it's the right thing to do for her.

Story
Meet Randy!  Randy has been seeking his forever home for a long time!  Randy was brought into foster as a skinny stray and has made tremendous strides since being placed in foster care.  Randy has put on weight and begun to enjoy the comforts of having a home.  Although Randy is approximately 12 years young, he still has a lot of spunk left in him and really enjoys going for walks and playing in the yard.  Randy does have some arthritis as does any pup his age so he does need minimal steps but has gotten a lot stronger over the last months.  Randy is house broken and doesn't need to be crated when left at home. Good with dogs and cats older children preferred!  Great couch potato!  If Randy sounds like your guy apply today   ##1828946##

Story
Meet Diesel, the sweetest Pitt mix looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his life. Diesel is thought to be 6. We don't know much about him. He was found starved and in bad shape. He's been gaining great weight at his foster house! and loves to eat He was shot in the leg and walks with a limp, which he definitely plays up for new people or when he wants something. His skin was in rough shape because he was so malnurished but it's getting better with medicated shampoo and a good diet. Diesel is a sweetheart. He loves his crate and goes there when he needs a break. He's house broken. He's been through a lot and prefers to snuggle and lay around instead of running and playing all day. While he gets along fine with other dogs, he would be happiest with older dogs or by himself.  ##1996738##

Story
Seeking a hound dog?! Meet Cricket! Cricket is a 2 year old petite plott hound mix weighing 38 pounds. Cricket is adapting to life outside of the shelter--she spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, so she's still getting used to the everyday happenings outside those kennel walls. When Cricket got to her foster family she stayed in her crate or hid behind the couch. Slowly she warmed up and began to show her playful and sweet personality. She was timid and shy at first, but she has blossomed into a playful, goofy, and sweet girl and has all the love to give to a patient family who is looking for a forever friend.. She does well with other dogs and children, but she does like to zoom and chase them around, so cats might not be the best compaions for her. Cricket is crate trained and does well in her crate. She rests and sleeps in her crate as well as using it when she needs to relax. She is housetrained and is working on her leash manners, therefore she will need more training in this area.  Cricket is seeking a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and strech her legs. Home must have another dog to help her gain confidence and continue to teach her how to be an inside dog.  Cricket is also spayed and up to date on all required vaccinations. Cricket will be available for adoption on or after 3/10/2024 with Paws Across Pittsburgh KL# 16182 ##1991589##

Story
Hi there! My name is Luna but my foster mom calls me bunny-bear. She says I am soft and snuggly like a teddy bear and bouncy like a bunny. She also said that maybe I was part mountain goat after she saw me climb a ladder. I think she is just confused because I am pretty sure I am a dog.”   At one year old, Luna still has lots of puppy energy and will need help learning how to be a well behaved dog. She is smart and eager to please and will learn quickly. Luna is almost completely house trained and sleeps quietly in her crate all night long. She is still working on being calm in her crate when she’s alone during the day. Luna loves to run and play with her foster humans but can be too jumpy with the little ones so she would do best in a home with older kids. With a slow introduction, she would do great with another dog who enjoys her rough and tumble play style. Luna is an athletic pup and would make a great hiking partner and might enjoy agility training. After playing and adventuring, she wants nothing more than to snuggle up with her humans for lots of love.    If you think Luna might be a good fit for your family, you can fill out an adoption application at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com.
