Story
Meet Peep – An 8-Month-Old Husky Looking for the Right Match 🩵Unfortunately, Peep has found himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own, and we're hoping his next home will be his forever one.Now 8 months old, Peep is right in the middle of adolescence—a stage where his larger-than-life husky personality is on full display. He's smart, vocal, energetic, stubborn, and always has something to say. If you're familiar with huskies, you'll recognize all the classic traits in this handsome boy. If you're not, Peep is probably not the dog to learn with.Peep needs an experienced owner who understands the breed and is committed to providing the structure, consistency, and training that a young husky requires. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to engage with the world around him, but like many huskies, he can be independent and likes to make his own decisions. He will thrive with someone who is willing to continue working with him and channel his energy into positive outlets. One thing Peep does exceptionally well is communicating. He isn't afraid to let you know how he's feeling and is very clear when he needs space. Because of this, he needs a home with adults only or older, respectful children who can understand and honor his boundaries. He is not a good fit for homes with young children.Peep is still very much a puppy despite his size. He loves to play, enjoys attention on his terms, and has plenty of energy to burn. He'll need an adopter who is prepared for all the fun—and challenges—that come with raising an adolescent husky. Most of all, Peep needs a chance. At just 8 months old, he should be learning about the world from a loving family—not growing up in a shelter. The longer he waits, the more important it becomes to find him a home that can provide the guidance, patience, and understanding he needs to become the incredible adult dog we know he can be.Peep isn't looking for a perfect family—he's looking for the right family. One that appreciates his quirks, respects his boundaries, embraces his husky antics, and is willing to invest in his future.Could that be you? 🐺💙📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Story
‼️ SPECIAL FOSTERS NEEDED- Plea for Our Flower Girls: Daisy & Zinnia 🌼 Daisy (white) and Zinnia (brindle) have been with us since July 22nd, and while they’ve made meaningful progress, we believe the shelter environment have taken Daisy and Zinnia as far as it can. These girls would truly benefit from specialized foster homes to help them grow in their confidence and become adoptable! When these girls arrived with their sister, Rose, they were terrified of the world. For weeks, they could barely be touched and refused to go outside. They would quiver in the corner when any human was present. Through daily work, patience, and unwavering dedication from our staff and volunteers, Daisy and Zinnia have slowly begun to trust. We’re so happy to share that Rose has already been adopted, and now it’s time for her sisters to find their chance at a happy ending too. 💗We truly feel that continuing in a kennel setting will make it difficult for them to reach a “typical” adoptable place. What these girls need now is a calm, patient home where they can decompress, go at their own pace, and begin to understand what life outside survival mode feels like. What Daisy & Zinnia Need:- A patient, understanding foster or adopter- A home willing to give them time, space, and grace- Another confident dog in the home is an absolute MUST — they learn best by watching and following a canine role model- A fenced-in yard, because once they feel safe, they love to run and play with their dog friendsWhile Daisy and Zinnia rely heavily on each other right now, we believe that to truly grow and find their own confidence, they will do best in separate foster homes, each paired with a confident dog who can show them the ropes. These girls have clearly been through something traumatic. They are not “broken” — they are healing. And with the right person, their world could finally begin to feel safe.If you’ve ever had a soft spot for the underdog…If you believe love can be quiet and slow…If you have the patience to let trust bloom…🌸 Please consider fostering or adopting Daisy or Zinnia. 🌸You could be the turning point in their story. If you can’t foster or adopt, PLEASE SHARE!! Sharing this profile helps more than you know. 💕📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA📝 Foster Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Story
Meet Adoptable Jenkins 💛 He is about 10 years old, and while his life hasn’t always been easy, you’d never know it by the way he greets the world. He’s been through A LOT, yet he remains an incredibly sweet boy with a gentle spirit and a surprisingly positive outlook on life.Jenkins has some bad joints, so he doesn’t move very fast and prefers a calm, relaxed lifestyle. Short strolls, soft beds, and plenty of rest are right up his alley. What he may lack in speed, he more than makes up for in love. Jenkins absolutely **adores people** and truly shines when he’s soaking up attention, affection, and companionship. He would do best as the only dog in the home, as he doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs. What he really wants is simple: a quiet, comfortable place where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished for the rest of his years.Senior dogs like Jenkins have so much love to give, and they ask for so little in return. Please consider opening your heart and home to a senior pup. We have several right now who are all incredibly sweet and so deserving of loving homes. Jenkins is ready to spend his golden years being someone’s very best friend. 🐾💙📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA📝 https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388
